Thanks for your review on the the new M440i. I've had lots of cars over the years but never a BMW because I was somewhat tired of the same old front ends over the years. I couldn't tell one model year from another. I always like being the first on my block to have something different, and the 2021 M440i certainly satisfied that need. BMW aficionados who are turned off by the new front end styling should see the car in person. Much better in 3-D than 2-D. And the front ends are going to change on four-door models as well so you'll have to get used to that. I agree that the ride is not as soft as I expected (vs my 2011 Corvette and Toyota Highlander) but it does offer something different than I've been used to. I will continue to play with the various settings to find a ride that is right for me. It is a fast car and you need to check your speedo to make sure you're not going 20 over the limit. I'm 84 years old and am enjoying the ride.
Hi guys, I don't understand why reviewers are so limited in reacting as it should. I bought this car 2 weeks ago and for road use, if you want more, you simply need to by a supercar. In my opinion there is no other smarter option on the market to have a complete packet of: luxury, functionality, space, sport experience and speed even if it is a driving experience focused car. I had Corvette ZR1, I know how a super car handles, I am doing motorcycle racing also, so I familiar with pushing things to the limit. If you are not impressed about this car... you didn't push it to the limit. And by the way, with a 800 eur Cip you get 60 more HP and 90 nM of torgue... The car is just laughing at you... This chassis and dampers, can easley handle more than 600 HP. Cheers
2017 440i owner here, love the new model but I won't be upgrading because frankly, mine has most of the goodies (especially the b58). Didn't think it looked great until I saw it in person, I get the hate but in person it looks really quite good. Makes me look every time one drives past
I recently had the opportunity to track this model at a BMW autocross event in Anahiem. Pitting the vehicle after my second lap, I got the "no prizes, no medals" speech from the head instructor. I asked if there would be trophy girls, and he rolled his eyes. I really pushed the vehicle. On my final lap, I took it easy, as I did not want to get banned from future events. Very impressed with it's braking and handling capabilities. The car looks fantastic. Thanks for the video.
I've had my 21 m440ix for about 16 months and I am in love. This thing just seems to read my mind. It is always in the right gear to give me the power I need at the time. If I want to be lazy, I just hit the Eco button and get almost 30mpg. Or touch the magical sport button and have all the fun you can get away with. Be warned, this car will put triple digits on the dash so fast it will surprise you. That means you have to be careful if you are in an area where they frown on that kind of thing. The only possible complaint of this car is that I can't program it to stay in sport mode. That's it. The computer stores so many things in this car it seems it would be a simple thing to remember. I guess one negative thing for BMW is t hat i am not likely to upgrade anytime in the next few years. I am quite happy with this car just the way it is. "AT a Boy BMW."
@@7shelliot234 That would be anything over 100. That day there was a one, a three and an eight. I didn't even realize how fast i was going as i was a little busy watching where i was going and nailing the brakes. I am babying her as she is still under warranty.
@@FrankBarnhill-i6c is it true it will turn on engine light on the dashboard and stuff like that ? Like maintenance wise does it go faulty on you ? Or is it just haters and rumors
@@7shelliot234 No. This is the first car that I ever bought that has needed NOTHING done under warranty. The car has 21k miles on it and is still just as perfect as the day she arrived. Its build quality is absolutely top notch. It will put a speed warning light on the dash over 50. That is what i set it at for my city. But the light stays on till the car is turned off and back on. My only complaint is that you cant set default sport mode for the car. It is absurd that you have to push the button every time you start the car. But it is a very little thing. If thats all i ever have to complain about, i consider myself lucky.
Got my first bmw in October got the 2022 m440i. It’s great I like the new interior and the new grill looks great in person. (Wasn’t a fan of grill when first released but grew to really like it)
I asked BMW United States so called Geniuses why they removed the M Badges any typically no response. I have a 21 M440i vert and in Canada they are standard equipment.
That happens on almost every coupe. Including my 335i. Mostly due to the fact that the rear is taller and the wheel fitment isn’t good. I ran lowering springs and spacers and it looks 100 times better.
My god that interior! 😭 too bad the plate is mounted on front grill. I’d be so sad if mine were plated on this model. I love that I can have a full face grill. So in luv w mine 🥰
This car is seriously on my short list. I love the front. The only issue I have is with the exhaust tips. I wish they looked more like the C43 tips but, that's minor compared to how much I like the car overall.
Love it. Great for me. But I’m 38, and I just purchased the 23 version, I hate the screen in the new model. That said, I’m absolutely in love with the car. Great build quality, great all weather car, but I’m 38. Im probably looking for something totally different in a car.
Had this one for 7 months and traded it and took the proverbial bath but the four different electrical gremlins had me spooked. All work and parts done under warranty but what if I didn’t have that, the cost would be ridiculous, I know because I asked what the hourly mechanic rate is and did the math. It was supposed to my dream car 😢
Because no other cars are available. My 2000 Camry is nicer than a 23 Camry. Most cars are over 40K spend an extra 10 get a BMW. At least it runs on gas !!!

