You did it!!!! 👏👏👏 Congrats, and it turned out beautifully! The little tip about the scraps being used to finish the outfit is a hidden gem! I'll definitely keep that in mind for my own cosplays!
I love how the sun can shine through the sheer fabric. I thought at first, purple aerogel! Haha (my brother was a rocket scientist). So ghostly and ethereal, yet from any other angle you're mysterious and witchy. Perfect!
18th century sleeves were often cut cross grain - you can especially see it on striped fabrics. The stripes go the "other" direction on the sleeves about half the time.
It turned out gorgeous. So glad you were able to get the long sleeves even if it meant piecing. You wouldn't know it was there. The dress is perfect for the haunted season.
Rebecca again you out did yourself. Just the fact you made it with such little fabric, loved that you pieced it. It actually looks very antique. I think because of the thinness of the fabric and the design. You do such lovely work. And I hope fur babies are doing well. ❤
Wowza, this has really got a classy historical dark halloween vibe to it - I was head scratching a bit as to what look it was going to become - but this is amazing!! Yum yum
I always learn something valuable from your sewing vlogs! Seeing you get this gorgeous garment out of such a small piece of fabric was amazing! Such a wonderful color and it does absolutely look stunning with that black silk! I also found myself admiring your hair and the headpiece in the shoot and to find that you just improvised that with some scraps was stunning! What a wonderful project! You knocked it put of the park, for sure ❤
Lol I honestly thought you were wearing a mic at the point of your wig because of the shadow caused by the every so tiny warping! I probably wouldn't have noticed it except I used to do sound for theatre 😊 ( it was only noticeable in the up close view )
Watched this while playing with the purple ribbon, it's the only way to stop my kitten from channel hoping, it matches your dress very well, you look fabulous in your dress, how is your new cat settling in? Hugs to Lion.❤

That particular purple looks great on you and I love it with the black accents.
Wow, you’d never know that it was a struggle to fit everything on such a small amount of fabric. It looks perfect! 💜💜💜
Thanks!

Very nice! And I particularly like - beside of course the dress - your wig and the hat

I have vintage pieces that are pieced in this manner. Wonderful work.
Thanks! And yep, there's some piecing on some of my antique pieces as well.

Lovely. You pieced it like they did in the 1780s &90s! I love period work with reclaimed fabrics!

Thanks! She is settling in very well with Lion and me. 🐾
It's gorgeous and looks amazing on you. What hat is that your wearing? It's cool.
Thanks! It's just a fabric scrap pinned in place like a turban.
💛
Reine is pronounced ren, like ren faires...
Love this dress, thanks for the video!

💜
It looks amazing and no one would know how strategic you had to be, if you didn't tell them. You're so talented!
How is kitten settling? :)
Thanks! She is settling in well. 🐾
💜🖤💜🖤
Well you did it, you squeaked that dress out of too little fabric! I thought for sure you were going to need to find some black sheer fabric to add in
And your sleeves are so long!
