I beat this chalice dungeon, but what the hell was FROM SOFTWARE thinking? These bosses could easily wipe the floor with you with your regular HP, but to cut it in half and make you play the game perfect like a god? They completely dropped the ball with this. This dungeon removes fun and challenge and replaces it with annoyance and salt from getting cheaply killed by a move with a huge hitbox that you dodged (especially Watch Dog)..
Can you imagine how much worst it could have been had the gate reset it self each and every time you died? Or if you had to go and find the switch again if you had to leave to farm/buy more Blood Vials? I feel like that's partly why they made this Chalice so difficult because the boss arena is usually just one room from the Lantern with very little standing in your way. Regardless, I can see why only 7.2 percent of players have ever gotten the platinum trophy in this game. Defeating all of the bosses in the base game is already a tremendous feat since there are creatures like Martyar Lorgarious and Ebritis: Daughter of the Cosmos waiting for the player, not to mention getting all of the weapons. But to add on top you have to go through these series of Chalices that is a rather daunting task given their vague/obtuse nature. A part of me enjoys running the Static Dugone Chalices since they are a fixed progression selected by the developers, but this one Chalice? Eh.
Well, on the bright side (/s), you don't need to worry about blood vials if you can't use them at all! of course, that doesn't mean you don't gotta pay upfront hundreds of thousands of echoes on papers and any other of that shit you use on your failed attempts.
NormalNormy One of God of War's composer, Cris Velasco, did some tracks for the game. But other composers of the soundtrack seemed to take inspiration in the GoW musical compositions.
@Adriel V for watchdog the biggest enemy is impatience. Don't lock on, and run around him, getting a swipe or two here and there. It'll take a long time, but that's the safest way to do it.

Watchdog on this chalice dungeon gave me a legit meltdown. I thought the game was fucking with me because he just kept coming up with new and exciting ways to one shot me. Finally beat him after like 20 times probably. I'll take orphan of kos on ng+7 before I do this shit again.
I found a really simple way to deal with Amygdala, but you need something like 75 Arcane (because that's what I had) and the Old Hunter DLC. With that much arcane value your Blacksky Eye is going to deal 500+ damage when you hit the head of Amygdala, and all you are going to do is getting blood bullets (5 bullets = 2500+ dmg), heal yourself and try to get 5 headshot with your Blacksky Eye. You can land one, two or three headshots after some attack, you'll get it when you try it. You are going even to stagger it 2 times using this tactics, giving space for 2 visceral attacks (after each visceral I could land an L2 using the Burial Blade, 2handed version, capping at more than 3k damage for visceral). Is easier done than said, if you have an arcane build you should try this out. You are gonna end it in 5~ blood vials, just keep your distance and continue to move left or right and use you Blacksky to punish his attacks. I advice you to fight it solo, is easier to land the headshots.
For anyone struggling with the amygdala, run behind him and bait the jump attack and stand still (he won't hit u) then smack him in the head and repeat.
i'm a little late but this guy deserves an award or a medal.... damn I was stuck at this boss for 6 hours and a whole lot of cursing. Then you made it look like it's so easy... *clap* *clap* *clap*
This place sucked balls, got my plat a few years ago, but that algorithm brought me back here. To those badass people slugging their way through this shithole, I salute you.
If you're having trouble with the first guy I JUST FOUND THE PERFECT STRATEGY. Keeper of the old lords will get rekt. Use the auger of ebrietas and a quick weapon like blades of mercy or rakuyo. Step one: Lure him into a corner and back away a little, then after he tries to hit push full force so he's back against the wall. Step 2: smack him until you're out of stamina and then use auger at the end of your combo, he'll get either stunned for a visceral or knocked on the ground. This gives your stamina time to fill. Step 3: Rinse and repeat. He should die in under a minute.
I just got her in a visceral cycle. Get the first visceral, re-lock on to her while doing the visceral... just as she stands up, shoot again. She swings almost everytime as soon as she gets up. Gets the visceral again, repeat. The only problem I had was either messing up the timing... or once she floated up and got stuck in the ceiling and i couldnt hit her anymore.
you can also hit him once or twice to bait out an attack, then shoot/parry him instantly. but if he is too close to a wall it is safer to back away and repeat
The first boss is really easy, if you use beast claw and when you don't have more stamina you use beast roar and when te boss is down you regenerate your stamina. When he stands up you repeat te process. I hope it helped you. Good video, you've gol a new subscriber.
