What is the rpm and the currents drawn at various speeds. If the motor is powered, but no acceleration provided, will the stator and rotor still draw power from the controller and the batteries? How much?

You cannot, it is somthign similar to a BLDC motor, instead of the magnets in the BLDC, we are exciting the field with a power source like in a DC motor and this becomes the rotor. The 3 wires will have to go to the BLDC controllers and this becomes the stator. Overall it is an IN-RUNNER.

That's to exite the rotor coil. If the rotor is not magnetised, it won't rotate.
