  • The Blue Security program is an Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade-funded program that focuses on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia.
    It is a partnership between:
    - La Trobe Asia (www.latrobe.ed...)
    - Griffith Asia Institute (www.griffith.e...)
    - UWA Defence Security Institute (defenceuwa.com...)
    - UNSW Canberra Maritime Security Research Group (www.unsw.adfa....)
    - Asia-Pacific Development, Diplomacy & Defence Dialogue (AP4D) (www.asiapacifi...)
The Program aims to build networks among maritime security experts across the region. There are a multitude of intersecting and interacting issues that impact the maritime domain. On top of that each country has its own maritime security interests and perspectives. Such challenges require integrated and coordinated strategies.
