... depends... mine mounts straight to the fender... a little mod and or stock... i switched to a fender rack... now I can put it on and take it off as well as strap on a bag or two...
Great review, liked the energy and enthusiasm for the new Bobber Black from Mr Al Pine Star, contagious. I feel a little sympathy for the early Bobber takers from the previous model because Triumph has made such good although subtle revisions on the one hand but on the other, Triumph would also be criticised for not tweeking and udgrading, keeping up (i.e. wasn't, in part, that that left the door open for the Japanese marque's back in the day! They'd have appeared sooner or later anyway though, which I'm happy about for many reasons). Triumph are on a roll, they're more than keeping up, they're exceeding expectations in their own way and style with this retro range. I'm a big sports bike fan but I also really like the Triumph retro range of bikes, I just feel I'd want a little more power, like the Bonny Sport R for example, bring it on Triumph, big thumbs up.
You guys did get some of the origins of the bobber correct, they are closely related to the origins of the chopper. The important aspect of these bikes is that they were designed for racing. The bobber being the all around racing style & the chopper as a dedicated drag racer. The chopper, though developed in the USA was developed by Triumph engineers who worked in the USA after the war & tested all their bikes in california & did their final tests out in bonneville. The other aspect of both was the bikes were as stripped down as possible ( allong with the "bobbing" or "chopping" of the fenders ). Still, a good video & you guys make consistantly good videos. TY & wishing you guys many years of safe & fun riding. Keep up the great work
Good review I thought, I have ridden both the standard Bobber and the new Indian Bobber. Both brilliant motorcycles in their own way. It’s getting very close to decision time on which to buy, I think it all goes to personal choice, I’m not a personal fan of the all Black bike but.... I think the Triumph Black will be the bike for me although I do love the standard Bobber colours. The Bobber scene is a very personal choice of bike, (the Indian is a fantastic looking bike) it’s not a do it all bike and those who say it is are having a laugh 🤭. I do have a sports/tourer bike also which covers the long distances type rides. Best wishes to you all no matter what you choose
times and tastes change, but I still can't get used to paying for a new bike when it looks like it hasn't been painted yet... Glad to hear that it's popular though. only good can come from that...
I'm only hesitating buying this as since you guys made this review, BMW have announced their cruiser is coming. The ONLY downside with the BB is the low range fuel tank. I'm in Oz so another 4 litres/gallon would be handy. Aesthetically though this looks bloody awesome.👍🏻😎
Yeah would LOVE to even ride it once, but its not a bike i would like to have as a primary one, because its just a niche-bike, which cant do anything good but look good :D Would be the perfect second or third bike for me.
Don't really understand how it's not acceptable as a primary bike? Depends on what the rider wants... If you're not looking to tour or take a pillion could be perfect for anyone. How is it any less practical than any other single seat cruiser?
The Bobber nudges out the Indian Scout, in Britain , shocking ! Test rode both along with a few others, both nice bikes. I bought the Indian Scout because it was a much smoother ride and definitely quicker. The Bobber felt more like a Harley 883 Sporster on steroids but definitely a better bike than the Sporty in my opinion.
Great review, now that I know which one is the traditional take vs. the modern take of the Bobber. How's the ground clearance, is it easy to scrape the pegs while cornering hard?
Why would i want to watch 2 guys sit in chairs and talk about the bike. A bit more riding and high quality motorcycle video for background and less 2 guys in chairs and press photos, please.
Are they still going to offer the 19" wheeled version or is the bobber black the only option now? I like the 19" traditional style and hope to buy one this year.
Matte paint Tis actually more time intensive. It can’t have anything like a hint of a run or a change in thickness or it’s glaringly evident as opposed to gloss where reflective quality might hide a difference of a few microns thickness
I am glad that they have improved the front brake on the bobber black, as the org bobber is outright dangerous with the underwhelming brakes, and I hope that they have done something so that it will not snake around when you are feeling frisky on b-roads.
So triumph hits a home run because they put together something the customers want “ fastest selling so far and selling out” and then proceed to start changing the styling etc... why ? WTF.. not refining, improving reliability, better materials...or making changes the customers want.. nope just changing it because... who are they changing it for.. the customers indicated what they wanted and bought the bike. But the design department is going to change it customer demand be dammed ! Took gm forty years to figure out customers wanted reliable v8 engines and not bigger coffee cup holders. So they start producing sport cars with v8s and customers buy them... improve brakes and handling better still...genius
M Stoker I’m talking about the one that says bobber. Just as gay as that guy that puts a huge “FORD” sticker all the way acrossed the windshield of his ford truck...like, we get it bro you’re driving a ford.
I see what you're saying perhaps not as much real estate as the giant Ford sicker, but still easily removable with a heat gun. I mean with any bike that would be the very least of the modifications I would do.
nice looking bike, but if built quality and reliability is same as other triumphs, i would pass it, having owned two triumphs in the past, very disapointing, not to mention the cost of parts. Japanese for me all the way.
It's a beautiful bike but Triumph, annoyingly, must be smoking the funny stuff. Why on earth would you put cruise control on this, a bike very few will ever go touring on, and fail to put CC on the new street triple. I'm sick of them putting cruise control on all the bikes that don't need or I'm not interested in! Sort your game out Triumph !
Orry Terrington. I rode an MT10 with cruise. Found it was really good when entering and going through villages setting it to 30, allows your eyes off the Speedo and up onto the road. Quite like cruise. Have you ever tried it?
cutting off the swing arm suspension and replacing it with a hardtail would make this a chopper not a bobber , all be it a pretend hard tail with almost no travel , it depresses me that so many people think this is cool , this is the motorcycle equivilant of ripping your own jeans , why not glue on some fake stubble and stick on some fake tatoos to complete the look ,
Only for small guy,s seat is shite lokks like it,s been glued on, underpowered in today,s game.A bike for the trendy beard types,oh wait a minute i have a beard but alas i am not trendy enough.
Such a gorgeous bit of design. Captures enough retro but still looks modern.
Bought one. Don’t ever see any others on the road. Super rare
... i installed oem rear pegs on my bobber black matte and a removable pillion seat... works like a charm... cheers guys...
Does the pillion seat require a bolt on subframe adjustment?
... depends... mine mounts straight to the fender... a little mod and or stock... i switched to a fender rack... now I can put it on and take it off as well as strap on a bag or two...
Yay 16" front wheel. Now I can finally get some new tyres for the front of my old Fireblade. 😎 Seriously though, the Bobber Black looks really good.
i thought Harley were unique but man, that Triumph Bonneville Bobber black and the Indian Scout bobber are just awesome.

