I still have my ticket stub from the first original License To Ill tour. Fishbone opened the show. 1987, The Beasties will live in hip hop history forever.
All their albums are fire, but Paul's Boutique is their magnum opus because with the massive amount of samples the Dust Brothers put into producing this one album, just to clear all the samples they used back then, that album would take a billion dollars to produce today.
I know it’s weird that three Jewish guys from NYC that were originally a punk band are the greatest hip-hop band ever, but it’s just a fact. It is such a shame that hip-hop has no memory. It’s always the current thing. The greats get forgotten by each new generation.
This song was a classic in High School. Bass rocked in the car during the chorus. My subwoofers would almost blow during the bass hit... People could make money going down The Beastie Boy discography similarly to Eminem. As their music evolved and sometimes super random but the percussion always on point. I love the original DJs with records. I used to go to record shops with my best friend as he was a DJ for underground events. He loved mixing DJ Shadow amongst others into his underground ravers.
I’ve been checking in on your channel, just not daily because you probably know that the event 100’s of millions were waiting for the Death of Slim Shady to drop. Global event. Marshall Mathers had posted to listen to the tracks in order starting with track one. Went to a channel I knew would do every track in one sitting. Well worth the wait! Now I can drop in regular on reactions, Eminem, Ren, Twenty One Pilots , Beastie Boys etc. I do ❤️ your channel!
Alright, I'm an old man hip hop fan dude, and here's the short story of the Beastie Boys. Their first album License To Ill on the Def Jam label was marketed as parody comedy rap. They had a falling out with Def Jam and went on to make many amazing albums, starting with Paul's Boutique, which Shake You Rump was on. Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty.... all amazing albums by the Beastie Boys. They had a hard time shaking their original comedic image from their first album, but they went on to make super dope shit. They're like the hip hop Beatles. It started off as bubble gum pop, but morphed into real ass art.
This album is considered up there with..."Miles Davis - Kind of Blue"...seriously, the influences and DJ sampling and turntablism on this album was that pioneering.
Paul’s Boutique is in my top 3 albums of all time - absolutely phenomenal
"like a pimp I'm pimpin, got a boat to eat shrimp in, nothing wrong with my leg I'm just b-boy limpin."
This track blasting from 12 in speakers in a beater Honda… halcyon days
Pauls Boutique is one of the best Hip-Hop/Rap albums OF ALL TIME!! There will never be anything like it again.
The entire album is fire
Beatie Boys always fun and undeniably legit
When I had my system bumping back in the early 90’s this bass was absolutely destroying.
Aint nobody got shit on this, 30 years later. 💯 Its just FUCKIN cool! 😎
Beastie Boys are the greatest group of all time and not just in hip hop!
I still have my ticket stub from the first original License To Ill tour. Fishbone opened the show. 1987, The Beasties will live in hip hop history forever.
Fucking legends. kids don't care what anyone thinks. That's the whole Album
Thumbs up on the sf2 drop
One of the best all time hip hop albums! Easily in the top three.
I've been listening to Beastie Boys for over 20 years. Still love them!
Thanks for your reaction. 💛💛💛
summer of '91 we listened to this until the tape broke
Should definitely check out “car thief”… you’ll dig it, same album
This whole album is best listened to in a car from the 90’s that has a ton of bass😎🍻✌️🖖

Sabatoge, Intergalactic, Professor Booty ... Beastie Boys have so many great songs.
This track smokin

car thief, pop your balloon, high plains drifter, assuming you've done pass the mic and root down- there's sooo many
Pop Your Balloon!! No one ever does that one. Just make sure it's the uncensored version.
Oooh! You are so close to hitting 1K in subscribers! Happy to see that! ❤Beastie Boys!
Hey man, you were great playing Eddy Murphy’s little brother in Bowfinger!

Good work sir!
Check out pass the mic
You do know the music is in stereo? So wearing your headphones on one ear takes away from the music. Nothing surprises me anymore.
It's like reading every other page of a book
I'd Love to see your reaction to a song called Mope By The BloodHound Gang
Please check out Root Down next!!
This is the Rap/Hip Hop version of Sgt Peppers
This album is considered up there with..."Miles Davis - Kind of Blue"...seriously, the influences and DJ sampling and turntablism on this album was that pioneering.
DJ Hurricane was the DJ on this album.
Mike didn't show up until Hello Nasty.
The Dust Brothers and DJ Hurricane did this album.
Mix master mike wasnt untill 98 this is 89 dj hurricane and dust brothers
THAT is a bold statement!!
But I'll be damned if I can find any fault in your logic. 😎
Do you not understand how stereo works?!