I died a few times to this guy, mostly due to that fire ball hand attack of his since it can nearly one-shot anyone who doesn't have full HP. He was difficult, but I managed to put him down after a few tries. The Watch Dog while challenging is still manageable, especially if you have the NPC co-op partner to help... but then you have Amygdala. The real guardian of the platinum trophy. I fell to her countless times. Going through at least 80-100 blood vials and ten different co-op partners before summoning someone who really made a difference for me.
I've been following your trophy guide on playstation trophies. It's a seriously excellent guide and has made the process of getting platinum so much easier to understand. So, thx for all your hard work. :^) I'm currently on the ailing Loran step, but I just wanted to see what I'm signing up for in the defiled dungeon. w/ the strategies in this vid I'm a mite bit less scared. Haha.
How on earth are you taking so little damage against Amygdala? It hits me for half my health then finishes me of with the 2nd and 3rd hit, I hate this boss so much!
Nathan Taylor What is your vitality? The second boss is arguably the most difficult in the game so it is to be expected. Are you on it or a different one?
Am i the only one who thinks that some of these dungeon bosses are harder than the main ones? Like father Gascoigne i beat him first try, but got my ass kicked by the undead giant( the one with the balls on his back)
A tip for keeper of the old lords I found an easy way to cheese him if you get close to him and shoot him he’ll follow up with a sword swing where you immediately shoot him again and go for the visceral and then you can doge towards him and get two easy hits in but you have to doddle away immediately then repeat when he gets his flame sword you’ll get hit by the fire in his sword swing but you should get the health back from the visceral
Keeper of old lords is also fairly weak to poison knives, he dodges them well but just two will poison him and can knock away significant portions of health while you stay safe and attack when he’s open. But he has so little poise almost any attack will interrupt his
Nah he's causing me serious issues. I never invested into vitality much so now I'm just getting 1hko'd by everything in this dungeon. As long as I'm careful you can get through the dungeon but it's pretty hard to go through an entire boss fight without getting hit, especially since I'm not doing nearly as much damage as the guy in this video. Something about the Keepers double tap attack gets me every time. If I wasn't already this far into the Chalice Dungeons I'd probably give up.
Goldenkitten1 but that only means the other bosses will affect you more cuz they are stronger. The only reason he was messing me up is cuz of that little explosion he does that one hit kills you, sometime he does it almost instantly after you attack him like 3 times and i didnt really now how to dodge his fire attacks. The other bosses can be learned quite easily to be honest.
MrAvalon Valvatore Honestly I had no issues with Watchdog who I killed on my first go and though I'm working on Amygdala I've almost killed it twice. Compare this to the Keeper who had me stuck for a solid hour over a dozen or more attempts and neither of them is nearly as imposing. I don't think difficulty in a game like this is as easy to monitor as "These come later so they'll be harder", it really boils down to personal style.
Yup it all comes down to how u play. Thats why in my first playthrough vicar amelia gave me so much trouble and then i saw most people had a really easy time defeating her o.O
+MrAvalon Valvatore I visceral attacked the hell out of the keeper. its kind of hard to tell between her little hadoken move (little forward fireball followed by a sword strike that will kill) and her sword strikes, but i just used the blunderbuss and blasted her everytime she ran in at me and raised her arm. This is after about 10-15 tries doing everything else lol. I only used about 3 or 4 blood vials and that was to heal from using blood bullets. patience and the blunderbuss worked wonders for me.
Finally beat the watch dog tonight...The watch dog made me stop playing bloodborne for months. Getting 1 shotted by the jump attack drove me almost insane. Now on to amygdala
Winson Thanks :). I noticed a pattern with side stepping where the camera behaves differently (stops following the same way) if the enemy is mid attack. The moment he starts to attack and I'm out of its attack radius I begin charging my attack. It's a great opener.
Was stuck on this boss until I finally beat him a couple days ago, tried to do the same move as he always dives at the beginning but never could do it correctly as he always just dodges it on time to prepare for his next move =S!
