Just got my hands on the U.S. red model. I can't believe Motorola waited until the end of the year to release it here but I'm glad they finally did. I can't wait to see what they have in store for 2023.
Temperatures aswell 😂 I've watched many Indian reviews (I am Indian) and almost all of them told that the phone heals a bit, but moto has optimised the phone to a good amount to reduce those, I'll still buy the phone as I don't game much anymore, it's a great phone, just wish it had more ram+storage options
both 888+ and 8 gen 1 heat because they are not manufactured in TSMC foundry, get the 8 gen plus 1 based phone, edge 30 ultra or wait S23 release by samsung
Motorola making some super good looking devices these days. Just wish they had better software support. Despite that though their bare bones version of Android is excellent. Hardware is super good as well.
Motorola is my favorite phone brand this year. Why? Because you can clearly see they're making reasonable progress. At any price range (budget, mid, flagship) you'll get the best bang for bucks. Pricing Top! Hardware top! Software Top! (although they have to do more in terms of support). I like that they stuck with Google's stock android instead of creating an unnecessary UI skin and complicating matters. I am rooting for them to get it right, support-wise, that's the only thing holding them back imo.
This phone is going to receive two android os updates and 3 years of security updates. That's pretty good since a lot of android phones get just one os update or none at all. Motorola is definitely improving when it comes to updates

I think the Pixel will be running the same chipset as the 6. The 7 will Probably add a huge discount to the 6 as well which might result in the 6 being a great cheap mid range handset. What are you expecting from the 7 mate?

Was waiting for a review on this one after your Motorola Edge Ultra video. Definitely gonna buy either this one or the Ultra, hope they get more colors on the Ultra! Most of the features seem the same except for the camera and Wireless charging.
I'd have preferred this to Nothing phone. I really regret my decision for Nothing, which still has issues despite the updates. Unfortunately the resale value is very low so I have to keep it for longer. Then I'll get either this Fusion or the Ultra one.
I've had it for over a week now, paid £399 early bird price on the Motorola website. It's a fantastic phone, I just wish there were some accessories for it. There are no cases available anywhere! The slippery condom case is already looking a bit grim.
I bought mine new in viva magenta color for just 350$, such a steal. I love the phone it's a great all rounder, without a doubt the best you'll find if you manage to get it at the same price.
Finally price dropped by Motorola to $499 for the 12GB/256GB variant of the Edge 30 Fusion, blue. The red is still $100 more expensive. Go figure. However, after listening to this review, I ventured to purchase the blue one. I have to say, it is impressive. Fits nicely into my hand, is slim and sexy, no prophylactic needed for this baby. Responsive, no stutters, light intensity awesome, colors vibrant. Overall, a great performer, and easily my favorite device to hold and to cherish.

But could I be cheeky and ask in your phone reviews to mention whether the phone supports external devices though the USB-C like hdmi out and memory stick / usb Device support. Most UA-camrs never mention this 🙁 and it's one of my favourite useful features on phones 🙂
Hello Uncle Spurt! I too have joined the Motorola world by getting the Moto g 5g 2022. I used to not like Motorola phones but this model is surprisingly good! Just a couple of drawbacks. No stereo speakers & the turtleishly slow 10 watt charger. Was surprised that the Mediatek processor is actually good.

I have had the phone for a week or so I can give a quick review first of all I'm coming from a s22 having used a pixel 6 and iPhone 12 so the software feels very Google and your would struggle to tell if it's a Motorola however for me i started missing some software features, the design build and in hand feel is great I will say it's very slippery but Motorola do provide you with a case , display is top aswell as speakers fingerprint scanner it's doesn't have a always on display moto have they own version of it , battery life is very good only if you have it in auto refresh mode , charging is fast I have seen reports that Moto is not the best for providing updates and I can't seem to find the official update policy for this phone apparently it's 2 os updates and 3 years of security updates you do get a day one update all this said I am returning mine and using the s22 again more hand friendly
@@maicolll few different reasons one handed use , bixby routines yes I'm serious once you can automate , fingerprint scanner is the best I ever used wet finger dirty finger partial it's just works , doubts about actual software bug fixes Motorola website is very vague , as for why over pixels or iPhone , pixel 6 has been a awful phone for me I experienced too many bugs , iPhones are just expensive and not worth it unless you can get a good deal

This is a steal for everything you get. The charger is bigger than you may think. It comes in the box and works as advertised…. I love it

never buying a phone with a curved screen. made a mistake with xperia compact x, and that thing didnt even have a big curvature. never was able to apply screen protector film. always had the edges come undone within days. on the other hand, that little bugger went through an entire washing machine cycle (3hrs), and it was still working! sure, it was wrapped in a blanket which was just tossed into the machine right off the bed, but still. still works today. lol.
Hopefully when motorola announces motorola edge 40 fusion it comes with a telephoto camera along with wireless charging with same software support as motorola edge 30 ultra
This looks like an amazing phone. Motorola has upped their game the last year or so by improving their design and putting better processors in their phones. I wish they had a better ip rating but otherwise I’ve always loved the set up of Motorola. In my opinion, it’s a much better stock android experience even beating out the buggy Pixel experience.

I bought 7 pro.. dude was i irritated on all to many things, calls falling out, slow picture processing, editing, weak wifi antenna, and being google phone, google chrome had issues, and all to slow charging and not that great battery time.. only good thing about it was the cam.. but it just can't weight up all the issues that it has.. oh they will fix the bugs in next update promises, but they solved 1 thing and the other popped up.. and it was a bit to big too.. i was cought by the hype obviosly.. i bought it new privately for 6500 sek ( something like 515p) and sold it for 7500 sek (600p) .. haha--- soo.. now i am considering this motorola actually for 5000 sek (400p) not bad price ..

a great phone with the "beast" SD888, killer sharp camera lens, chips, picture quality etc. except for the oled screen. I prefer amoled or super amoled.
This phone actually has P-OLED screen. It's made by LG which is pretty good when it comes to screens. Quality wise it should be about the same like Samsung's Super AMOLED
I have a edge plus and an iphone 12 and the iphone has more detail and better videos. Still love the Motorola as the display is nicer and feels good in the hand.
Hi i wonder. Have you ever done videos about cheap projectors to use for bed movie watching or as replacement for a tv? I know tv sets with 120 hertz looks lovely but im sure there excists cheap portable projectors? The one i have found as super portable is the viewsonic m1 mini. Its priced at 1400 dkk here in denmark but i wonder if cheaper options excists? I would like a scenario where i can use a projector quickly in my bed and while being out in the nature with my family or camping or whatever the case may be where a projector is suitable for such tasks. it does not matter. Imagine you had a 8gen1 in there that heats up and throttles so hard that it is actually performing far worse than a 888 xD

The biggest appeal of this one is the 165g at 6.5", guess that is also why the wireless charging was left out

Have one and like it, but the lack of bezels makes it hard to use with my drone as the cradle covers some of the UI in the DJI app.

I wanted to ask you about Motorola now, since you have experience here. I looked into features and it seems motorola edge 30 fusion and motorola g200 5G support wired ready for & have pc connection too (two options important to me).
Could you maybe tell me by any chance if either one of them runs 4K 60 FPS well? Or at least in your opinion 2k 60 FPS would be smooth with them

I sent mine back seem to have faulty screen and got a refund of £399 thought just wait it out to see what pixel 7 is like before I make a decision on next phone s22 I have now is pathetic in battery life and heating , honestly if the pixel 7 is not priced right in uk in my budget anything and even a penny over £649 then I be buying the fusion again
I'll never understand why thin bezels is seen as a good thing. You constantly end up accidentally pressing stuff.
