The one combat move I rarely see people figure out is rolling. It feels very underused, even by the speedrun community. Firing any gun during a roll will auto-aim at the closest enemy in melee range. This makes the roll a really good tool to dodge / gain distance and counter-attack. This is most useful with the Scattergun. If you are too close to a fast and weak enemy which is starting their attack animation, you can roll sideways or backwards and shoot to dodge and kill them. An even better example is the Krew fight. The auto-aim allows you to dodge-roll and counter-attack without moving the camera. The camera moves pretty slow and being able to aim and kill something off camera saved my butt a lot of times. The Krew fight is a circle so you constantly need to move the camera around to prevent enemies from ambushing you but this can result in getting attacked from the other side after turning the camera around. Turning the camera is always a risk. With the roll, you can focus on the main direction enemies come from and kill singular enemies from the other direction without losing sight of the main enemy group. This even works during a roll-jump. You can roll-jump towards an enemy and shoot before the animation ends. This is useful because enemies are unable to react fast enough to attack you if you started rolling outside of their attack range. Though I would only risk it if you know one shot kills, otherwise you end up right in front of them, ready to get attacked yourself.
@@powercellzekestreams1295 I have one thing to say about your video it got me to try and play the Jak games differently really experience every thing the game had to offer
@@Rocket-wn9kc that is ultimately what my goal was with the original video, and I am proud of the fact that a lot of fans changed up their play style and had more fun with the game because of it. But I've had issues with how I approached the video for a long time, which is why I decided to address them
