Build the walls from right to left to fix your problem with snapping, kitchen cabinet

This is still new and Andrew was working pretty hard to get it released, so expect it to be a little buggy early on for now. That said, its probably the best interior modeler for me personally just based on how powerful it is and how easy it is to use.
Have only started messing around with the walls and i am already in love! Thank you so much for sharing! I am still very much a noob to Blender, having only been using it for a few months. Can manually make a low poly model and have used the built in Archimesh but this seems leagues ahead and looks like you can end up with some pretty high quality lay outs. And hopefully learn a lot more with Blender in general using it! Look forward to watching more of your vids! Thank you again! Cheers!

Thank you for the great tutorials. I got a problem, with adding doors and so on, everytime I click on a door to move it to the walls, I got a error on it. I can`t add anything to my 4 walls and floor. I have followed your video. Do you had any problem with this ? or have any suggestions to what to do. I have windows 10 and no error on installing the blender or addon. everything is fine. I also enabled the phyton, so I have all the products, but I can`t add them to my building. I have also selected the walls before I try to add. I will go back to 2.4 and the simple version of it for now. I am a newbe and still learning, but thanx to your videos I have come very far in learning, so thank you for your videos.

If someone has this cabinets placed outside the wall problem - just make sure your measure line is outside when you draw the wall, then their whole orientation will be just fine.
Good stuff! If anyone else didn't immediately understand what the measure line is, it is the thin gray line visible next to the wall when you build it. If you build the room clockwise, I think you'll be good.

hello when I click on the piece of furniture it is impossible to have the menu to modify it?
At 8.00 minutes - the reason the cabinet is snapping to the outside of the room is because walls have an inside and outside and so you have to build your room in a clockwise direction. You built this anticlockwise. I didn’t work this out by the way … Andrew mentions it in a video! Good to know though.

I can't close the room properly. The last wall, does not blend the angle with the first wall. 4 wall room. the floor also goes a little further than the walls. I get the developer still working, maybe he'll fix it in further updates. Installation went fine

hi there, I noticed my Blender file started getting so slow after adding so many walls, doors and windows. For this project, I'm working on real scale 1:1. Is that the reason it's slow? I'm afraid I'll have to redo the whole work in a smaller scale. Will that help?

bro the popup menu that you talked about to run python scripts, when I check that checkbox and run it, it closes my complete blender file, and disable the addon when I reopen it again

I've got a problem. When i drag to place a cabinet it doesn't automatically snap to the wall and I can't rotate it properly. Do you have any solutions?

Whenever I try to reload the library, which for me is empty, Blender crashes. When I relaunch blender, the addon is disabled. After enabling the addon again, the library is still empty. Is there something else I have to install? Trying on blender 4 and Home Builder 3. Thank you
HOLY CRAP!!!!!! I made a room, and I am for all points and purposes a blender idiot. Used CAD for 30 years, yeah I'm old, started playing with blender. Looking for a local crack dealer to get me through the learning curve. Saw this and thought, yeah sure let's try it. HOLY CRAP, ok, I've decided the creator can be president of the world, get all the hot chicks, whatever he wants. This is friggin amazing. Like seriously. Ok my room may be a bit moronic, I have a toilet and bath six feet from my kitchen, but I was just trying it. A few false starts, all my fault and then, quick as hell, room, cabinets, floor, lights, doors. Still a huge amount to learn, need to figure out how to get more stuff to put in the rooms, but seriously, get this if you are doing any architecture, if nothing else than for the absolute ease of laying out floors. I did see with massive regret his overlay for blender that made it less of an insane workspace, wish it was still being updated💯
I use floor plans to create dispensary buildouts and the one thing I find frustrating is the ability extrude walls inward to create inner spaces. It always snaps to where the last wall ends. Any thoughts on what I am missing?
yeah, same to me. I think it still doesn't work as well for more complex walls
I can't add furniture in Blender 3.5, the only functionable is draw wall, floor & light room. Is it a bug? 😥

Can this be used for non-right angles and the ability to save/reuse assets? There are towers I'd like to create that are circular so I'd like to make use of that, if it's an option.
I'm not sure if this is the right tool for towers, though I suppose it depends on the kind of towers you're trying to create

Let me start by saying; love the tutorials, that's why I'm a subscriber. I tried to use Homebuilder by I'm getting this error when I try to drag and drop anything "PYTHON ITraceback" and something about a file hb_ops.py.and a bunch of switches. Can you help me figure this out or point me in the right direction to get answers? Thank you for your time.

hey your problem was you can only draw clockwise in homebuilder. if you draw any other way that will happen

This addon has been crushing Blender whenever I try to go to the libraries. The wall component works though. What might I be doing wrong?
I had this too in Blender 4.0+, but it ran fine in 3.6
Doesn't work. I get a trace back notice on installing.

when i click products, about, build, decorations, it crashes blender who closes up itself with no warning and I lost my progress. Even after opening as administrator and having python 3.11 installed.
Most of the addons are broken with the new blender version, try to use it in blender 3.6.5.
i installed this, hit n, got a totally different little menu that shows 1 cabinet, 1 handle, i have no main setup menu. i installed the toybox and home builder library, no idea what i am doing wrong
...the Toybox? I think you might have installed the wrong thing

@@craigmurrayauthor There aren't any libraries on the page that I linked to in the comments, just one file labeled Home Builder 3. I think you went to the wrong page and downloaded and older version or something
@@TheCGEssentials I discovered the stupidity of my ways. Downloaded multiple packages and try to install them all over top each other. I will continue my 3D learning from the short bus. I did notice the toilet goes to the wrong side of the wall

If your Blender keeps crashing when you click on products, its because most of the addons are broken with the new blender version, try to use it in blender 3.6.5
