I would love a Bloodborne Maker - where you make your own Chalice Dungeons and have other players load their characters into it. The more high rankings you get for your Dungeon, the more "Old Blood" you get, which can be used for new configurations, custom enemy varieties (Poison Mist Version Watchdog! Mystic / Magic Horned Beast!), and new traps and set ups.
That stupid defiled watchdog was the absolute bane of my existence. Took me months of on and off playing to finally beat him, and I believe that’s the only time I’ve ever had to do that in a fromsoft game. But once I killed him, oh boy it was heavenly
Holy shit man that’s intense. I managed to get all bosses in defiled in the one night but certainly wasn’t easy. My vitality was also at 50 and I had the 3 vit increasing runes on.
The Defiled Amygdala was my most miserable experience in this game. I spent hours trying to learn how to beat it essentially hitless. It took me more tries than Orphan

Absolutely loved the chalice dungeons. They are a massive step up from the disappointing Elden Ring regular dungeons/caves. They drip history, atmosphere and aesthetic.
The mini dungeons in elden ring and bloodborne serve two completely different purposes, neither one is strictly better than the other, since they both have separate goals chalice dungeons get really reparative. There's a reason most players don't even engage with it or know it has unique bosses, and it's super grindy for players looking for good gems. In elden ring they restructured the dungeons to feature way more variety with their layout and have actully level design thats crafted by a person, so you'll have intresting laying with like meaningful illusory walls, dungeons where the actully boss door hidden but the lever is easy to find, one that has invisible bridges, and a teleporting chest that actully teleports to meaningful fixed locations that is required for progression and not just randomly fixed like in the iz chalice, which doesnt add to the progress. The layouts are also more varied with traps in the catacombs being way more easily interactive with to use against enemies compared to the chalices traps. As for other design choices, because players don't actually care much for the repetitive layouts and how long they areg , From chose to make the dungeons have just one layer, and make the dungeons far less frequent, like u have to actully try to find these dungeons, they ain't glowing and making their locations super obvious. The point of the dungeons was to be on average much easier than the bigger legacy dungeons. So they are easier than chalice dungeons, they are ment for players still struggling to more easily get good. The Tunnels even give massive amounts of smithing stones for upgrades if you need it. The good part of chalice dungeons compared to elden ring is that they are way more challenging even for endgame players, they feature more harder enemies and overall they are combat focused, Which Makes sense since its supposed to be an endless mode and allow u to get endgame blood gems.
Pthumerian Descendant is both one of my favourite and one of the boss fights I had the most difficulty with his fast paced and aggressive move set gave me a challenge but feels fair.
I hate the Bloodletting Beast’s punch. It’s fast, hits you from all the way across the boss arena, and can usually one-shot you because of your reduced health
i’ve played through this game like 4 times and i’ve barely touched the chalices. i just use false-depth dungeons to get gems. the dungeons just seem so tedious

