"What else do you have?" "What do you have that's weird?" "Do I see something I would probably like?" These are the questions I get hit with at magic shops....
Often I am asked. What does a hero truly need? Hmhmhm. Much depends upon the hero. Would you be swift? Then for you a have speed beyond measure. Would you be strong? Then I can give you the strength to overpower any foe. Would you be wise? Then come closer and I will unlock your inner cunning. What does a hero, truly need. That is for you to decide.
Oh, and the infamous "Can you check in the back?" Darling, the back isn't nearly as magical as what you're looking at. There's just some broken wands and a half-eaten sandwich my companion left this morning.
"See here, shopkeeper, let's say one is in need of a special kind of magical artifact. Something they would need to take care of some nasty business, if you know what I mean." "There are many things in my store, even that which is of odd origin, nature and purpose. I am sure _something_ could be found for such a theoretical occurence, if the price is right." "Then by any chance, if someone were to ask, what would you hypothetically recommend to them to use against an.... algorithm?"
,,Ah, welcome young traveler. What do you want? May I serve you with a bag of fairydust? Or an amulet made out of the crystallized eye of a dragon?" ,,I, uh.. I was actually just searching for a sword, sir" ,,Difficult clientele"
A small little shop, they say. One that appears when you need it most and where you expect it least. Sometimes it’s in empty lots that never originally housed any building, or it’s in a closet door that defies the actual space of said closet. “Beware the owner.” A simple warning. “Nothing comes for free. Nothing comes cheap.” Desperate parents or siblings, seeking remedies to heal those on the brink of death. Power crazed nobles seeking a way to dethrone the current heir. Innocent children seeking a new friend or pet in any form. You can hear the cries of the creatures hidden in the shop. Some common, like a rooster or a doe. Some more bizarre, like a jackalope or a phoenix. Cages all varied sizes, yet you get a deep feeling that some are much smaller or much larger than what is seen. The shopkeep’s eyes never stray off you, even as their head is bowed in a task. What it is varies: refilling ghastly potions, taking notes of inventory, consulting a map... They may not directly look up, but the eyes are everywhere, listening and seeing. What you seek is not of importance. It’s what little you have that you are willing to give to risk everything that is.
Thank goodness this came out. I used this a couple days ago for a magic shop run by a couple of kenku, and afterward, some of my players actually came to me impressed by the soundtrack. Once again, I am amazed!
I can imagine a shop in an RPG with some sort of tv head shop keeper behind the counter and every time you go in the shop, his quotes are like: “Yeah, drink it all in. ‘Cause I’ve have time” “Make sure you buy some healing potions! For your teammates, that is” “Welcome to my shop! Please look around” “Come in come in! Don’t forget to wipe your feet”
This is one if not the best magical shop audios I've come across! Thank you so much for making these ( love plotting my d&d campaigns with these atmospheres to inspire me in the background!)
Maybe a version of this but just missing the animal noises? I dm and have magic shops around, but pet shops aren’t part of them, they’re in other places. ( sorry if this comes off as negative! i love this channel and use your ambient stuff in like every single weekly session! thank you for your hard work!)
"This is a very weird shop if i've ever seen one. This shop has every weird and rarest stuff ever. "We needed to make a stop by a rare shop to buy some resources. So i told the train guy to stop here and we went in to buy or see something here." Shopkeeper: You want weird, we got it all from skeleton hands to abnormal animals, all for 40% off.
Shopkeeper: Hmm... aren't you too young to buy things missy? Because you would need his permission to let you purchase something here? Me: She may be little but i do let her do things as long as she doesn't do anything to cause us trouble. Shopkeeper: *Sigh* Alright alright, just so find what you like and pay up then.
"Take this object. But beware, it carries a terrible curse." "Ooh, that's bad." "But it comes with a free froghurt!" "That's good!" "The froghurt is also cursed."
DAMMIT ULGOB, you know how hard it is to get all that gold, HARDER THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE! You have to find a dungeon, enter the dungeon, find monsters in the dungeon, fight said monsters, exit the dungeon, fight the dungeon, and then sell every tooth, nail, arm, leg, eye, and brick and then you spend it all. WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED ALL THOSE INSTA FORTS JUST ADD WATER!
" magnesium, sulfur, oh hello welcome 🧙 have a look around, if you need anything just tap this on the counter, now if you excuse me I must attend to my stocks, now let's see where did I leave the saint johns wart probably next to wolfs bane 🤔"
Positive Criticism: There are a lot of good noises here, but all together it feels like too much. Many of the noises are attention grabbers that will distract players rather than sit in the background. Thank you for your work, and good luck!

if a new video isnt for something I had already thought of, it inspires something totally new. Incredible!
That's my job :D

Thank you so much. I was looking for something with a variety of busy, yet soothing sounds. Love this!

Aaaah. Nothing like some calming ambience to help one relax with a good book.

Honestly my favorite one so far

"M-Mr shopkeeper, could we buy things in here? We are kinda running out of supplies, so what are some items that we can buy?
Shopkeeper: Hmm... aren't you too young to buy things missy? Because you would need his permission to let you purchase something here?
Me: She may be little but i do let her do things as long as she doesn't do anything to cause us trouble.

Me: Thank you Mr, and yes i'll find something for both me and my partner. *Hums while looking around*
Gorgeous painting!!
Fantastic! I’m finally getting back to DMing this Friday and this will be perfect for the fun magic shop I have planned
So good

As the 1,000 like to this video: you have earned bardic inspiration (+1D8) for the next 10 day in-game if you read this comment.
Well done brother!
Ahahah thanks!
So tell me, Outlander, do you wish to see my magical goods?
Hey, can you do something on a sun temple? Since you already have a moon temple... oh and why not a star temple!
I'd like to speak to Rosalie or Monroe, please
Oh...this crystal...what is the story with it?

Thanks for the tips! I may do a redux version for Bandcamp then. I think you are right.
