    i've had this tent for 2 years now and it has not disappointed me yet. It's a really good tent... haven't used it in real heavy winds with rain but in strong rain nevertheless and it was fine :)

    Much to my relief the Bessport held out ! In fairness for the money it's a grand little tent👍

    Seems like a really decent and roomy tent . I noticed the amount of flapping of the flysheet in the wind. I had a superb Lichfield Cherokee that had a wide foot end facing the wind. I found that it was worth sewing a couple of extra loops for pegs in that wide expanse (and other places, too). It kept the tent in far better shape in the wind. Just a thought.

    The inner material is more mesh what is the windproof material but judging from this video it seems like the mesh material is more really

    That's the only thing that puts me off getting a tent were you have to put the inner up first thanks for sharing Dan hope you and the family are well stay safe atvb jimmy 😎😎

      I think that you should be able to put up the outer first, but you will need the footprint. Like the MSR tents, first lay out the footprint, peg it and set up the poles. This done, throw over the flysheet and clip it in, then stake out guy lines etc as required. Last, get under cover and put up the inner from underneath. Probably wont be perfect, but the inner should stay dry that way.

    would it be possible to put the tent up as you would for for the lightweight option (no inner) then add the inner once it's up?

      @CampLifeBushcraft  3 роки тому +2

      no I don't believe so, the poles go in different places depending on the set up option you choose.

      That was the last trip I took, a week before the lockdown. feels like a long time ago now.
      its not a bad tent for the price, it has so much room considering the pack size and weight of it.

    I like your rain and snow and wind videos lol! Like I said before anyone can camp on a summer day...glad you didn't blow away lol!

    I was all packed for a tarp camp that night up there, glad I called it off.
    I have to be honest, I wouldn't camp in an inner first tent in winter, but on the power of your video I'm considering one for summer to use without the fly sheet just to keep bugs off, and have an option should it rain.
    Good, honest appraisal of the kit.

      I agree with you, in the summer it would be great, on a dry night just being in the inner would be glorious 👍

    I'd say it's okay if it survived Dartmoor 👍

    That's always a problem with double wall tents (pitching in rain) hard to keep the inner dry.😂

      That was my observation too

      All the trees in the English moorlands were cut down centuries ago.