Yup, you have to begin the charge attack before he actually starts running AND be within range. It's honestly not necessary I just liked doing it. Probably shouldn't have put it in the video and encourage people to get ran into lol.
I love Bloodborne but these dungeons are the trash from FromSoftware. I guarantee all the shit that was cut from the game they just put into these shitty and boring dungeons. The intricate level design of the main game is no where to be seen and the thought out placement of mobs and the design of bosses does not exist in this shit. They reuse the same bosses in different locales and just sprinkle some bullshit on them to make them worse. I am only fucking playing these dungeon to kill Yharnam and get the trophy but once I am done I will never see them again. And again I love the game and Hidetaka Miyazaki is a magnificent genius and FromSoftware are fantastic developers but these dungeons are so subpar to FromSoftware's standard.
Deadass. This is an amazing game but these dungeons give me headaces. They are the same layout with different mobs and it gets so boring trying to get this damn platnum trophy
I agree. Honestly they could've been completely cut from the game and it would have improved it enormously. They are so dull and tedious and add nothing to gameplay or story.
Some tips for the Keeper that I found out beating him (I just beated him, I will update everytime I defeat another boss, and yeah, perhaps I'm doing it too late, anyways, sorry for my bad english) 1 - Use your best set against fire. 2 - Parry on the first phase. Every single attack of him is 'parryable', so yeah, you can take more than half of his hp just parrying. On the second phase I *GUESS* that the only attack that you can parry is the one he slashes the ground with his sword. 3 (the best one) - If it's possible, use the Whirgilig saw, or whoever it's pronounced, hold the L2 and watch your stamina, he will be stunned forever (or most of the time) even in the second phase, when your stamina is almost running out, just dodge, he has two variables that I discovered for this type of tactic, or he will use his sword, or he will punch the ground with flames, none of them hitkilled me, so just heal yourself. The first tip will help you massively on this one. And, as always, have a good hunt! A hoonter must hoont
@@salamander4937, yeh, just got the platinum a few weeks ago, this flame furry was fucking annoying, I really recommend calling a friend. My way to beat him easily was basicaly hitting his face 'til his "head shield" break, then he will take a lot of damage. But it's kinda risky, cuz he keep hitkilling with every hit.
2019. If anyone is still playing BB.. :) :) I just beat the watchdog, that bugger :) What I was doing: Learn the moves, dodge and hit the right time. Bait for the head attack. hit until it recovers. 2nd and 3rd phase, bait for the snap head attack. Only hit after the snap head is on your left. Weapon: hunter axe +10. because of the range, and R2. When it womits lava: if you're close enough you still can land like 3 x R2 attacks, or one charged R2.
I'm starting this dungeon right now. And I've already died to the smaller enemies a couple of times. How am I ever gonna beat any of these bosses ffs. Edit- Beat it in 2 days XD.
I know a better cheese for the first one, if you get close to her and shoot her she always responds with the stack where she walks backwards, so if you shooting her twice then it's garenteed parrys
That Amygdala boss is the most ridiculous thing ever. I beat the first two bosses in 20 minutes and have spent the last 5 hours straight trying to kill Amygdala, without success. I'm seriously starting to give up on that platinum trophy and this game alltogether.
really wish guides would show just a second or two, what your current stats are. sure the tactic is helpful but we all have different playstyles and many of us used the Rock on a different weap that we use more, like I bumped the Toni thinking it was smart, but I use Reit and Toni so I never get the same reach as the Axe or Ludwig. =( so some of this is very dangerous to try using those movesets. Seeing numbers really helps to know if I should go grind some so I can survive a mistake or anything along those lines.
