It's like listening to music being fired at you through a machine gun, and when it stops,it takes your brain a few seconds to recuperate from it. Loved Lemmy's voice!
The ultimate take-no-prisoners band was formed by the late Ian 'Lemmy' Kilminster, who wanted to call it 'Bastard' but couldn't get away with it. He got away with much else though. The man who lived his life by deafening music, vast consumption and 'carnal knowledge of women on five continents' was too rock and roll even for the notorious Ladbroke Grove scene in London, where he was a member of the alt-hippie rock outfit 'Hawkwind' (singing on their biggest UK hit, the relentless 'Silver Machine'). Excessively loud at all times, the band once received a phone call during a soundcheck, from a man five miles away - complaining he couldn't hear his TV over them...
"We are Motorhead and we play Rock and Roll". Welcome to Lemmy Kilmeister's Motorhead! Speed and Blues combined into Something we really don't have a name for.... Lemmy personally was responsible for helping up hundreds of aspiring musicians, really seemed to have a great time helping younger bands 'get there'... now, you GOTTA listen to anything from "Orgasmatron"...... or hopefully my personal favorite Motorhead tune "Limb From Limb".... spreading thighs from Here to There..... Dr Rock! lol!
Lemmy is legend. 💜💜💜 There’s a documentary from 2010 about him simply called, “Lemmy”. It’s definitely worth watching. He was an incredibly intense and lovable legend. 💜💜💜
This is my favorite song by them , because I think it epitomizes Lemmy's actual approach to life. And it is just all "full speed ahead". Which is also fitting , since "motorhead" is an old term for a speed freak - an amphetamine user or junkie , uppers.
got his autograph back in the 90s will always remember it as Lemmy was in a dinner signed my autograph he was drinking jack from the bottle and a young lady was doing things with her mouth under the table true rock legend
Seen them at Le' More East in Queens New York. Couldn't hear for 3 days. The whole building was vibrating. My Heart was on a rythmic Jolt. Never have I felt that and probably never again, unless someone Jolts me back to life on a Difib, machine AED. Crazy freakin night.
R.I.P. Lemmy. 💖 Motorhead played this song in, "The Young Ones", on the episode, "Bambi." It was a British comedy show that aired on MTV in the US in the 80's. A show who's popularity grew through word of mouth. And tjis eas before the world wide web. ✌❤🌹
Here's a little story for you Back when I went to rock concerts on a regular basis, it was pretty common for rockers to stick their heads in the bass bins. At Motorhead concerts there would be a space around the bins -- they were just that loud. So loud you actually felt their music as well as heard it. And they played like this for an hour plus... no let up, no slow down. Just pure noise.
Priceless reaction! I loved it thankyou. i remember Motorhead hitting the scene and me buying the Ace of Spades album off another kid at school, vinyl of course.
What else can be said about Uncle Lemmy ?... He was a force of nature ! ... just stepped up to the mic, threw his head back with it aimed straight down the throat and just let all the awesomeness that is Lemmy erupt forth like a sonic volcano !
We are Motörhead and we play Rock n Roll. Lemmy was, is and always will be a legend. He is the front man that all other front men look at in awe. Many a band was started after hearing Motörhead and fun fact of the day is that Lemmy was once a roadie for Jimi Hendrix. Overkill should definitely be one for you to do in the future.
Speed metal in its early days. Lemmy lived hard and fast. Life on his terms. Party time. Made it to 70. The man. "I don't want to live forever" Fast Eddie Clark on guitar, Philty Animal Taylor on drums. Awesome.
Many summers ago, I caught motorhead in a club getting ready to play, and a sound tech was tweaking the soundboard to get all the levels just right.. once he thought he was finished, someone from their crew walked over, shoved everything as far up as it could go and just walked away. One of the most rock n roll things I ever saw. 🤣
Impact, creativity and originality. Everything missing with today's music. Try Robbie Robertson - Somewhere down that crazy river. Manu Katche on drums the only one who managed to put a beat to that song.
One of the originals. This was the best version of Motorhead. Three Badass players shredding it up. Rest in Peace to my cousin Lemmy. Rest in Peace {Philty Animal} Taylor Rest in Peace "Fast" Eddie Clark
"GOOD EVENING!!! Here we F***ING are again!!! ... in case you're at the wrong show by mistake, we are Motorhead, and we are going to clean your clock!" -- from Live At Brixton, 2000
I think that, to at least some extent, all these rock gods are basically striking a pose... Showing you a stage persona. Lemmy showed us Lemmy. He was exactly what you see... badass as they come , in your face, 24 hour party animal, and utterly , completely the genuine article. Not always to my taste (although this is a classic), but you gotta love him. I tell you, if he went to hell when he died, the devil SHOULD be terrified ! :-)
Really glad I got to see them live opening for Foo Fighters about 10 years ago. (Also really glad they didn’t have the Jumbotron on, so I didn’t have to get a closer look at Lemmy! Lol
I really hope that you'll dive deeper into the Motorhead rabbit hole and do more reactions to their music. There's soooooo many great songs in their catalog to do reactions to. 1916 is a great song that reflects on WW1 and the experience of a soldier in the trenches.
..and just: to anyone who are wondering : He was a guitar tec for Jimi Hendrix before He got His own career. And He always Loved "brown girls" . And His Last girlfriend was Afro-American. ( I hope I do NOT offend anyone! ..English is not my native language! ..greeetings from Norway :)
This is a LEGIT song ! Like you accurately described, it don't let up for a second. ... and it was reality for these guys... "Live Fast. Die Hard. Play Rock and Roll !" That's what it was like for the entire band... both iterations of the band. All those guys in this video have passed away. But this song was really reality... well for Lemmy, the singer/bassist at least. I don't know if anybody has said it but Lemmy's real name is Ian Fraser Kilmister, but he got the name Lemmy, as the story goes, while in high school and he was kinda addicted to the One-Arm Bandit machines and he used to say to everybody, "Lemmy a fiver 'til payday" LOL So like I say, this song is LEGIT
All their songs are short and... Well they aren't sweet, but they are all straight forward rock and roll! RIP all three of these badasses of Rock. Lemmy Kilmeister, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor! They are all missed!
"The most intense 3 minutes of my life" Now that is Motorhead in a nutshell lol
How die Lemmy himself describe It ?
The Third World War into a Phone Booth.

