    Nice job , I done a similar job on a back window of my leyland tractor last winter, and used box and plate. It definitely worth spending the time putting in the heavier metal. Great job well done 👍

      @@hartleyhore9040 Thank you Hartley, nice to hear from you too 👍 Yes, the heavier material will hold up better against corrosion, and it's not like weight is a issue with a piece of equipment.

    Safety squints engaged.😉😁
    Mint idea on recreating the frame bottoms.👍🏻
    Good call on the drain holes. On thing I would do after paint is pump some Dynax/Waxoyl into the frames to stop surface rust coming back.

      The bottoms always rot on this series of 3CX, lack of drain holes maybe - I like your idea of getting some Waxoyl inside the frames to help prevent further rotting in the future ! 👌🤙

    Great work and well worth the effort to keep your 3cx correct my 1986 has the glass doors and still original recon i will be in trouble if I shatter one of those how is your smooth ride working

    • @PSExcavationsLLC
      @PSExcavationsLLC  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks Nick, It has to be correct! or better. Done in a way that could have been made by JCB that way in 1988. The smooth ride is working a treat and has proven to be one of the best retro fitted accesories yet! 👌👌 Would it be worth keeping a set of door glass in stock, should you ever break one, or could you get the door glass easy enough from your local plant glass company or maybe the likes of Vicary?

      @@PSExcavationsLLC pleased smooth ride was worth fitting I thought it would be having fitted on my 1986 model years ago last time a checked no one stocked the full glass doors but haven't checked recently 👍 to vid
