She has Jimi in her blood, dammit. What a mesmerizing talent. BRAVO. Also love her shirt and scarf. That girl put a spell on me.
I saw Hendrix in concert. She's having more fun than he did. That's impressive.

Saw Jimi in the winter of 68 or 69 at Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa. Most of these kids parents probably weren’t even born by then.
My Psychic called me and told me that Jimi saw the video while hanging out in the bar and he was impressed
For the love of Jimi, we salute you
Jimi lives on within our hearts and our soul . 😎
Lead guitarist Leah Stevenson was just selected as a School of Rock AllStar for a second time, and her dad bought their own location, West Chicago. She'll be teaching there, passing Rock and Roll along to the next generation, in her turn.
MidWest Concert Video All the best of luck to her 😎🎸Rock on Leah🤘
That is just unbelievable.
I love this girl she badass
Bravo to0 Leah Stevenson for even attempting to repeat what Jimi Hendrix did!
Leah is using a Fender Telecaster, which is just a step down from a Stratacaster. She's getting all it has out of it!!!
And so is the Nintendo kid!!
@@ronaldrockwell8549 look again dude,,shes playing a strat or more likely a strat someone built for her. That's no telly
@@ronaldrockwell8549 Sure, a Telecaster with three single coil pickups *eyeroll*
OMG!!! I can't believe what I am hearing!! FANTASTIC!!!
U c the amount of fun these kids r having that's what it's all about thank u kids /mikejohn
Old is Gold. Does my heart good to see this. Great job.
So refreshing.
Holy crap! That was good!
Just insanely great!! Leah is a fantastically endowed musician. I pray that she is as great a teacher as she is a performer so she can ably assist in keeping the greatest music genre ever created cruising on into eternity.
love the jimmie hendrix version of the song…. beautiful to me……. and this is a cool redention of it...
This young lady is something else!! Really good!
Jimi would be proud. Great set.
This lady is great! Thank you!
WOW WOW that's awesome!! Encore 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😲😲😲
Leah Stevenson I love your great performance, your voice and your cool sweet smile .. YEAH 🙂 Best wishes from germany
that was really really cool and so much fun to watch
They're EPIC!
Leah's a superstar!!!
F__KING Amazing . Love. Great Job.
Doesn’t get any more fun than that.
Leah is so talented and pretty. What a great video!!
Not sure why this showed up in my recommendations other than I listen to a lot of music. However it showed up I'm glad it did. This was a fantastic performance. She was having a blast and that is part of what music is about. Having fun and enjoying it.
Leah Stevenson is always a joy to watch. She's off at college now, but when she's done her parents bought their own School of Rock franchise, so she'll be able to teach and pass that joy along.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 That's awesome!!
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 Screw that! Put her on a world tour. She could sell out stadiums!
I am SO impressed!
She shredded that!!! Class.
Jimmy would be proud. Thank You!
Incredible!!!
And having fun!
Amazing 😙😎
I love this girl!! Have you seen the video Never Been Any Reason?? She owns it! I teach a Music Business class at a Jr College in California, and I showed that video in my class last week, citing that this is how joyous live performing should be. My students were really impressed. I hope she has a long and prosperous career….she deserves it!
Her parents bought their own School of Rock franchise location, so that when she graduates from college, she will be teaching, and spreading the joy.
She even put it the TAPS which some cover leave out. Good job.
Hell, she did the part where she played with her teeth!
way cool!!
PROPS!!!
I was listening to this tune before you were born!
I've been trying to play it, prolly as long as you've been around...
in my basement...not in front of an audience...
GO GIRL! :)
Waouuuuuuuu!! Terrific!!!!!!!
she fuckin KILLED IT!
well well...this is good!!! greetings from europe.
Simplemente espectacular y es una mujerrrrrrrrr. Que diría Hendrix?? Saludos de Chile
Did jimi come back as a young lady rocker?
Glad to see Leah is still in the action....
Good stuff keep keeping on
very impressive
Leah!! Sign my guitarrr!!!
TO LEAH STEVENSON-YOU ARE A VERY TALENTED AND BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY-I THINK YOU AND YOUR GROUP DID A SUPERB JOB ON THOSE JIMI HENDRIX-ONLY THING IS THEY SHOULD HAVE LET YOU SING, SEEMS LIKE THEY ADDED HENDRIX'S VOICE ON PURPLE HAZE
She.. did sing? What are you on about?