“Everything louder than everything else” RIP Lemmy
true I'm still a bit deaf from them
We Are The Road Crew is an essential Motorhead cut. Lemmy used to be a roadie for Jimi Hendrix.
100% with Overkill.
Lemmy was a Monster😁He's what a Harley would sound like, if could sing
It's like listening to music being fired at you through a machine gun, and when it stops,it takes your brain a few seconds to recuperate from it. Loved Lemmy's voice!
RIP Lemmy. You are so missed. Thank you Jayy for another awesome video as always!

"We are Motorhead. We play rock and roll."
I heard this song for the first time recently and wasn't let down either. It's good.
Rock in Peace Lemmy, Eddie and Phil.

Love Motorhead!!!
You would enjoy their cover of Bowie's Heroes!
got his autograph back in the 90s will always remember it as Lemmy was in a dinner signed my autograph he was drinking jack from the bottle and a young lady was doing things with her mouth under the table true rock legend
Love Motorhead. I saw this classic line up live 3 times in the early 80's. Man they were so freakin' LOUD!
Think this Motorhead song is intense? "Overkill" will melt your brain. Especially the live version from 2004.
I just had to see your reaction to this. There has never been, and will never be a band like Motorhead.
Aww man i remember rockin out to this in a dive bar in town. The best memories!
"1916" will bring you to tears.
Brilliant reaction. Lemmy would've loved the flowers around the frame. it would've brought a chuckle.
sad that all members of that line up are now rocking the shit outta heaven rip fella's
Lem 🖤. Saw many of their concerts. Best live band....ever.
That was Motorhead. They play Rock and roll.
Lemmy just straight up playing the bass like it's a lead guitar. What a legend.
... And it has such a KICK A$$ solid ending too... A MASTERPIECE !
Saw them once in 1995, small venue in Germany. I was right in front of Lemmy's 'Dies Irae' amp. My ears were ringing for three days straight...
Grand Daddies of metal. Rest in Peace Lemmy!! You ARE the MAN!
You’re right, Jayy. This song gets right to it. Ace of Spades is a song with no foreplay and goes straight to the A.

