Nick: Image macro.

This went from "Captain Obvious" to "I can show you the world" real quick.
Thank you, sir.

These are amazing! I can't believe that after 4 years of using Roll 20 I didn't know them. Going to greatly improve my games!
Glad you found it helpful!
New DM here. Hosted 3 sessions so far. This single video may be the most valuable one I've watched to date. Had to stop half way through to find a note pad so I can add all these shortcuts to my DM board until I memorize them. EPIC. THANK YOU
Shift Z works, that great, I didn't know about that, and sticking pictures in the GM layer is way way way easier than making a handout
Note: You don't have to right click to leave a waypoint for the movement tracking, you can just press Q again.
Cool, good to know, thanks!
The reverse is also true, you can right click instead of pressing Q the first time, to get an arrow coming from your starting position.
Awesome video, thanks!
That shift+a thing to show players images.. that’s next level so glad to have come across this. This will help me build subpar maps because I’ve been struggling trying to make them perfect and it’s taking way more time than i need it to
Shift+Z*** freaking auto correct
Glad it was helpful! Happy gaming!
Great job with the video. Useful info, well edited, short and sweet. Keep um coming. I just found you a couple of days ago and will spread the word.
This was a tremendously helpful video. I'm in the process of learning roll20 while actively DMing a new game type (new to me at least, its SotDL) on it, so with all the research I'm having to do weekly, I love that theres super quick vids like this to show critical things I'd need to know.
Such a simple but great macro. Thanks a lot! I've been cutting all that text out and moving it to the DM notes of the sheets and that could get pretty tedious.
This video is so good. I've just started using roll20 and this was probably the most valuable stuff I learned so far (aside from dynamic lighting). Thank you!
Man, those shortcuts are simply amazing. Thank you good sir for sharing, and thank you UA-cam algorithm for showing up relevant content every once in a while :)
Nick, great video and your presentation skills are fantastic - clear, concise, and easily formatted to share with players which is great. Get ready to have all of your other videos watched at least 3-5 times each!
Thanks for the kind words, Stephen!
I am just starting off as a GM, and on Roll 20, and these really helped me. Thank you!!
This is the best Roll20 video out there, I have 900 hours on the site and I didn't know these. So many ideas spring to mind with every shortcut
I love the tip for shift z used for showing atmosphere to players!
Without a doubt, the single best and most useful Roll20 tutorial I have found (so far).
Even with this being a year old I always learn several tips from any your videos. They are clear and easy to follow. Well done!
This channel is the gift that keeps on giving.
Just got back into roll20 so my group can still play. And these will be extremely useful. Thank you very much!
That image display macro is a game-changer for me. Thank you!
Man! The image macro, alt+double click, and the X key bit were awesome! Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
Just come across this video. Thank you very much sir!! This is a game changer. My turn to DM next and I’m now a lot more confident! 😊
Amazing! thank you, I've been using roll20 for years and didn't know half of these. So useful!!!
AWESOME video, man! Love it.
Much-needed and great demonstration.
This video has been very helpful thank you! I'm just starting Roll20 this week.
That show image macro is really usefull, I'm stealing it! :D
I just started using roll20, all I can say is thank you. Have a sub
Bro this was so helpful. Thanks man. Ill definitly be using these at the next session
You're welcome! Have fun!
This will literally change my game for the better. Thanks!
More useful every time I watch it!! Great job. Thank you so much.
Dude, I've looked through shortcuts in roll20 but either didn't see or pick up on many of these. Alt-dbl click - Going to be a HUGE time saver.
An excellent video - will be sharing to other GMs I know.
The image macro is amazing! You enter it from the Collections tab in the top-right. One thing I was concerned with was if the images have to already be uploaded within Roll20, and I am happy to note this is not the case - so long as the image address is from a non-password-protected site, it will post to the chat. Double bonus, if the players click on the image in chat, it will open the image in a new tab for them ^_^
Cool, I didn't realize that!
Yo, that shrinking the character sheet is amazing. Running combat gets so annoying with 3-4 different monster stat blocks up at once. This is gonna make it so much better.
I know a ton of people have said it but damn that mood shot is so great. Cheers man. New sub.
Thanks Nick, the macro tip was super useful.
Thank you! These are amazing tips, they will improve my game ALOT!
This is great stuff sir! I'm so sorry it took me so long to learn this stuff. Thank you for all of the videos. I've got a lot of catch up to do now.

I want to see you DM a game in roll20 and watch the magin unfold. Awesome series man, criminally underrated/underviewed.
Very nice video to either refresh one's memory or utterly discover Roll20 ^^'

Thank you SO SO Much!
Thanks I’m new to Roll 20, You have a new Subscriber
Just found this vid, and I'm SO happy to learn about the Q trick!!!!!
Glad you liked it! Happy gaming!
Thank you!
very, very helpful
You can also use Shift + scroll wheel to move side to side on the map.
Great video!
Amazing! Thanks!)
Yo this is awesome!
super helpful thanks
Thanks for the tips, I had no idea you could use X to review movement, that's super helpful! I knew most of the rest, but I'll definitely give the image macro a try, I usually hide images on the map that I use shift+Z to show to players but a lot of the time they claim I'm "jumpscaring" them, or it will interrupt them while they're scrolling around the map
Glad it was helpful! Happy gaming!
I didn't know ANY of this 😂thank you so much! subscribed :)
Glad it was helpful! Happy gaming!
Thanks Nick,I like to play RPGs this way
Thank you
Brilliant and thanks
Thank you.
Thank you!!!!
Great work again! Sorry if I am spamming you today but I just found out about your channel and I am really grateful you did all those incredibly useful videos!
Glad the vids are helpful! Happy gaming!
Your content is great. I really learned some neat things here, but could you maybe mention when it's 5E exclusive stuff?
thanks!
I had a visceral reaction to the shift click on the token oh my God thanks
OMG thank you. I have over shitton of hours in roll20 and never knew about double click or players attention drag. But I believe ctrl+L don't help with GM layout though.
Omg this is so helpful its always annoying when I move maps and no one can find their tokens. now i can just drag them straight to them.
Roll 20 really needs to add a good tutorial instead of just a link to the wiki and a middle finger.
This is awesome because:
1. It's so helpful
2. It's the first UA-cam video I have ever seen with 0 dislikes
