  • Work continues on the 122. It's always the last 10% that takes 90% of the time. We even get a cold start today! Easiest #willitrun ever. Piles of new parts keep coming in for this car as we prepare for our end of summer road trip!
Thanks for checking out the channel!

😂 "Have to add to the list just to cross it off". Working on old Volvos 101 - list will be longer than anticipated. Lol

Funny as we watch this a storm is rolling in here, I'd be so nervous with my car collection under those massive trees 😅

Eventually you have to get that weber carb off there and put some SUs on there. The engines run stronger and the SUs make the great intake noises to satisfy the audio stimulation. You can use the 66 and older intake for the SUs and keep the header you
are putting on. Sorry, not trying to tell you where to go with this car but I am not a big
fan of the weber setup on there. maybe if you put two of those weber carbs on there
    then it might be fun.
Looking good Dean. Glad to see so much Amazon repairs going on.

I have mixed feelings on the weber, ultimately, its not what I really want. It’s coming off eventually

I should call my rag joint, see how its doing.
I guess the discussion on old camcorders was a timely one. What a shame to lose such a cool Merc. Buying a fire extinguisher for the Volvo as we speak.

Losing a cool car is a quick way to a broken heart. Thankfully we can always build more cool things. That's the best part anyway.

I thought for sure the hood release cable would be too short. Really looking forward to the new exhaust.
Starting: does the fuel pump or carb have a check valve to prevent gas flowing back to the tank? If so, it’s not working. Also, have you thought about adding an inline electric pump to help things out a bit?

There are a lot of things I should look into. I think the first will be attaching the choke cable. :)

Nice job, I heard they use bees wax on the old cars to keep the patina

@@Weissherz I've been a Mustie1 subscriber for many years! I forget he used beeswax. Now I should try it.

    Would coil overs work?

You could make them work with some fabrication I believe
