Always worth the time. i don't have one, but I've watched in order to learn something. I'm not much of a mechanical guy, so I enjoy seeing how easy something can be repaired with a little knowledge. I liked it. Thanks, Rudy.
Thanks Meat!
Excellent. Well done step by step video. Loved the stacking portion. As an added tip for someone like me who had difficulty with the snap ring, please show the indentation on the rod just before you pull the spring and the washer. I couldn't see the indentation once everything was reassembled and ready for the snap ring placement. I was frustrated with the snap ring because I wasn't able to position the rod and ring correctly. My fault. I watched several other videos and no one showed the indentation on the rod. After spending time with the rod and ring not being able to snap it in place, I removed the inner parts, placed them in a stacking position and looked closely at the rod itself. Then I saw the indentation and within a couple of minutes had the snap ring secured to the rod.
Again great video, great audio and step by step.
Thank you
That's awesome! SO glad I was able to help. I got the stacking thing from a few automatic transmissions I've rebuilt in the past. When I take them apart I stack the parts like that to keep from getting confused!
Thank for info
@@alkampe6484 YW!

That's awesome! Glad I could help.
Easy !!!-(). I better read my How to fly A-380 for dummies. Thanks much !!!
You're welcome!
what was wrong with the belt you removed? It didn't look tattered or worn.
Thanks much.
I just got brand new from amz and it spin fine without brush. but after install goes into tr-tr-tr mode.
Traced this to clutch by feeling vibration, anybody experienced this ?
Without brush spins quite and fast, checked it first on the pen.
Can you take apart the clutch and see if anything looks broken inside?
@@TheHomeImprovementChannel THanks much. It's too much for my setup. I ordered new brush to try, could be that old doesn't rotate smooth, so cases clutch slipping trrrrrrr. Will try tomorrow, could be clutch or brush.
@@mario17-t34 I hope it works out for ya!
@@TheHomeImprovementChannel Thanks much for support!!! yea, it was brush, many people don't think about this, if it's tough to spin after getting dirty, clutch goes into trrr safety mode. Now it's fine. Even on old clutch.
@@mario17-t34 That's great! I almost wish I had a bad brush to put in there to show the problem on a video.... Great and easy fix.. 😊
Thank you sir
YW!
I ook mine apart and would turn it on to check what was spinning or not and inside of mine the clutch seems to fail to engage. It doesn't seem to be a matter of slipping belts. The white wheel that one of the belts goes around does not seem to engage
Hmmmm... Have you tried to remove the clutch and take it apart? I think I show that in the video when Im changing the belts out... They do sell a new clutch for around $40 that already has the new belts installed in it.... At least it was $40 a few months ago, I haven't checked recently.
Did the dc17 die?
No it still works..
Wow, a lot for a dang brush
Lol..... IKR...
This is not simple at all. No way I could get it all back together.
Simple is relative! I'm sure you can do plenty of things that you think are simple but I do not... 😊
You’re capable, if you can turn a screwdriver…just be patient and pause video as u go! I just did it in 10 minutes…u can do it!
