Great vid as always, thanks Nick. I'm a huge fan of Token Action Maker. One supplement to that is making a macro named TA with the simple command "!ta pc" and checking the 'show as token action' box. That way every token has a quick TA pop-up when you click it, saving you a bit of typing. Nice for when you are dragging a bunch of things on to the map. Additionally, if you change the game settings to Roll Attack and Damage (or other master settings) and want to apply those to already existing tokens, you can go to My Settings > Miscellaneous > Apply Default Settings and that will force those changes globally to an existing game. This can take a little time, but it's been a life-saver for me in the past, so a potential tip to your viewers. Keep up the great work!
Love the way you open a video! Kermit the Frog: "HI everyone!" Darth Vader: "I'm Nick Olivo" Well, that's how it sounds in my ears anyway! 😆 Another great video and awesome tips. Can't wait to add the token action maker script! That's gonna be super helpful! And *A* *DYNAMIC* *LIGHTING* *LAYER* *BUTTON* *!* You don't know how glad I am to find out about that!! Thank you so much for all you do for the Roll20 player community. Please keep doing what you're doing!
@@NickOlivo and of course I mean no offense whatsoever by it! I just think it sounds neat the way your voice starts with that cheery lilt, and then dips downs into "serious news caster". I like it. It puts a smile on my face and hope it does others as well.
Great tips as always! My players are grateful all the ways you've made their game experience better and smoother. I'm a pretty novice coder, but I was able to scour the help files to add some utility to your *EXCELLENT* tip about having the character sheet action perform rolls automatically. It's going to speed things up for us tremendously. Thanks for bringing the work to the people.
Always awesome videos as always Nick, thanks for the time you take for this. Do you know if this script generally behaves well with some of the common ones in the Roll20 library, or if there are some that collide with each other? Just want to make sure i don't go too crazy loading things on my end if they are known to behave badly with each other. Thank you!
@@NickOlivo For actions on NPC sheets under the box you enter the description/info for the action you get a single "row/box" to fill in a damage roll and damage type. Good for keeping the description of the ability intact and you get the damage made by the ability at the top of the chat box so it's easier to find.
@@kilter9903 Sadly only for Actions and Bonus Actions (Just checked to be sure). I would love to have it on Legendary actions as well, for those legendary actions that forces saves and the like. Would also like it for some traits like sneak attack for the assassin stat block, so I don't have to make a new action for that. I know I could add it to the attack actions but not all attacks benefit from sneak attack.

Well, I wasn't going for a Kermit/Darth crossover, but you know, I kinda like that :) Glad the videos have been helpful. Happy gaming!

This is Awesome Thank you Nick! love your videos, very useful stuff and well explained thanks!

With token action maker, try !sortta to put actions first for NPCs, easier to find attacks if the creature has a lot of traits.
Great tip, Nicolae!
Thank you! That Token Action Maker is a life saver.
Yeah, it's one of my favorite mods.
Another Great Video Nick! If you don't work for Roll20, you should! lol . I have learned more from you than the website itself.

Glad it was helpful, Steven! I've never had issues with this script, so you should be good to go. Happy gaming!
Whoa, Token Action Maker might be the best thing that's ever happened in the world.
That pro account option is amazing! You might’ve tempted me to get a pro account. LOL
It is pretty slick! Happy gaming!
What are some top 5 scripts that you would suggest adding to a campaign?
I'd say the ones I always add are TurnMarker1, TokenMod, ChatSetAttr, GroupInitiative and Apply Damage.
Do macros update when PC levels up or do I need to go through the process again to update the calculations?
If you've copy & pasted the actions like what was shown with Eldritch Blast, then you would need to recreate them when your character leveled up.
Brilliant!
Can't you just add the damage to the damage section listed at the bottom of the action
I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand where you're referring to. Could you elaborate, please?

I believe the damage and damage type boxes are there for all actions but not traits. Right under the description box as stated.

I use !TA all the time.
It's one of my must-have mods, right up there with Token-Mod and Group-Init.
