I disagree about the ultility belt. It is much more detailed and accurately painted on the DC Collectables version. The Mcfarlane one just looks like a flat yellow piece of plastic. I had to paint mine (I have the Mcfarlane version) using the belts of DC Collectables and Neca 1/4 as references and now it looks way better. I used a mix of gold and copper acrylic paint for a realistic metallic feel and also painted out the missing silver details. (The sculpt is there but they forgot to paint them). Also made the lower abdomen grey and added backwash. Now it looks better, almost like a smaller version of the Neca 1/4.
Thanks man you inspired me to paint mine. I was playing the game and took some photos. And used a hot toys image as a reference as well. It looks amazing. And I see where McFarlane missed the grey on his stomach chest as well. I appreciate this comment. A lot. Love my Batman now
The ball joints in the ankles are backwards. I find this has happened a few times with Mcfarlane figures where you just can't them to stand, but if you turn the ball joint right around and swivel the foot back into the proper place it's easier to get him to stand up properly without the stand.
Can't remember which one it was but something similar happened while covering this batch of videos. A joint spun in place and the cut of the joint was perpendicular.
I go with the McFarlane version even if its color/paint apps are inaccurate and perhaps the legs may be disproportionate. DC Collectibles is just way too overall lanky which is tragic because that figure actually has some weight and craftsmanship that you can feel in-hand. But the McFarlane version overall looks like it could beat the living crap out of everyone and has a much more overall muscular/intimidating look, which is more realistic.
Another great review. I love these two figures. The McFarlane version is “in my opinion” a better figure. I feel the other’s head is too small. I completely agree with the ability to stand. I have mine in a dynamic pose on top of a McFarlane vehicle, and his cape is a great way to stabilize him. Keep up the great content.

@@TheGreatestTerrariaPlayerEver Thank you, appreciate it! You mean, is there an Arkham Batmobile from McFarlane? No, but there's a decent looking one from Jada but it won't be to scale with these figures.
How the plastic feels in the mcfarlane figure? Does it feel "durable"? And one more question is completely made out of plastic or do you feel any other material added to it?
@@DarkspiderDavid91 thanks for replying, and awesome video btw. I hope you don't mind me asking some more question about it. First at all, the most important thing about a figure is the quality of the material in my humble opinion, for example if you can feel some "weight" while holding the figure and how sturdy it feels. Which of the two figures would you say it feels better when talking about the sturdiness and weight?
I bought both, I like the McFarlane more mainly for the head sculpt, abdominal plates and the bigger rifle, I bought the other one first not knowing McFarlane had made one, I dont mind having alternate or multiple versions of ''My favorite comic book character'' My McFarlane figure stands okay, Each individual copy may have some slight flaw in density of the plastic causing it to be off balance But I'm just guessing here, I got 45 different Darth Vader figures (LOL) so I'm glad McFarlane is making tons of Batman (and some other cool DC figures, Darksied, Death Metal Wonderwoman, Cyborg, and the 7 Evil Batmen from Dark Knights Metal) Keep them coming Todd !!!
The figure just needs bit more paint and I think it’s perfection. I didn’t have a problem standing mines up. Just add bit of paint to the ab area and little bit of silver dry brushing is what I did to mines and it’s an awesome looking figure
@@DarkspiderDavid91 yeah man just makes the figure look much better. It’s a brilliant figure as is though. Done the same with the McFarlane Deathstroke too. You should definitely do that too a comparison video

why does yours look more shiny than mine? also mine has silver paint details on the belt and my belt is less polished looking. is the one you got a rehash? or a running change?
I'm not a certified modder or customizer of action figures so I can't recommend to remove any action figure parts right away. I'd consult some videos on here or reddit posts to see how its done.
@@DarkspiderDavid91 I can confirm that the heads of both figures come off pretty easily and fit back right in. Let me try this myself. The Arkham Knight head also works nicely on the Mcfarlane Arkham City Batman and makes that figure look better.
Originally I would've said the DC Collectibles. But being that that version is no longer in circulation and your means to get it are only though scalpers, I'd stick with the currently circulated McFarlane version.
@@DarkspiderDavid91 only through scalpers? Or ppl who bought the figures back when they released? Is it scalping if you’ve had it in your collection for years?
Some thing that I don't like about Macfarlane it's that they don't paint well the figures, that black chest looks pretty bad, can't believe they did better job with their movie maniacs line.
Mcfarlane is a nice beefy intimidating Batman like he came right out of the game. Love the flowing cape on him too. My favorite video game Batman in figure form.
The paint is actually filled in on th DC Collectibles one, it actually has the metal pins painted in and other metal parts like in the neck and gauntlets, not to mention that beautiful carbon fiber finish on the shoulders and the belt is properly painted unlike the Mcfarlane one which is the incorrect color and also one solid color, (idk how he got that one so wrong). The proportions on the DC Collectibles are more game accurate, Mcfarlane has short thighs and his cowl is too wide and is overall too beefy, his proportions look closer to Arkham Origins Batman. The shape of Mcfarlane upper torso and chest is off too. Mcfarlane definitely has a much nicer mouth and face, cape is also nice but not game accurate at all.
In this particular case, Mcfarlane did it too much better!

You see the Dark Knight Returns figs just announced? And the 3 Jokers wave which has maybe the best Batman ever in it?
Tempted for that DKR one.
I hate every batman cape on every batman figure. I tend to always replace it with pleather
The gel gun from the City figs looks awesome with McFarlane Knight
Whihc version are you talking about? McFarlane or Collectibles for the City one?
How the plastic feels in the mcfarlane figure? Does it feel "durable"? And one more question is completely made out of plastic or do you feel any other material added to it?
Mostly plastic and rubber. All generally feels durable save for the ears and shoulder pieces.