+Zubin HV Sorry about not showing the stats. I actually did that in several of my boss kill videos, but it was in response to people requesting it. Unfortunately I had recorded/uploaded most of this stuff without doing so. Best of luck with your clears.
no real biggie, just hoping to find someone who did this with the Reit, I can see how Jump-stab works but on the Reit but it just pushes her/it back out of my R1's reach so it doesnt really work as an opener, Only method that I can "do dmg" with is if I side-dodge her forward atk, just to behind/beside her if lucky, I can sometimes get in a hit, but sometimes It dodges too far and again out-of-reach issue, going to be a a long fight if its just one hit every few seconds because I need to bait her forward atk. Thanks for the vid hopefully it helps anyone that took the advice on the wiki about the Axe being the "best" weapon in the game(could be wrong, advice may be from GFAQS sticky)
Abhorrent beast is too much bullshit. I just started NG+, went to the Forbidden woods, got the tonsil stone, and let Amygdala grab me and put me in the lecture building where the red jelly is found. Also I am still trying to beat this fucker in the Defiled dungeon, his hitbox is so fucking stupid, I would like to add that if you find yourself getting too close to the wall just start dodging in the opposite direction because he will just stun lock you in the corner and kill you instantly
Edward Elric you can chesse abhorrent beast via poison knifes it take 2 to poison him but you will have to hit him a few times like cause 2300 damage. because i used 18 of those knifes
I know I'm a bit late is this possible with the SAW cleaver? I see that you are using long range weapons. Should I grind for another weapon? (Especially for Amygdala)
My strategy for amygdala: (keeping in mind i usually run casters thus its an arcane strategy) in nightmare frontier 20+ arcane and a good spam cast of executioners gloves or blacksky eye will usually destroy it on NG. HOWEVER in defiled it has at least 5000 hp (which doesnt seem to increase with coops unless they fixed it) so i used the burial blade (was skill arcane build, again i usually play casters and this boss is weak to arcane) to whittle it down to its final phase Then spam casted Was close but it worked The planets aligned and the moon shone perfectly lol
aguering Sure. I'll post videos of all of Ailing Loran and the first two bosses of Ihyll while I'm at it. Just finishing up making videos of the full Alfred and Eileen quest chains right now.
For the Keeper and Amygdala I wore the Hunter Set. You can find it really early in the game and I have a video showing how to do it here: ua-cam.com/video/ndleKuPHbE4/v-deo.html For the Watchdog I wore the Bone Ash set. You can purchase it from the Insight Vendor for 10 Insight after defeating the second boss in the Central Pthumeru Chalice. It has really good fire resistance which is perfect for the Watchdog.
was this the only way to make this chalice dungeon difficult? by cutting your health in half where enemies can very easily kill you in one shot?! all the other dungeons were fine WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? i don't normally do this looking up ways to cheese the bosses but this is the exception fuck this chalice dungeon also thank you for giving us this video :)
Nice video, now im at first boss, im at level 111 and this is my first run, i wanna beat the pthumerian queen... Do you think that i have to level up to level 120/125 or just go straight? I really want to finish the chalises and enjoy the endings 😃
I actually didn't find this dungeon to be too hard, first and second boss died three times to greed then beat it. Third boss took some work like a hour or two and bam it was down.
Is there really a need to beat this dungeon? I just want to fight and beat the yharnam queen for the platinum.. Is this dungeon necessary or can I just do the Isz dungeon? Answer ASAP please :)

@@Daniel11478 Amygdala was actually pretty easy for me i got her in like 3rd-4th try Heres my tip for now stay near wall and keep rotating to your left and attack her hand when she tries to attack you(most of the time you will just space her attack but sometimes youll have to dodge it) And the rest is all about patience and memorising comboes

Do all the main Pthumeru dungeons. Don't worry about the root dungeons. When you get the lower Pthumeru dungeon, beat it all the way and you will get the Defiled chalice.
i dont want to diminish your efforts but you just got lucky on the last two. there s well defined strategies for both bosses with baiting certain moves which give you the most chances to defeat them. you should do a video on that, that would help others. this is just random luck.
+tibicarlos Random? Lucky? I was one of the first people to even clear these bosses. If it wasn't for creating dozens and dozens of videos-as well a 300k character text guide that is linked in the description-I would've most likely been near the top. That's even with other people getting early release copies. By all means, dislike the methods I show and do not use them, if that's what you prefer. But to call them "random luck" is just a clear misunderstanding of what either of the words mean. I'm sure there are more reliable methods for defeating these bosses. I won't dispute that for a second, considering it has been almost a year since the game released and this video was posted. I put out these VERY EARLY clips to help complement my trophy guide, because there were no better alternatives at the time. I didn't release another version because this more than suffice.