Lived to a decent age did Lemmy, considering he used drink a bottle of vodka for breakfast everyday ....true story.
What else can be said about Uncle Lemmy ?... He was a force of nature !
... just stepped up to the mic, threw his head back with it aimed straight down the throat and just let all the awesomeness that is Lemmy erupt forth like a sonic volcano !
The absolute rocker and a very intelligent gentleman too 🤘
Love how you check out different genres of music, and give honest reactions
Funny to see flowers around Motörhead ,what a concept!😄🤣💃
We are Motörhead and we play Rock n Roll.
Lemmy was, is and always will be a legend. He is the front man that all other front men look at in awe.

"This is everything" ... ha! so True!
Do their song Overkill next, it's amazing
I love the reactions to this song.
Motorhead is a song he sang when he was with hawkwind in the uk, so when needing a band name he called his band that .
Speed metal in its early days. Lemmy lived hard and fast. Life on his terms. Party time. Made it to 70. The man. "I don't want to live forever" Fast Eddie Clark on guitar, Philty Animal Taylor on drums. Awesome.
This is the real MOTORHEAD BEST LINE UP...NOBODY TOUCHED PHIL IN HIS DAY FASTEST AND HARDEST DRUMMER THAT EVER LIVED BY FAR...
YES YES YES! I’m paying attention to this because I love this song
"His voice has like a rustic sound to it and I LOOOVE it" LOL
Many summers ago, I caught motorhead in a club getting ready to play, and a sound tech was tweaking the soundboard to get all the levels just right.. once he thought he was finished, someone from their crew walked over, shoved everything as far up as it could go and just walked away. Very cool reaction!! I've seen a lot of reactions to this but yours is one of the better ones
British heavy rock at its best. We've always been the greatest.
I was near the front in one of there concerts, I had ringing in my ears for a couple of days. 😂👍
Your reaction was spot on. So true about blasting it out every time it comes on.
All three of these gentlemen have now passed on. God bless Motörhead, we will never see the likes of them again
"We are Motorhead and we play Rock and Roll." 🤟
"Seatbacks in the upright and locked position. Lap-belts secure. Hold on tight."
Great song. Try Painkiller by Judas Priest. Saw Priest, Motorhead and Alice Cooper forget name of tour but what a night.
It punches you in the face for 3 & a half minutes-one of the greatest pop songs ever.
I ALWAYS LOVED AVE OF SPADE!!@
One of the originals. This was the best version of Motorhead. Three Badass players shredding it up.
Rest in Peace to my cousin Lemmy.
Rest in Peace {Philty Animal} Taylor
Rest in Peace "Fast" Eddie Clark
Lemmy used to describe Motorhead as the kind of band that; if they moved in to the house next to yours, your lawn would die.
I never thought Motorhead framed by a flowery background would work. Oddly enough I was wrong. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you, the louder the better, 😊
You need to see the video of the song called, “The Brotherhood of Man”. It has to be the video with the Biker Clubs.
The drummer once actually broke his neck. He recovered after surgery and rehab and got back behind the drums when he was able to.

Fantastic response! This album brought Metal heads and punks together.
R.I.P Lemmy, Philthy and Fast Eddie aka Motorhead
Overkill live full HD is the title of the next video of theirs you should check out. They were a force of nature live when Lemmy was fit and well.
RIP these gods. Phil. Eddie. Lem.

Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister, "Fast" Eddie Clarke and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor...
... 'nuff said...
Lemmy Kilmeister. The coolest man on Earth, even in the grave. I believe he will rise for the right bass solo.
You've just been smacked in the face by Motorhead!
Brilliant reaction
RIP Lemmy a true gent and sorely missed.
Thanks for doing this motorhead reaction, for the next one can you do The Game?
This is a LEGIT song ! Like you accurately described, it don't let up for a second.

My ears took a week to recover after a Motörhead gig late 70s in Wigan #hellotinnitus
Motorhead were the BEST PERIOD
Dr. Rock is one of my favorites.
Ace of Spade the card of death. The only one you need.
