I have a cat who is like this around strangers. I applaud you for being able to get the biggest mat out at all- I'm not sure my cat would've been this tolerant. I've had to do that towel trick on him a few times and let me tell you, he did NOT like that. Big kudos for not getting maimed as well. I, as my cat's owner, probably wouldn't have been able to achieve that. I've given him a couple desperately needed flea baths (we live in an old place with sand underneath, we get them bad in the summer no matter what we do) and I'm convinced the only reason he didn't murder me on the spot was bc I'm his human; if I were anyone else, he probably would have behaved worse than Creature. I get it. I hope he gets the help he needs and thank you for still loving him, even after all this. The compassion you've shown him means the world to me. Oh, boy. SOMEONE'S fight or flight leans towards fight. Poor little guy was very scared and stressed. Absolutely beautiful chonk chonk chonk boi. Those mesmerizing eyes! It's so hard. Like, our pets have a right to defend their bodies and a right to feel safe, and a right to have as much physical autonomy and choice in what they do as possible, and they also need care that they may find distressing. It's unfortunate that it can't be explained to them that it's for the best. I had a fractious cat who could not be groomed, and having him sedated was so much better and easier, and reinforced car/carrier fear WAY less. I agree, with the degree of stress he was showing, he needs sedation grooming. Poor dandruffy boy. I bet he's a real sweetheart at home. He was trying his best to be friendly, it was just too much for him.
I think it is good that you show this too, because it is not always nice and cuddles and sometimes you need to go to the vet to take care of them without risk for yourself. ❤

Poor fella. It’s been quite a month for him.
Don't forget the fact he was shoved into a tiny uncomfortable carrier for who knows how long of a car ride.
Yeah, he was frankly being as reasonable as can be expected in that situation, poor guy. Glad she kept herself and him safe
All I can say is WOW REALLY WOW! You are a very brave soul ❤
“Creature”is…a perfectly suitable name for him. Captures both his graciousness and inner calamity
Defeated for the first time 😂🎉 This cat is a hero to his kind........ 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Creature is a very fitting name for his personality.
0:01 no way they did the foreshadow meme
Vanessa: "I'm going to..."
Creature: NOPE!
You called him fat. Of course he got angry.
It's Vanessa's fault. Creature's a perfectly behaved gentleman. 🤣🤣🤣
😂🤣😂
please be joking
@@topasu9454lol I’m
Pretty sure s/he is
Cats aren't as easy to offend as humans.
In terms of chill, we sold out fast
😂😈I feel very bad about this, but I was cheering for Creature! I think there is a biker gang somewhere that wants their leader back!
Yes! The Yells Angels, Canada chapter.
If anything ever happens to me, I hope the people taking care of my baby are as kind to him as you were to Creature.
Body of chonky potato but soul of a sabertooth tiger 🐯 his ancestors must be proud oh him
Thank you for trying to help this fierce creature. You did better than I would!
Wow, I’ve had many cats and I’ve rarely seen this much spicy essence.
He’s got the crazy eyes. Oh yes!
I think it is good that you show this too, because it is not always nice and cuddles and sometimes you need to go to the vet to take care of them without risk for yourself. ❤
A great learning case study. Period. When extensions of good will creep and violate the threshold of safety and preemptive personal boundaries (your intuition and professional judgement were accurate more upstream than sacrificing your personal safety). 👏👏👏
I love the subtle foreshadowing lol
This is exactly the type of content I subscribed for. Dog videos are fine and all, but crazy cat videos are divine.
I agree!! I feel slightly vindicated by this one, too. I have never had a cat that would let me groom it properly! 😭
@@betht60 I have had 2 out of 3 that have and my 3rd recent loves it and belly rubs and is cuddly
@@AdriftInTheWatersGorge ❤️❤️❤️
"Cray cray" 🤣😂🤣😂Vanessa you are hilarious!
Absolutely MASSIVE. Like what a UNIT.
Omg he looks JUST like my late cat Mattingly! Although he just shares the looks. Mattingly, aka squish, was a big softy who loved cuddles
I don't think he was so much mean as just stressed out. Which is why he calmed down as soon as he was off the table.
She knows this. Vanessa had groomed quite a bit of cats to know when a cat can’t be groomed because they’re too stressed out and are showing signs of aggression
Yeah, Vanessa has said a few times that stressed out or scared animals, rather than mean ones, are usually the ones you have to watch out for
Probably thinks he's at the vet when on the table
Nah. He was mean. He knew if he did the berserker routine he'd get his way.
@@patrickgriffiths889 tell me you don’t own an animal and understand their behaviors without telling me you don’t own an animal and understand their behaviors. Cats (and dogs) don’t act aggressive just to “be mean” to get what they want. Since they don’t know how to talk like we humans do, they show signs to leave them alone and that they’re stressed and anxious through body language and that can include “unwanted” behaviors like aggression (illness and injuries apply too to aggressive behaviors). Behavior is communication
I like that you post the videos even with the ones who are too spicy to take a bath
Poor kitty. So cute.
The subtle foreshadowing 😂
What a gorgeous kitty! I need Vanessa to groom my mom’s cat, he’d definitely be a “don’t come again” 😂😂😂😂😂
I love your commentary. 😂
I use to have a cat like this. We called her “bitchy kitty”
He sounds ferral . What a beautiful cat. He is very much stressed and not used to grooming
Not stressed.. aggressive
@@molliwilson5639 aggression in most cats stems from fear/stress. this cat showed a lot of stress signals. An ACTUALLY aggressive cat wouldn't have given so much warning before trying to swat or bite. This cat hissed about a thousand times before it actually did anything. This is a cat desperately asking to be left alone, and is trying to be nice about it LOL
Poor creature. I bet normally he's a cuddle bug. 😅
probably is around trusted peope
"As soon as he got off the table he turned in to different cat" poor baby had stage fright 😅
I’m so sorry to laugh! Poor Creature. I feel your pain. I have felt your pain many times 😼