Well I'm in love. She stole my heart!!
welcome to the club.
Drummer does a great job “having her back”.
That brought back a lot of Woodstock memories! Leah Stevenson really put her soul into that one. I watch a lot of these "School of Rock" performances. Many of them suck, but this one was good. Really Good, I watched it at least ten times. After a while, I just had to turn it off, because I realized that she had totally invaded my soul, and I'm not used to having somebody else with that level of control over me. Listening to her is like overdosing on acid, without having to actually take the drug. If you don't believe me, just listen to how she grabbed that audience and made them scream. How many musicians do you know who can shake their audience like that down to their bones? With all that talent, I would love to see her take it to the next level and see what kind of music she is capable of writing by herself. And congratulations to the rest of the band that backed her up, especially that drummer....
32K views so far, and half of them were from me!
I would like to give more thumbs up, but when I do that my previous is deleted...
It would be fun to watch the rockin students do a "27 Club" inspired concert.
saintⓋearth i
saintⓋearth The Evanston school did a few years back.
Long live ROCK baby!
NICE ! >> Good Job !
These kids are having a rockin' good time. Looks like they're having fun! How is it that they have better instruments than I do? They're playing Fender Stratocasters and Gibson SG's.
If a kid is 18 and has been playing since they were 8 years old, it makes sense for their parents to invest in a quality instrument.
😲🎸👏🏾
OMG Leah Stevenson,,,I stinkin' LOVE you! Marry me?💍 that was pretty damned amazing. I've been waiting all my life for a woman that could play like Mr. Jimi. Hope your favorite flavor isn't cherry red. The teeth too lol
Bad Ass
You mean Francis Scott Key, he wrote the Star Spangled Banner, not Jimi Hendrix. 🇺🇸
Fair enough, I'll edit it.
When, what class or year?
I'm not worthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you gonna post Voodoo Child from this show ?
If I sell 10 copies of the DVD, I'll put the whole show up. I try to get at least one video with everyone who was in the show so folks can see how good the quality is. I have to remind folks - I am NOT paid by the School to be there, and am doing this entirely on spec and the only payment I get is via DVD sales. At this point, I have sold two DVDs.
Is that the School of Rock symbol on the drummer's shirt? I've seen it on the wall behind the teams before.
I've never seen that one associated with School of Rock before.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 OK, I wonder what it really stands for??
Relley good💰💰💰🌲🌲🌲🔔🪕🪕🪕
No fuckin way!
tell me jimmie isnt in heaven smiling and saying cooooool, .....yeh man!
edit the only thing missing i can see is a flipped neck guitar
I've only seen a couple of left-handed guitarists learning at the School of Rock, and most of them were able to find left-handed guitars, unlike Jimi.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 nobody said left hand guitarist...flipped neck adds stage presence...the student did great!!
i have a guitar with a left neck on it, somebody gave it to me in pieces and i did it for the heck of it...fun thing!
i bought Frankenstat kit and just stained it.
Ah, I know what you mean. There's this one kid with a guitar from Fender's "pawn shop" line that has a different style head, with the machines pointing down. Always thought that looks so much more comfortable to adjust.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 the young lady jammin hendrix, finds her mojo and gigs one night doing hendrix with a flipped guitar and finds herself on the label of a recording. I really like watching these kids play. the rules have changed and today there re no rules.....alex told ed that guitar looks ridiculous, AND now for the rest of the story! lol
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 pawn shop is missleading that is a premier line of instruments, dual coil teles and strats ...not cheap stuff
You know your hair is too long when you have to brush it out the way to play your guitar! LOL
Uh huh huh huh huh...69!🤟😝🇺🇲🦅👌#KMAAKH
Feel the notes, not play them.....then you will understand what Jimi was conveying at Woodstock.
Every no talent troll is a critic!! They're all awesome!! Jackhole!!
But she is holding the guitar the wrong direction. Hendrix was left handed 😉
Honestly I've only seen a couple of left-handed guitarists in the _School of Rock._ And definitely none of them playing a re-strung right-handed guitar.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 That would be a nice touch for a of handed guitar player 😀
Well, um. YEAH. The Vietnam war was over, so I guess, as a protest redition, besides homage, this could be, could be, should be anti-capitalistlism.
Better than yourtelica.
Whos the babe
Leah does a great job of copying Jimi Hendrix
Even down to picking strings with her teeth!
Marry me!...
Or just make me a sandwich or something like that idk🤷♂️
