There is nothing we can do about a patient controlling his or her breathing pattern when they know we are taking their respirations.

Dr. Lee I have a quick questions Do you have to provide the curtain for privacy for blood pressure, pulse, and respirations? Because it does not mention in the credentia handbook we have to provide privacy with the curtain.

Hello, Please review the second bullet point on page 27.
After you have introduced yourself to the client for the first time, it is not necessary for you to introduce yourself each time you begin a new skill.
If a vital sign is your first skill, you will need to provide for privacy. Once you have introduced yourself and provided privacy, you don't need to do it again during the skills exam UNLESS you open the door and leave out.

What does the last step means? “Records respiration rate within pulse or minus 2 breaths of evaluator’s reading”

It means you must be 2 number from what the evaluators get when taking the respiration rate with you.

Hello, If the evaluator gets 16; you need to get between 14 - 18.
Your results must be 2 numbers from the evaluator's results. Two numbers above or below the evaluator's results.

Hello, You will record with the evaluator in the room during the skill exam.

You will record the result before you say I have completed my skill. Look for the documentation paper. Where it is located, that is the place to record. Be sure to wash your hands before documenting.

Hello, The evaluator does not care if the unit of measurement is listed for the respiration skill.