+F8L Fool as i was saying i dont want to diminish your efforts but this video is by no means a guide in my perspective. do a commentary, explain stuff, show strats. these things help the community. thats how is see it ar least. cheers
+tibicarlos now to also be fair i have checked out the written guide you made and it seems to be well made and complete. chuck full'o info. so kudos on that. that i consider very helpful.
Hey man! I'm having diff with the doggie. I'm lvl 144 with 53 vit, 50 endurance and 50 str. I also have 2 HP runes(+5 and +15) and the rune from the crow. I even tried to use the memory bug but nothong changed. His pattern is the same...
Hi man. I have just started playing this again and I am going to attempt to get the platinum. The route to the Queen is doing my head in, I an getting REALLY confused. Could you point me in the right direction please? I am up to level 4 in Lower Pthumerian ATM
Yeah, it was awesome.... but I asked because I saw the "parry-able" stance in the amygdala when you first broke its arm so it got me thinking. Thanks for answering
dondiwhite1 I have +18%, +15%, and +22% gems. The numbers to the right of a gem are just the tier/type of it, as in what you can expect it to do. The one that matters is the one underneath it that signifies its "rating". I have two 15's and a 19 on. As for my stats I have 49 STR and 36 skill. I'm also using the Ludwig's Holy Blade which scales really well with both stats. I used the Hunter's Axe for 99.95% of the game because it is better all around, IMO, but for this fight nothing compares to the Ludwig's. Also, a safer but slower method is hit him at 100% max range in the face using Ludwig's 2H form and R1 after each head swing. If you always back up after the first hit you will never, and I mean ever, get hit by anything. It will take longer but it is the safest method. That and/or only attack him when he is spewing lava on the ground. Boring and long, but safest for sure.
F8L Fool I was just wondering how you were getting 800 R1 swings but I found out he his front legs(both?) are his weak points and I'm getting similar numbers now. I have a 22.5%,a 15 and a 14%+attack up 5 and seeing good numbers now. Thanks for the info.

Or get simon's bowblade.
For anyone struggling with the amygdala, run behind him and bait the jump attack and stand still (he won't hit u) then smack him in the head and repeat.

MansterBear that happened to me lmao except she was one shot and I got a quick swipe on her
you can also hit him once or twice to bait out an attack, then shoot/parry him instantly. but if he is too close to a wall it is safer to back away and repeat
Yeah I summoned someone to help and they had the same tactic buy died before we killed him so I copied it the next time and managed to do it.
Dracotheghost 45 bloodtinge, bone marrow ash, +10 Evelyn spam, gg
I've been following your trophy guide on playstation trophies. It's a seriously excellent guide and has made the process of getting platinum so much easier to understand. So, thx for all your hard work. :^) I'm currently on the ailing Loran step, but I just wanted to see what I'm signing up for in the defiled dungeon. w/ the strategies in this vid I'm a mite bit less scared. Haha.
How on earth are you taking so little damage against Amygdala? It hits me for half my health then finishes me of with the 2nd and 3rd hit, I hate this boss so much!
Half of your health? I am dying in one hit
You guys got to the boss?
@@kfd784 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i feel you man
Just finish beating the three bosses yesterday. Took a lot of dying and patient for me to beat them. Good job on the video and victory F8
Link n connect Congrats and thanks for watching.
For burial blade stars is just parry her nonstop with 50 skill
1. Parry her
2. Land ONE attack untransformed
3. Repeat
(Useful to use Evelyn)
parry, two hits, parry again felt better for me imo, unless she was too close to a wall
This is the final trophy I need for the platinum
Did ya get it?
I am level 162 and still having a ton of trouble with this chalice.
Nathan Taylor What is your vitality? The second boss is arguably the most difficult in the game so it is to be expected. Are you on it or a different one?