I'd prefer to see a review whilst on the bike! 2 blokes sitting at a table with a newspaper just ain't it I'm afraid!
Got mine with a factory custom matte green paint 🔥🔥
Factory custom sounds like an oxymoron to me
@@crewe99 you are an oxymoron to me
Hows the journey??
i mean it's beautiful!!! 19year old chap who is actually a naked/sportsbike guy
Liking the new format. Beautiful photography too.

Dream bike rn

I love in a city so I'd love to just roam the streets on this on the daily commute
848 streetfighter

Yea, it really is a sharp looking bike. No wonder they sold out of them!
So beautiful

ram1 a change is as good as a rest my man. There are many videos catering to that. Why do you insist on more of the same.
Waiting for ducati v4 review.
I really like it
Are they still going to offer the 19" wheeled version or is the bobber black the only option now? I like the 19" traditional style and hope to buy one this year.
Yeah they’ll continue to sell both, just like the t120 and t120 black
Matte paint Tis actually more time intensive. It can’t have anything like a hint of a run or a change in thickness or it’s glaringly evident as opposed to gloss where reflective quality might hide a difference of a few microns thickness
Whats the name of the song at the beginning?
So you're saying that the TBB is better than the ISB?
I am glad that they have improved the front brake on the bobber black, as the org bobber is outright dangerous with the underwhelming brakes, and I hope that they have done something so that it will not snake around when you are feeling frisky on b-roads.
When will you be ridding the new Ducati 1100 scrambler?
I dont have money to buy motorcycle like this...hi somebody, send me a triumph bobber please...😁
If you take a shot every time someone says the word "bobber", you will die.
What do you think about this for a first bike?
This bike is pretty uncomfortable to ride, so you may not be happy with it. I would go with a bonneville.
He doesn't say "Bobber" nearly enough.
what is the music at the beginning?
It looks great but i would never give up my Storm. Even if i bought one i think i would walk past it in the garage and jump on the Storm
So its not Harley 48 rival?
I guess it's in between the 48 and eg softail slim.
can these dual brakes be added to the original bobber?
Hey There you would need the Black edition forks I’d think

big 'ol Fat slow handling front end. Great idea guys. . 🍋🍋
I have a bobber black a 1998 fireblade, both of my bikes have a 16" front wheel. I think I might have s fetish for 16" front wheels. 🙄
Is the tank the same size as the 2017
The English people like the Triumph...what a shock.
God, there’s a lot of jabber here. More neevesey, more riding, more engine sound. Thanks!
Those stickers on the bike... cheap.
tom rebel thought the same fuckin thing. I’m like “ I would just peel those right off for sure...”
I think it's kind of a given that everyone takes the stock warning label stickers off virtually every new bike...
M Stoker I’m talking about the one that says bobber. Just as gay as that guy that puts a huge “FORD” sticker all the way acrossed the windshield of his ford truck...like, we get it bro you’re driving a ford.

Yup, I'd be whipping them off too. No-one who built their own bobbers back in the days, ever painted 'bobber' across the tank or side panels.
wtf. i switched em off
more talk and less nike ! hate it..
nikhil kamal a change is as good as a rest my man. There are many videos catering to that. Why do you insist on more of the same.
Really needs a luggage rack
How do you get a woman on the back?
RYTHMIC RIOT Buy her her own bike
Needs Cast Wheels, cause getting a Flat with spokes, is Bullshit,,,and Flats Happen people....I fucking Hate Spokes !!
Lovely looking bike, but don't expect dealership/warranty support. As soon as you buy one, all they want to do is sell you another.... Buy a Harley!
I wish someone would compare this to the roadster
looks like a toy.For $$ Triumph is asking you can buy lot better bikes with lot more power and fun factor.
Fun factor doesn't need a ton of power.
nice looking bike, but if built quality and reliability is same as other triumphs, i would pass it, having owned two triumphs in the past, very disapointing, not to mention the cost of parts. Japanese for me all the way.
Boring.... more bike, more revs. Less crap talk

Don’t use it..............simples
ZRX 1100 or Z900RS better looking
You don’t have to lie to kick it Bob
Shut up and ride the bike....I'm bailing
Way to make a video boring lol

78.2FT-lbs (106Nm) @ 4,000rpm
Exactley .
there's always one...lame hipster quips are sooo 2017 mate. you're a bit late.
Than never.
??? do you need a loan to buy some more words? :p
A bike for people that wear Sons of Anarchy t shirts. 😅
... But it's not a Harley??????
I don’t recall seeing one Bobber on the show. And it’s not a Harley. You suck at UA-cam comments.
