Drummer is on point. Band is hot. Great wah-wah. Leah is a rock star.
Leah's enthusiasm for that music is contagious! And Hayford really put his soul into those drums!
Leah ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I'm proud of every single one of those kids,! But Leah rocks my world.
That little kid on the drums was too much, he really put his soul into it! I really enjoyed the whole show.
Leah gets what Jimi was about and it shows in her playing of his music!!
R Rockwell. And more importantly she doesn't add to it! Like alot of adult male imitators putting their crappy modern spin on it.
the ferocious expression on the young man ,drummer at 1:46 is evidence of a truley great musician in the making,,,
and again at 2:52
Young lady did Jimi proud!
So, first, I especially love the videos where the older kids are having a blast, because that's contagious for the younger kids - like this one. And second, I love watching Leah's expression change consistently from being really serious when she's playing lead to grinning hugely when she's singing. I saw Hendrix play live. He would have enjoyed this.
Leah is a great performer. She has a huge knowledge of the classic rock riffs and lyrics!!
It IS nice to see the younger players learning the trade!!!
Girl playing lead is good!
Leah, awesome as always. Kudos to the drummer. Great job all.
Great job guys! This is a difficult song to cover!
The band is great.... the drummer is off the hook!!!!!!
I just recently discovered the difference between Fender and Gibsen guitars and glad to see most of these are Fender with only one Gebsen.
U go girl Leah...
Leah Stevenson she smoking on lead guitar and Vocals:🤟
I love this.....everyone did a wonderful job in particular the lead gutarist/singe and drummer.
I love the expressions on the drummer's face! He cracks me up!! Leah is a phenominal guitarist and she can sing too!!!

Great stuff. Thanks.

Great job! Love this!
Das macht Ihr ganz toll, ja einfach Super, erinnert mich an meine erste Jugendband, also nicht unterkriegen lassen, die Riffs und Solis sind so gut und perfekt, also weiter so ....
Great job!!
That's a wide spread of ages up there, I often wonder how School of Rock decides 'Who-goes-in-What-Team?" It's obviously not based on age, so is it based on experience? Auditions? Anyone? It was fun watching them have fun, and rare that we see a woman as lead singer and lead guitarist. But nice.
The School of Rock's "Performance Program" is open to anyone between the ages of 8 and 18. During regular season shows like this one (which was Dylan cover versions) any kid can get into most shows. Occasionally, with very technically demanding music, the Show Director will restrict the cast to only the most skilled - but the goal is also to challenge the young musicians to play more difficult parts. They try to get at least one very experienced kid in each show, and they serve as mentors for the younger and/or less experienced musicians (not always the same thing) and as assistant directors.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2That’s a great comment explaining the process thanks 3 years late lol.

What other videos does this singer appear in? She''s got quite the personality.
She was in Heart, New Wave, Fleetwood Mac, Femme Fatale, Green Day, Glam Rock, Punk, Pink Floyd, Live Aid and a production of Tommy - so you can see these kids get a wide variety of music to work on.
Are there other videos on youtube with her singing/playing guitar? What do I search for to find these videos?
She was on the School of Rock AllStars Team 1 last year. I have several videos on this channel, including Soundgarden's "Jesus Christ Pose".
One of my favorite moments in her School of Rock "career" was during the LiveAid show. Her harmonica popped out of it's holder just as she was going to play it - so she *sang* the harmonica part instead. I have those DVDs on my web site now, identified as at the "Famous T-Shirt Shop" (I got a lawyer letter about using the name of the Famous T-Shirt Shop.)
Leah should be out of college now. Somebody said she’s a great athlete as well. @nybody know if she joined a band or anything. Loved the drummers face.
Love to see girls playing rock. When I was growing up, it was not encouraged (like girls who wanted to get into math and science) - not ladylike or something.
I just shot seven shows by the School of Rock AllStars - the very best musicians in the program. And half of the best players are young women. It's a wonderful thing, and is going to change the face of Rock music.
1500000 people playing guitar and the only black guy on stage is playing the drums during a Jimi Hendrix song....alrighty then
And one messed up comment dragging racism into a high school band. You should be ashamed.