Nathan Taylor Want to coop i am stuck here as well
Jordan Oboyle u still on watchdog? im there now getting my ass handed to me if you wanna coop
Amateurs I’m 367 and getting my shit handed to me 🥳
You're a life saver dude lol I couldn't beat Amygdala for the life of me
Am i the only one who thinks that some of these dungeon bosses are harder than the main ones? Like father Gascoigne i beat him first try, but got my ass kicked by the undead giant( the one with the balls on his back)
A tip for keeper of the old lords
I found an easy way to cheese him if you get close to him and shoot him he’ll follow up with a sword swing where you immediately shoot him again and go for the visceral and then you can doge towards him and get two easy hits in but you have to doddle away immediately then repeat
when he gets his flame sword you’ll get hit by the fire in his sword swing but you should get the health back from the visceral
for anyone playing in 2016 this boss wears the bone ash set, which has good fire resistance.Bolt or Arcane buff on the weapon is more effective.
The Charred Hunter Set from old Yharnam works even better.
Keeper of old lords is also fairly weak to poison knives, he dodges them well but just two will poison him and can knock away significant portions of health while you stay safe and attack when he’s open. But he has so little poise almost any attack will interrupt his
the defiled chalice dungeon is insane. I just can't beat the second boss
LMAO am i really the only one that had the most trouble with keeper of the old lords????? im so done. XDDDD
Just finished amygdala what a fight !
I swear, I was one combo away from beating the keeper of the old lords and he one hits me from the brick walls. So bs
Use auger of ebrietas on him. He becomes a total pushover
Finally beat the watch dog tonight...The watch dog made me stop playing bloodborne for months. Getting 1 shotted by the jump attack drove me almost insane. Now on to amygdala
Good job. The Watchdog is the hardest boss in the game for a lot of people.
F8L Fool thanks! it was the hardest boss in soulsborne for me 😂
im suffering there, its just headbutt me and im dead from full hp
Z dmon that attack is very deadly. Just get 1 or 2 hits on him and back off. Also helps if you can summon help before the fight
amygdala is kicking my butt beautifully, i'm not looking for help, just stating the obvious. maaaaaaan everything was good till i saw amygdala
why would you use fire paper on the guy who uses fire. His armor greatly resists it
lol the hell, that first move against Watchdog of the Old Lords was so sick xD!
F8L Fool i used it. its awesome opener
Fromsoft just really dropped the ball with this chalice. Half of your HP gone? Who thought of that?
The entire chalice dungeons were a dropped ball
Some tips for the Keeper that I found out beating him (I just beated him, I will update everytime I defeat another boss, and yeah, perhaps I'm doing it too late, anyways, sorry for my bad english)
1 - Use your best set against fire.
A hoonter must hoont
ayy another 2021 bloodborne player I’m stuck on the watchdog rn
@@salamander4937, yeh, just got the platinum a few weeks ago, this flame furry was fucking annoying, I really recommend calling a friend. My way to beat him easily was basicaly hitting his face 'til his "head shield" break, then he will take a lot of damage. But it's kinda risky, cuz he keep hitkilling with every hit.
2019. If anyone is still playing BB.. :) :)
I just beat the watchdog, that bugger :)
What I was doing:
Learn the moves, dodge and hit the right time.
Hey any chance you could help me out?
NoobSaiBott_
Thanks for the info on how to unlock that last chalice. I was lost.
I'm starting this dungeon right now. And I've already died to the smaller enemies a couple of times. How am I ever gonna beat any of these bosses ffs.
Edit- Beat it in 2 days XD.
I love all there is in Bloodborne, except this feature, this is a complete opposite of what I feel about Bloodborne
I killed Amygdala in the first try and I still surprised
I know a better cheese for the first one, if you get close to her and shoot her she always responds with the stack where she walks backwards, so if you shooting her twice then it's garenteed parrys
Just beat Keeper of the Old Lords lvl 80 for the 1st time.
Amazing game.
It's been a wonderful time.
a good game to wait for elden ring
keeper of the old lords is easy if you are good at anticipating him coming in for melee attack and using R2 charge with the axe.
That Amygdala boss is the most ridiculous thing ever. I beat the first two bosses in 20 minutes and have spent the last 5 hours straight trying to kill Amygdala, without success. I'm seriously starting to give up on that platinum trophy and this game alltogether.
