That is an excellent review!!!! Really in-depth. Would you say the Moto Edge 30 has a good camera in the price range? Many other reviews say that the images from the cameras on the Moto tend to have reddish hues especially on human skin? Is that true? Or does that change with any settings or updates?
Would love to see this phones against the OnePlus Nord 2T.

This is peak aesthetic design, imo.
The only improvement that could be made would be having a flush camera module, but that is so rare these days anyway. Still, it'd make an already beautiful design pretty close to perfect. I legitimately can't find any element of this design that I don't like. That dusty blue is gorgeous and the smooth coating in the back as well as the rectangular rounded shape, it's rectangular but the curves are subtle... It just looks so good. And a flat screen.
Well done Moto. Really hope this comes to the US.
The feature that Motorola really hits out of the park is battery life. I get minimum 12 to 14 hours even on their low end devices like the moto g pure.
So this is a good or bad thing?

IP52...Geez that is low.
Overall the phone is too weak in most specs. IP52, gorilla 3, shitty battery. A53 5G is better overall and 4 years software support.

Like ram is important same storage type is.

Umcp is not a storage type but its a chipset where ram /rom are combined to save space for other components

Wow, a phone that is lighter and thinner than the 11 lite..amazing. Once you use a phone this slim and light you'll never go back to one of those lead weight bricks again. I've been using the 11 LITE 5g NE for 6 months and it's so amazing. Can't even feel it in the pocket.
I watched the whole review for the battery, and he didn't even talk bout it 😑😑😑😑...... There is no review out there which is talking about the battery for this phone. I cannot buy it until I am 100% sure

The battery is actually good. The latest umcp storage combined with the 778plus chipset is giving actually good results😊

I really like this phone but it doesn't look like much of an upgrade from my K20 pro (mi 9t pro), i wish it had atleast 4500mah
Also you can get oneplus 8t with still 2 software updates and flaghsips specs for this prince in configuration 128/8 gb
Fantastic review, I just picked one up for $329 AUD which is about $200 euros. Extremely good value just wish it had wireless charging.

I've decided to change from getting an oppo either the a78 ($349) or a96 ($399) to this special at Jb Hi-fi ($349 - did U get for $329?) The no extra storage microSD slightly bothers me so I hope it's worth it for the better camera and better specs🤞🏻
@@trebor3033 JB sent out a $20 voucher to members for purchases over $200, that's where the $329 came from.
So far the display, performance and software have been fantastic.
Camera has been a lot worse than the review showed at least in my opinion.
You'll probably get more battery life from those Oppo's but I can't stand the software personally
I'm sticking with my 8/256 GB variant of the samsung a52s.
honestly this phone in 2023 at its price is still the best option concidering the phones that are coming out now

I have been using Moto Edge 30 for 2 weeks and I am facing a minor bug i.e. whenever im receiving the call when phone is locked, the screen/backlight gets dimmed once kept on ear and take back and sometimes it is so dark that I can't even cut the call. Don't know whether it's a hardware issue or software. Does anyone face the same bug?

3 months later, I'm seeing this phone selling at around 300$. Such a great value.
I want to like Motorola phones but there's a few issues holding them back. I had a Motorola G Power from 2020 and while it started out great, it had major deal breakers for me at least. The processor(Snapdragon 665) didn't hold up well over time and right before I sold it, it took about 30 minutes to send a pizza order through my Pizza Hut app. Part of this might've been on Verizon data being slow but that wasn't the only instance of issues in processing simple tasks. The biggest deal breaker by far was the call quality which I notice you didn't even address in this phone review(many don't either). I use my phone at work and on the go and need a phone that will work on calls hence the phone part of the smartphone. That Moto G Power was awful and I couldn't hear the person calling and they couldn't hear me. This is unacceptable and it's odd because Motorola was the company that innovated electronic communication. The original Motorola company produced the walkie talkies and phones used in World War 2, perhaps Lenovo isn't using their old technology? I loved the Motorola interface and stock Android along with the quirky Moto actions. That phone got excellent battery life though the two or three day battery claim was an outright lie. Motorola also is notorious for only doing one or two software updates which in 2022 is also unacceptable. I dig the new design of this phone but my past experience with the only Motorola phone I ever owned kinda soured me on them. I currently use a Pixel 5a 5g and this phone totally kills any Motorola phone on the market today. I bet it's still better than Moto phones using the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Motorola cuts too many corners on their phones for anyone to consider buying them. If you only use your phone for online stuff and texting, maybe it'd be worth it. If you're using your phone on calls and longevity, I doubt this phone is worth it.
Well I'm hoping you aren't chosing Samsung as they continue to have a dangerous battery problem.....

Great, finally a replacement for my G5..
there are many mistakes in this review.. you should seriously recheck the facts before you make a review.. for example, the phone has a pOLED screen and not an AMOLED screen. This difference makes a huge difference as pOLED is better than regular AMOLED.

If they would make it thicker so that the cameras are flat to the case, there would be 5000,ah possible, place for sd card exppansion and headphone jack...., and then you would have the perfect phone.
No, I would not want a thicker phone, as thin as possible please. This or Xiaomi 11 Lite was my options.
