Dr. Lee Thank you for posting your videos and for going over each step in the Credentia phamplet. I was told I passed my CNA exam that I took on 12/20/2023. Thanks again!
Hi Dr. Lee, looking forward to watching skills #3, #12, #14, #20, #22, and #23. I'm going to take the state exam next month. Your visual explanation helps me a lot.

I walked in that testing room with so much confidence, ( passed on my first try) thank you thank you thank you, I will say tho you don’t have a video of taking Blood Pressure and that was my measurement skill😮 will you make a video of taking Blood Pressure?
Hello, I just checked the 2024 Credentia Guidelines. There is NO mention for the candidate to GLOVELESS when checking the water temperature. Can you please provide proof of your statement? We don't want people to be confused by your comments. SKILL 19 - PROVIDES FOOT CARE ON ONE FOOT 1 Explains procedure, speaking clearly, slowly, and directly, maintaining face-to-face contact whenever possible 2 Privacy is provided with a curtain, screen, or door 3 Before washing, checks water temperature for safety and comfort and asks client to verify comfort of water 4 Basin is in a comfortable position for client and on protective barrier 5 Puts on clean gloves before washing foot 6 Client’s bare foot is placed into the water
Will Credentia fail me if I don’t raise the bed up for safety body mechanics? Or will I be okay if I don’t do this, Since it is not listed in the steps?
Hello, I teach my students to LEAVE the bed alone. You will not fail if you don't raise the bed. What has happened in the past, is that students raise the bed to their waist level. The student will do the skill correctly. Due to nervousness, the student forgets to put the bed back down. This is a serious safety issue. Now the student can Fail because they forgot to put the bed back down. It is not worth it on a test day. So, it is a personal choice NOT a REQUIREMENT.
Question: why on more than a few skills the bed is lowered before you finish the skill and other skills it is not. Can you lower the bed on all the skills before you complete the skill and not get dinged?
After she washed her hands , and explicitly used a paper towel to turn off the water because the faucet handles are not clean, how come she doesn’t wash her hands after touching the basin ? @@credentiacnaskills3577 hi dra, thank you for replying. Pillow under the knee, instead of holding the full weight of leg.
Hi dr when we wash legs how we position the bed ? Laying down or sitting position?
The state does not care. Either position is good.
Could you please post all the skills?! My exam is on the 30th of this month 🙂
I can't record the blood pressure skill because I don't know how to record the B/P sound.

do have to actually wash your hands or just stating you washed your hands are enough?
Hello, for the foot washing skill, the student ONLY has to verbalize hand washing.
Kindly demonstrate washing foot of a patient sitting on a chair
okay
Question: why on more than a few skills the bed is lowered before you finish the skill and other skills it is not. Can you lower the bed on all the skills before you complete the skill and not get dinged?
Hello, When performing the state exam skills, the best thing to do is to follow the steps outlined by the state.
How about documenting the amount of food?
Hello, This skill is on foot care. I am confused.
My skill exam is tomorrow, and I am feeling confident so far.
You got this.
After she washed her hands , and explicitly used a paper towel to turn off the water because the faucet handles are not clean, how come she doesn’t wash her hands after touching the basin ? Same logic that the faucet handles are dirty is the same logic that the basin is dirty.
Might as well think everything is dirty and just keep washing hands.
Overkill…and they make such a fuss over the minutiae and forget that the patient is losing patience
I show the steps for a person to pass this skill when taking the state exam.
It doesnt say to use a clean area of the wash cloth with each stroke so i dont have to do that right? Just wash the foot & the toes
You are correct.
I was told to not wear gloves for foot care
Hello, The state does not require the student to wear gloves. Therefore, it is optional if a student wants to wear gloves during this skill. The wearing of gloves will NOT be counted against the student for this skill.
It says in the steps to wear gloves
Good videos but too long, please talk less or faster students only have 30 min to do all skills when testing