Thanks for the video! 1 st boss is a cake walk by just jumping forward smash and back off tactic
I much rather get ganked by OOK, Malenia and Gael than go down to this sad excuse of a chalice
Nicely done fool I'll be using these for sure.
really wish guides would show just a second or two, what your current stats are. sure the tactic is helpful but we all have different playstyles and many of us used the Rock on a different weap that we use more, like I bumped the Toni thinking it was smart, but I use Reit and Toni so I never get the same reach as the Axe or Ludwig.
What level/stats distribution did you had when dealing with this dungeon?
Now Im only doing this dungeon for the trophy.Done all builds possible. After this hello new games and more friendly ones😆
I genuinely believe that this is the ONLY trophy in Bloodborne I will not acquire. Unfortunately for me it doesn't look like I'll platinum it. :'(
GrayGamingPS4 You can do it in co-op which makes it exponentially easier. Don't give up :).
I haven't even tried it yet haha. I just don't think I'm good enough for this.
Same for me, I can't seem to find cooperators either :P
Why you using fire paper on Keeper? He uses the best set for fire protection :|
What level were you during these fights, what runes are you using, what gems are you using with your weapon?
I know I'm a bit late is this possible with the SAW cleaver? I see that you are using long range weapons. Should I grind for another weapon? (Especially for Amygdala)
My strategy for amygdala: (keeping in mind i usually run casters thus its an arcane strategy) in nightmare frontier 20+ arcane and a good spam cast of executioners gloves or blacksky eye will usually destroy it on NG. HOWEVER in defiled it has at least 5000 hp (which doesnt seem to increase with coops unless they fixed it) so i used the burial blade (was skill arcane build, again i usually play casters and this boss is weak to arcane) to whittle it down to its final phase
Then spam casted
Was close but it worked
The planets aligned and the moon shone perfectly lol
O ya this was not first try
More like 12th lol
Great job, I'm currently on that boss and not been able to beat him :(
Don't like the fact i have to re fight amydgala again once I killed him, from the nightmare
Amydala has numerous clones.
+PlayingwithSteve They're all over the buildings..bit in your defence I dunnO why both of them rip off their arms? was cool at first but....
I've seen your post in PSN Thropies forums .. you think you can make a video on Abhorrent Beast ? (Loran Layer 3)
aguering Sure. I'll post videos of all of Ailing Loran and the first two bosses of Ihyll while I'm at it. Just finishing up making videos of the full Alfred and Eileen quest chains right now.
F8L Fool cool man, looking forward to it .. thanks a lot
Hey what armor were you using during the vid?
For the Keeper and Amygdala I wore the Hunter Set. You can find it really early in the game and I have a video showing how to do it here: ua-cam.com/video/ndleKuPHbE4/v-deo.html
For the Watchdog I wore the Bone Ash set. You can purchase it from the Insight Vendor for 10 Insight after defeating the second boss in the Central Pthumeru Chalice. It has really good fire resistance which is perfect for the Watchdog.
Fluffy is giving me issues
+x Tuma Eeyore
*Faces a hunter that specializes in fire*
*uses fire paper to fight fire*
was this the only way to make this chalice dungeon difficult? by cutting your health in half where enemies can very easily kill you in one shot?! all the other dungeons were fine WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? i don't normally do this looking up ways to cheese the bosses but this is the exception fuck this chalice dungeon also thank you for giving us this video :)
Hey man, glad to see someone's still playing bloodborne. You on the ps4? My psn: SOL_AC
Oh God, Dung Eater! What are you doing to that chalice!?
Nice video, now im at first boss, im at level 111 and this is my first run, i wanna beat the pthumerian queen... Do you think that i have to level up to level 120/125 or just go straight? I really want to finish the chalises and enjoy the endings 😃
Mirco Monfa 111 is plenty high enough to clear all of the chalices. Just make sure you have high Vitality for the Defiled Chalice.
Thanks a lot for the tip, you have a new subscriber 😀
F8L Fool how high should the vit stat be, mine is 71 is that good enough.
I actually didn't find this dungeon to be too hard, first and second boss died three times to greed then beat it. Third boss took some work like a hour or two and bam it was down.
