🤣🤣🤣 We cant all be perfect John. I had obviously knocked the lever when turning the seat around. A lot of good work was done here, around the walls and leaving without any damage and an invitation to go back and carry out more work. My watch...haha.. its a Casio! Iv had expensive watches in the past, as Im working they end up getting damaged, scratched and banged about. So I ended up with this cheap retro Casio watch which tells the time, day and has been really reliable! 👌

Hi, Only cylinder type cooler which is for the trans, no cooler for the hydraulic oil 👍

@@PSExcavationsLLC I got a 1989 project 7 JCB and its having problem with transmission oil.because of water mixing with transmission oil. Please give me a opinion.

I would fit a new cylinder type oil cooler, when the cooler starts to fail, coolant and trans oil will mix as the cooler leaks. You may have to flush the coolant system if oil has mixed with the coolant. You may have to flush the transmission too!

Thanks Nick, It has to be correct! or better. Done in a way that could have been made by JCB that way in 1988. The smooth ride is working a treat and has proven to be one of the best retro fitted accesories yet! 👌👌 Would it be worth keeping a set of door glass in stock, should you ever break one, or could you get the door glass easy enough from your local plant glass company or maybe the likes of Vicary?

The bottoms always rot on this series of 3CX, lack of drain holes maybe - I like your idea of getting some Waxoyl inside the frames to help prevent further rotting in the future ! 👌🤙

Hi, you will find the filter under the hood, attached to the fuel tank near to the filler. You will have to remove the metal engine cover and side panels to access the filter.

@@PSExcavationsLLC Thank you for your answer. I taught that it's located under cover we can see at 7'th second of your video just below "Super 3CX" label. I'm assuming that's something else?

@@wotfinowski The two round plates on the front under the 'super 3CX' decals are inspection plates to access the hyd tanks, for cleaning. The right hand inspection plate has the pick up for the power steering pump, this has a washable screen filter fitted to it. But yes the main hyd filter is up high on the fuel tank. Hyd filter JCB part number 581/06301

Hi Andrew, thank you for watching and the comment! The height to the top of the arm when folded up for roading is 13 feet tall. The cab is around 10 feet tall, the arm could be lowered to get you into your building, in the past I have lowered the arm to drive under a low bridge on the road 👌

I agree, many many big companies in England (and around the world I would think) started with a backhoe. One machine that you dont need a big truck for transporting, drive the backhoe on the road, and Iv covered some distance over the years. Dont always need a dumper on the job site, and the list of jobs and tasks that can be carried out with just the one machine (and one operator) is very long. 💪💪👍👍

@@PSExcavationsLLC We have had the same weather here wettest I ever remember, hardest year I ever worked out in, I’m about to shot blast my 1989 grey cab build I will definitely email on start to finish I bought it off a farmer and he was cruel with it to say the least , it will never happen to that machine again took a week to make 2 new doors and 2 new window frames Complete engine rebuild, liners are Tricky to get out, crank main bearings big ends pistons new injectors new injector pump re wire king post, brakes , holy god when I look back, it had to be a mechanic to do it , hope to blast it clean next week weather permitting,

Hi Darren, Thanks for the kind words, it is hard sometimes to keep going, when everything around you is not just right, wet and windy weather keeps jobs from starting. I know things will pick up and more people will want excavation work to be carried out, and when they do - I will be here with my equipment, ready to perform, make great videos to entertain the world (or something like that haha). Thanks for the offer to help, I will keep that in mind! The trailer is working very well, it would have turned out better if I had a little more time and if I could have built it inside, but overall, very good strong trailer! The wife does a good job, just need to get her in the machines more now 😆

The front are tubeless, I think i were having trouble sealing the rears so tubes were fitted. Even with tubeless, you should still take the tire off and repair the hole from inside - not just plug it from the outside, that would be poor practice!

@@PSExcavationsLLC had tubless before and got 3000hrs out of the tires. It was expensive back then to get sealent but on the site the tires were like pin coushins. Sealant did rot the sidewalls but with the hrs and tires were near bald couldnt complain.

Nice tire Darren, I have 1000hrs on my rears and still like new 👌

I had to change the hoses, most were in so poor condition and as you know my 3CX goes all over the place and I cant have hoses leaking or making me look bad in front of a customer. Plus oil is not cheap!! Some good videos coming this year, 3CX has a major upgrade - cant say anymore 😁