I struggled with Ebrietas in the chalice dungeons. Her charge attack in that smaller arena would always catch me even when I felt I was safely out of the way
Nice list. Personal favorite chalice dungeon boss is Watchdog of the Old Lords. He hits hard and can be punishing, but his move set is extremely fair, his attacks easy to learn, and he's got such a cool design. I do like the Elder. Not my fave, but definitely one I enjoy fighting. Definitely try the root chalices if you get the chance. He can be a bit more challenging in deeper depths. Also, in part thanks to the Pthumerian Elder, I honestly think that Martyr Logarius is a Pthumerian. His appearance, grunts, move set are all similar to the Elder. Even his soundtrack, which is called Queen of the Vilebloods, is the same theme played during the fight with Queen Yharnam.
It's actually cute to think Mergo is trying to protect their mother, like, most of the Great Ones in Bloodborne seem to be cruel and soulless, but Mergo is being a loving child.
Facing the Defiled Headless Bloodletting Beast is one of the worst sh*t I've ever experienced in a souls game. People talks about Waterfowl Dance but that glitched ass double arm slam is terrible. At least WD is iconic and spectacular
God, I sometimes feel like I'm blessed that I don't have much need to venture beyond the preset dungeons & bosses. Defiled Bloodletting Beast sounds like a nightmare.
Honestly you said it very well, the headless beast has the worst attack in souls history. Just an instant kill slam that can't be I-framed through unless you're like 5 meters away from it
Actually you can make Root Chalices offline, you just can't share them. I can't agree with Rom's placement, I genuinely consider the Chalice Dungeon version of that fight in the quality as Malenia or the Bed of Chaos (aka one of the worst bosses that FromSoftware has ever created), the arena is too small. If I come across one of the lesser spiders in the floor (and it's a cursed dungeon), I'll REFUSE to go further because the boss is just that terrible. The regular Rom fight at least has room to run around in, you can ignore the lesser spiders there, but not in the room that they chose. Also Ebrietas is able to kill herself with her own aura, I've had that happen to me at least once. It's quite funny to be honest. Also the Elder can appear in the Pthumeru line (even the later ones), so you can fight it when it's stronger, however the aerial attack can get kind of BS. Watchers and Chieftain: this is one that I like, not because it's good but because the rewards are REALLY good for the difficulty of the fight. In Cursed Chalice Dungeons they tend to drop 20%+ boosting gems for physical most of the time, which considering how easy they are is great value. Not only that if you get a curse that's completely unusable (HP drain, damage reduction), they're typically the first boss you'll run into if they appear so you can run it again. Undead Giants: I'm not a fan of, they're kind of bullshit in general thanks to how stupid counter damage is, when running Cursed Root Chalices it feels like there's zero consistency if an attack will one-shot me because of how stupid counter damage is in the game. Keeper: These fights mostly boil down to me parry chaining these guys, though this did lead to an amusing glitch where I somehow got it into the ceiling of the boss arena. Descendant: Basically an Elden Ring boss with it's absurd aggression and attacks, plus there's some bullshit in how the thrown blades IGNORE PILLARS. Not fun, the Maneater Boar is a better boss than it, at least it doesn't feel like cheap bullshit. This boss is at it's absolute worst if you're forced to fight it in the arena that is used for the second Watcher and Chieftain fight in the set dungeons. Bloodletting Beast: This is a mixed one, on one hand the headless version is kind of bullshit and unfun (janky hitboxes) with the one with it's head is quite good. Amygdala: is actually a boss that I don't mind if I'm using a build with some Bloodtinge investment, the Root Chalice version of the fight uses the same room as Rom, and my strategy goes as follows: 1. Stay on the starting platform with a weapon that has overhead strikes (Church Pick, Kirkhammer) until it rips it's arms off. This position makes it not too difficult to avoid attacks and hit the head and reliably prevents the jumping attack. DO NOT USE ANY QUICKSILVER BULLETS during this part, you'll need them for later. 2. Kite the boss around the arena while using Bone-Marrow Ash boosted shots from your strongest firearm that uses one QS bullet per shot. This is why you want to save them in phases one and two. I had success with this at just 18 Bloodtinge and a Piercing Rifle with a powerful Blood Gem. On a more dedicated Skill/Bloodtinge build I realized that using this strategy I ALMOST NO-HIT THE BOSS. This only works in the Root Chalice version of the fight, the forced one this isn't an option.

The first few have maps on one of the Bloodborne wikis that helps with navigation. Beyond that, you're on your own. People have listed the order in which you should attempt the chalices, with there being a few reddit threads to follow. It's not as brutal as people think it is ^^
Nobody is saying that Bloodborne doesn't. The difference is that the Chalice Dungeons are entirely optional & effectively allow you to refight certain story-bosses. In Elden Ring, you generally have to fight refights to get good talismans from dungeons, or items, etc.
What about my video gave the impression that I hated the Chalice Dungeons? Aside from re-used boss content, I honestly don't mind them. Albeit, I think they get a bit old a bit quick, and could have used more room layouts to be consistently enjoyable. Farming for the best blood gem in the world just isn't my thing, even if it is for others.
I specifically chose to rank the bosses given via the preset Chalices, which don't involve using any glyphs or the online system. I felt it fair since most people who delve into the dungeons are doing it just for Queen Yharnam.

I'm not ranking based on difficulty in this video - I'm just choosing the fight I personally vibed with, and I really like how far they went with her mechanics, even if they didn't quite go as far as they could have.
My list would have been almost exactly the same, only swap 1 and 3! The reason why the abhorrent beast is so amazing is because he’s a beast that fights like a hunter. He has the strengths of both and the weaknesses of neither. It’s a an elegant dance with an abomination, and that’s what makes it so fun. Also I love how he anime charges you whenever you’re using blood vials and punishes you for healing unless you heal while he’s mid-animation, such a cool concept!
I have a feeling that the enemies made bosses in the dungeons were meant to be bosses in the main game, got reworked into normal enemies, and the boss versions were just shoved into the dungeons.

Definitely one of the toughest fights for sure. He's so easy to underestimate, which makes him very interesting each time you battle.

If I can get my PC to run it, 100%. I'm keeping track of the mod on Twitter, and every update just has me salivating for more.
Maybe It would be better to rank the bosses when the full mod comes out, i believe there is going to be a ton more bosses in the full version

boss version of the maneater boar does have at least 1 extra move, a rear kick with its hind legs to make it harder to get charged back attacks in.

Lil disappointed how you jumped from frc version for some but downgrade some to their non frc versions