I did watchdog first... now I'm on keeper
Is this the cursed defiend chalice?
this was cool if there was no trophy attached to it
this was supposed to be optional not forced for platinum
Is there really a need to beat this dungeon? I just want to fight and beat the yharnam queen for the platinum.. Is this dungeon necessary or can I just do the Isz dungeon? Answer ASAP please :)
+Erick Mejia Have to beat it to reach the queen.
+F8L Fool Why? What do I get from it? And Thanks for replying
You get the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice that lets you enter the Queen's dungeon.
+F8L Fool So I don't have to do the isz dungeon? Or yes?
Go to the guide in the description. Second page is a tutorial for how to reach it. Just follow the instructions.
Dude what even is this chalice, half your hp so enemies one shot you and on top of that, some of the hardest bosses in the entire game
I just got here this place is a nightmare
Let me tell you of the solution to this dungeon; Simons bowblade
Man, Amygdala is so irritating. Soon I'll get to Yharnam though
Can anyone help me kill watchdog cuz I love this game and wanna keep playing it but watchdog doesn’t agree on this
Yo if you’re still stuck I’ll give you a hand. I need some help myself so we can help each other.. my psn is zxGhost1

@@Daniel11478 Amygdala was actually pretty easy for me i got her in like 3rd-4th try
Heres my tip for now stay near wall and keep rotating to your left and attack her hand when she tries to attack you(most of the time you will just space her attack but sometimes youll have to dodge it) And the rest is all about patience and memorising comboes
@@justsomeguywithnaturallywa3466 I ran through her with my bt build using the bowblade, but I’m doing a lady Maria cosplay so the rakuyo isn’t great against her. Thanks for tips tho appreciate it
So boost my vit , skl, end , and bloodtinge to max for this , also +10 my pistol with blood rock from insight store , cool
How the hell do you even get in that dungeon. All I need is queen kill and I get plantinum. Yet I'm just running around random dungeons
+sean murray Click on the link in the description and go down to the Pthumerian Queen trophy. The entire process is written out.
Luffy_Uchiha psn? ill help you out w/ it
Hi man. I have just started playing this again and I am going to attempt to get the platinum. The route to the Queen is doing my head in, I an getting REALLY confused. Could you point me in the right direction please? I am up to level 4 in Lower Pthumerian ATM
If you need some help feel free to add me on psn, maybe we can help each other
Francesca Di Lauria I would like to try them solo first but thanks anyways. Still be sure to add me to play Bloodborne. My PSN is xGray99 :)
Watch dog is hardest of them all, i had no problems with amygdala or that first boss... it took over 6 hours to beat that dog shit...
Watch dog on my first try, first boss was like 6 tries and amydala still havent beaten
stuck at the first one.. anybody who wants to co-op?
i stuck at the third one 😭
can we play together ??
i- Resco yeah sure add me on psn Lucarizzu i hate this chalice..
Luca Rizzuto me ....micdoses1 thats my psn
What was your VIT when you fought the Watchdog? That's where I'm stuck now :/
I know this is an old video, but you can parry the keeper.
does this dungeon take away half of your life? I have 1500HP but when I enter this place its 750HP?
Edwin Rivera yes it does
Can't you do a visceral attack on the dog when you hurt his front leg? Or to the amygdala when you break its arms?
JoseAarkan You can visceral Amygdala but not the Watchdog. I do it to Amygdala the one time it comes up in the fight.
Yeah, it was awesome.... but I asked because I saw the "parry-able" stance in the amygdala when you first broke its arm so it got me thinking.
Thanks for answering
When is the best time to get this trophy? should i get all other trophies and get into NG+ or will i not be able to get to her otherwise?.
It should definitely be one of your very last trophies. You can do it in NG+ if you'd like.
+F8L Fool Awesome, but can O do it right off the bat? like before killing amy bosses or is there an event that allows access to queen yharnam?
You need the correct chalices to reach her. Check out my linked guide in the description for a 100% walkthrough of every trophy, including this one.
+F8L Fool Much appreciated :) The theme plat will be mine in due time lol
Best of luck and enjoy the ride.
How is your damage so high against the dog? I have 44 str,30 skill, rank 5 gems(no beast down ones) and hitting for around 400-450 with an R1.
dondiwhite1 I have +18%, +15%, and +22% gems.
What level are you and your axe?
This shit gave me PTSD
