Chromaticism is always an easy way to get spooky with it. Take a heavy minor 1 or 2 bar riff, and repeat it one measure up the fretboard. Repeat process until spooked.
I instantly thought about the call of ktulu, this riff is awesome and has that spooky vibe

I am hoping I'll play it as well... :). Did you learn through tabs, or watching concert videos? Cheers! Very nice playing, keep at it!
I always listen to the record and several concert videos to figure things out. I don't think I get my tabs 100% right all the time, but they should be pretty accurate overall! The second Fear of the Dark solo is pretty tough, took me about a week or so to get that down. But keep in mind that I also need to do a lot of takes to get the complicated parts right for my videos, so it probably still took me a lot of tries to nail the solo accurately!
