i took it from my friend, his name is Phuc. i have an idea to convert this car alternator to generator, it's powerful with maximum voltage is 48 volt and 70 Amperes. Don't throw away broken Car alternator, let turn it to generator or Brushless motor to install it on bike or using it to make a wind generator.

You have simply convert a alternator to another alternator. Not to brushless motor
Brushless motor with brushes is not brushless.

I don't understand the 'brushless' in the title. The brushes are still in use and connected by the yellow cables to the battery ?
The yellow wires with brushes are a electromagnet and the three wires are for the so called "brushless motor"

Nicely done but I want to see what kind of load you can apply on the output and how hot it gets inside. Also use it as a motor, not just as a motor driving a unloaded motor !

I did it allready! It works! The núcleo with current 12 volts works as a magnet also it can replace with neodimium magnets instead currents 12 volst from the batery

Would the wiring for the stator windings be in the same configuration if you wanted to use this as a motor? I have four sets of wires like you have and want to connect them to a speed controller.

I have question can we use speed mosfet controler and bridge rectifier at same time?
Can oscilator circuet by aplied on that alternator spining at centrain speed so he automsticaly swaps from generator to starter bruchless motor wuld that by posibel with automated switches?
Other question I have how culd we force that same alternator to charge baterrys at low speed exampel 500rpm for smaller engines runing that generator wuld it by posibel.
Third question I tried once useing hv ceramic capacitors on my ignition system so my starting charge on alternator got afected how do I protect my alternstor from external magnetic fields ?
My starting charge was swaped from 1200rpm to 2500rpm when I used hv capacitors so any ideas hiw to prevent damage to alternators?

Can I use it without the regulator, if I connect the u1,v1,w1 together and have just 2 wires out connecting with normal diode and capacitor, will it give me 12v and the max Ampere at output ?
He does not use regulator what he connected is three phase rectifier, you can make it using 6 diodes, it's very simple, to the two wires that he connected you need to connect a battery so it will energize the rotor, you can also attach neodimium magnets to the rotor and you won't need battery anymore.

What is that the small one that you connect in 3 blue wires?
It's a rectifier. Just lile the one he cut out of the inside of the alternator. This is still just an alternator. No conversion has been made.
cool but go and watch ( liberty 1 and part 2 and 3 ) type that in lots don't believe it but he takes it all appart and shows everything also buy some neodeieyem magnets and add them into your altenator all the best

Anybody know how much power I can put through the alternator i wanna make one that can 10kw or more but idk if they can handle that
Dude this is what I need. I just can't find the parts. I need it to make 56-57v at about a 100-80amps. The windings I understand and I can figure my amps, rpm ect but the rectifier that hits 100amps at 56v is killing me. Any advice? If one that could do 57v at more amps is available that would work too but I'll never use the extra rating.
You can make your own based op singel diodes. 200 amp diodes (700 A peek) can go up to 170 V reverse tension

I contected another bridge from main wires to rotor and removed battery after starting.

He literally didnt do anything. It's working just like an alternator should. Just doesnt have a voltage regulator.
@@blackz06 the wiring style was changed. original configuration was probably a "delta" and he converted it to a "wye". They have different charateristics in generating and using power. A you tube video would do far more justive than myself so I wont go into detail but look that up and youll see what he actually did here...Unless we didnt in which case it IS just an alternator lol.

@Scaggs The ones I have, from US autos, have a shaft that PROTRUDES out of one side. I need to apply 2 pulleys, one at each end . Offset torque loads and what-not . Boat stuff. The one shown here is perfect

Idea is best ....... Excellent but you can do this by.. Use a inverter and 12v battery use a motor to run alternator and use the alternator to charge the battery.... Just try there'is no need to do any alterations to alternator

No. the battery only energizes the rotor windings to magnetize them. - Others build a new rotor with magnets instead of windings, no battery needed that way

if you change the rotor of the motor for a rotor with permanent magnets, you can transform this motor into a fully BLDC motor
The energize the rotor, you are using the brushes. Hence, your description in inaccurate.

I don't get this! The car engine spins the alternator to generate power to charge the battery and run other electrical components in the car. So why are modifications needed just because a blade spins the alternator. I get that the alternator needs to spin at a minimum RPM to function at a minimum, but it seems to me to be no different applying a combustion engine as a motor force as opposed to turbine blades.
He modified it so that the alternator output voltage is no longer limited to 14 volts. It can now also be run as a motor by applying voltage to the two posts that he is using as the output when running it as a generator.

don't understand why you need to convert. It is a generator once your rotate it, and it is motor once you supply a 12V. and it is still brush.

battery draw: 12v(2.5)=30amps
total=288 watts
output=48v(8)=384watts
so a gain only of 96 watts
But you're not taking into account that you'd not use a drill to spin it. You'd use the wind or flowing water to generate the rotation.
