Can the shaft be removed from the prop/motor? I'm in the process of designing a solar powered autonomous craft and the shaft would need to be turned to 25.4mm vs the stock 30mm. Regards,
Drackkor The Radar 135 hits a top speed of 5.4 mph. Hobie Outback is 5.5 mph. Hobie Pro Angler 5.2. Go to Torqeedo Kayak Fishing and watch those videos. I record and display speed and range at each mph on those videos.
Kevin Bryant I’ve seen it chop through 1 cm thick pad stems and super fine stringy vegetation. I’m not familiar with that particular species of vegetation.
K G Try one of the mounts by Innovative Sportsman or Primal. B & C Power Yaks also makes some super nice custom mounts that allow Torqeedo and Power Pole cohabitation.
Tim Bauserman - Jeff, I am thinking about buying the 403AC for my 2017 Hobie PA 14. The question I have is do I buy now, or would I be better off waiting for what is coming next?
Tim Bauserman Good question. The “what’s next” is likely going to be a 2020 product release. It will work with the components of the 403AC such as the throttle, battery and charger. That’s about as much as I can say about it now. If I didn’t have the 403AC, and knew that something more powerful was coming, I would enjoy the 403AC for a year then assess if an upgrade was worthwhile when the full details were released.
Pat Niccolai We’ve been working with Blue Sky Boatworks to get the Travel 1103 to be an option with the Angler 360. The Travel 1103 wont be out until after the 403A is released, but it won’t be far behind. Add a tiller extension to the Travel 1103, and it’s good to go on boats like the NuCanoe Pursuit, Kaku Kayak Voodoo, Live Watersports L4 Expedition and Blue Sky Boatworks Angler 360.
This will be available in the spring on 2019? I contacted my local Torqeedo dealer and they didn't know about it. Will there be a pre-order directly on torqeedos website?

Hi Jeff great videos can't get enough torqeedo footage. It is now spring the flowers are in full bloom and I have patiently been waiting for the next big thing from the teaser at the paddle Sports convention. "Why are we making such a heavy duty bracket" well you've left us hanging long enough spill it!!!! I own a pa 17t. I need more power than the 403 ultralight can you do a video installing the new updated motor and bracket on a Hobie PA 17T.? If you and Morgan from Hobie can team up together and come up with a great detailed step by step video installing the new motor\braket combo it could generate tremendous sales and make my wish come true please and thank you.

Nice mount, but why did the motor make so much noise when the guy in the kayak took off at the end of the video? Doesn't that scare the fish?
C&L E I run right over striper in 6 feet of water with that motor and they still bite!