Hope you’re still enjoying your whip, friend. Just got mine last week!
84, now 87, I hope you're still enjoying your ride!
Once you see the car in person , the front end seems far less offensive. I find it quite nice.

What’s your MPG on economy?

It’s metallic gray
I have a 2022 M440i and for some reason they removed the M side badges 😞…. I like them
I asked BMW United States so called Geniuses why they removed the M Badges any typically no response. I have a 21 M440i vert and in Canada they are standard equipment.
Why did BMW USA remove the Side Badges? They won't give a reason. Side Badges removal is a terrible mistake.
I don't know how BMW have done it but they have managed to make the front wheels look 22in and the rears 14 inch. That is quite something.
That happens on almost every coupe. Including my 335i. Mostly due to the fact that the rear is taller and the wheel fitment isn’t good. I ran lowering springs and spacers and it looks 100 times better.
I wonder how difficult it would be to take the front end off a 2019 330i and put it onto the front of one of these or the new m3. Does anyone know?

Still love it?

It looks great and I love it!! The best dynamic drive!! Great all around package!!!
Thanks for the informative video I would like to know your opinion about getting m240 or m440 if I don’t care about rear seats
M240i is a lot more fun. They both don't look great in my opinion but the 240 is just a bit more tossable and snappy.
@@RoadsUntravelednot aggressive enough looking for you? Or what.
Should i get the grand coupe or the coupe ..
Coupe
Man I love every second of this video👍.
It seems like the car doesn't have M performance exhaust. Doesn't pop :0
No wonder u got 20k views for 2years. The comparisment b/w 530e n m440i literally explains it all
There are 2 basic opinions of the M440i ; those who own one, love it. Those who don't own one, hate the grill. That's about it.
Clean your camera lenses. That black spot near the bottom left has been on numerous videos.
Great video!
M440 sounds better than M4 to me. My only complaint about M4's...tingy rattly sounding exhaust.
I rather stay with tho old bimmers because that front bumper looks weird asf
Same engine as the Supra?!
Can't get over the massive grille... :(
It’s amazing

That front license plate totally kills the look of the car, such a shame😑

Still can’t fathom why Toyota let BMW build the new Supra...so sad...
I'm hoping the Nissan 400Z will change that by way of a little healthy competition! Manual, too..
Have you even driven the new Supra? It’s better than the MKIV in every way.
What's so sad? It's an awesome car from everything I've seen...
BMW didn't build the GR Supra. 😂😂
Tubo
In my language it means. PIPE 😂😂
The grill for this car looks repugnantly horrendous. It looks like it’s trying to copy a Alfa Romeo
A shitty copy at that
this made me laugh
Beyter than an MKV Supra
Don't give a shit what a 16yr old thinks of any car
Relax, David.
M badge slapped everywhere for not being a real M
It’s a M performance model hence the name M440i.
Anyone who thinks the new 4-series looks like a Mustang needs to their eyes checked. Either that or, all coupes look like the Mustang.

why would anyone buy these cars?
They're hideous?
to show the neighbours you're rich? Same reason people buy SUV's. Otherwise I have no clue
I disagree. Time will tell

B58 is ❤️!! The ONLY thing I hate about the 440i is the skinny ass tires, specifically on the x drive! It looks GOOFY as F from the back.
