This restaurant was called The Catfish Place until the family recently retired a few years ago and they sold it to the Nauti Labstah people. Our family went there from the time I was maybe 10 years old (I am now way older than 10 haha) but anyway it was many moons ago and the catfish was always amazing which is what we always went there to eat (whole catfish with the bone). So I was very upset when I heard they sold the restaurant but then I read that this new place was keeping a lot of The Catfish Place items on their menu, and that the old owners had given them their recipes and suppliers too (that's why parts of the menu listed items from The Catfish Place). I haven't been there since it was sold because I was afraid it would be too different but from your video it looks pretty much the same. They always had a train going around the restaurant on the tracks, don't know if the new owners do or not. I think based on this I will give this new place a try and hopefully the catfish will be the same as always.
Wow! Thanks for sharing this info. We had no idea so it’s great to learn about places. It seemed popular so we are thinking that the catfish is probably still the same. You should try it and let us know if it’s the same!
Yes! They have been around for 2+ years and we have some of catfish classics on the menu! They have kept the same vendor that the previous owner has had for years. I promise you’ll enjoy!
Thanks for taking us! 👍🏻 When I see items like Chilean sea-bass I almost want to stand up and shout “Is there anybody from Chile in the house that can authenticate this sea-bass?” 😂
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the reviews of restaurants on the outskirts of Orlando. My preference would be Cajun / Creole or traditional Florida seafood. The big 3 snapper, grouper, and flounder. I wouldn't eat frozen cod or salmon. Local caught Florida seafood is the best!
Just stumbled across this report. Since there’s a mussel lover in the family may I suggest them at Carrabbas. They are outstanding. You’ve reviewed better Italian restaurants but Carrabbas mussels and Caesar salad make a fine meal. Their warm bread can be dipped in their herbs and olive oil, and of course the leftover sauce from the mussels-loaded with fresh garlic.
Hello! Thanks for sharing that with us! We did do a Carrabbas review because of the salads but had no idea about the mussels. We will have to try that sometime! Thank you!
In a world of many different options, it’s impossible to show all the food. What we got was really good and if you get the chance to try it, it’s great!

If you're at a lobster restaurant get lobster. I'd like to know how the lobster tasted not in a roll.
