Sad story for sure, and as someone who lived in Bangkok at that time I know of this stuff very well. As for me, I would say NEVER fall for ANY woman in Pattaya, the whole place is like that. Go for fun, never love.
As for me, I married an Amazing Thai woman I met in Bangkok. She was finishing getting her University degree at RMUTT. She was also working as an English teacher in an after school program at the same time. Her father was a monk from a Chinese Family, and her mother was Thai. She was stunningly beautiful inside and out. To this day I feel like I hit the lottery. My wife NEVER wanted anything to do with my money, we have a son. And we moved back to America together. I did pay a dowry. $15,000 USD to marry my wife, as is the custom with a good family that raise a good woman. She was an amazing wife, and mother. Wise way Beyond her years, with the kindest heart. Sadly last year I lost her to breast cancer. But we both truly loved each other, and it was the best relationship of my life. I just wanted to say that even with all the bad stories, of Thai women, I want people to know, there are very good Thai women also. And as an American, I can say "Good Lucky" finding a relationship like I had with my Thai wife in America. Not sure if I could ever fall in love again. But I never known what the real feeling of a soul mate was until I met my wife. But my biggest advice to anyone going to Thailand looking for love, is to know their culture very well, and be a good communicator with patience, understand the things you think are just normal in your culture, are not in Thai culture. Knowing her culture well, and being well read is a big key to help you. Funny but after coming here to America, my wife never wanted Thai girlfriends. She felt the Thai girls living in America that she met where all bad women. Most ex hookers, or that type. Thai women who did not even know my wife would meet her, and ask how she hook me, and ask for advise to help girls friends or sister to get American husband, like my wife was an ex hooker who tricked an American. It would really piss her off. She very quickly my wife said "I don't need any of these Thai girls as friends" I felt sad about this. But that is a good Thai woman.

Thanks for sharing.Very sad ending to this story but people need to hear all sides and angles. A legal concept exists that is useful for property ownership in such markets. A company is created that owns the assets (property, house, flat, land, lease to a shop or bar etc), the business (bar, B+B, hotel, shop, car rental or whatever), operates it, pays taxes and all other dues. The owner, shareholder and director of the company is the guy from abroad therefore remains in control of the capital and the business. This structure is 100% legal and widely used. I mention this so people like this gentleman knows, hopefully they hire a lawyer to set it up for them.
My motto is trusting is good, only trusting yourself is even better. Dare I say had this gentleman deployed above legal structure, he would be healthy now, had his business, maybe even wealthy and his woman by his side (with a bit of luck). If he wanted to be decent and generous by her, he could have given her a percentage of the business as they would have worked together to build it up from scratch but he would have kept the property lease within the company and 100% in his own control, but of course events took another course and proved fatal in this case.
If people learnt to separate relationship from transactional sex, if they accepted that in Thailand they only find transactional sex and nothing else, we wouldn't hear such sad stories.

@@ThailandBound so, I have question for u. I met a small town girl that has all the aspects of a good girl. I really low balled her and asked would she live w me for 8,000 / month. She told me that she made 15,000 a month... but she said, she'll do it, cuz she wants love... cuz she's had bad relationships. Now, u said, a a good girl would never accept money. But she's willing to do half of what she makes, if that story is even true. Would u consider her a good girl or a part time freelancer? Keep in mind, it was my idea to pay her. And I purposely picked her cuz she's not beautiful... just average. I wanna live w her for 6 months, then leave. That's our agreement. Will she do something nuts like kill me in my sleep with her brother? I've already told her, I don't have much money. I've also told her - this is not a love thing, this is a deal for beach company. She 26...im 36. What's ur opinion?

Hi Peter I have watched several of your videos & most of them show how mainly English blokes get conned & ripped off by these Thia girls & I can understand why because lots of them have lovely bodies & are beautiful looking girls & men of all ages fall for their lies. It reminds me of some different event that happened to several friends of mine but hearing their stories before everything went wrong for them. One of them a good few years ago now had the same sort of experience that you have described in as much as he went there quite a lot & met this girl several times & as far as he was concerned she was okay & you can probably guess the rest. As he had been there several times with her & he fell for her lies & like in this story I have just been watching of yours. They planned being together full time & she agreed that she would like to come to the UK & they would get married, then came the usual excuse that she would need money to send back to help keep her parents as they were getting old & needed help with life in general & that is why she worked to send them money but if she stopped working & came to the UK she would still need money to look after her parents (& all these stories end up the same). It seems to me to be that its a general story used to conn the British guys for money as it always seems to work. Anyway to cut a long story short he gave her a load of money & I can't remember how much so he could come back to the UK to sort out a home for them for when she would fly to the uk, which he did. Then he contacted her as he did regularly & arranged & paid for her flight to the UK plus he sent he a load more money to keep her so called parents comfortable when she left & she wanted enough money to put in a bank account she had set up so her parents could draw from it to have regular food & what ever they needed. So he did what she said & asked for giving him all the bank account details so he could transfer the money & as you can guess she never heard from him or saw her again & ended up losing several thousands of pounds.
The second one was more recent only a couple of years ago, a different friend of mine who had his own business in computer programming & did quite well, then like a lot of English blokes had problems with his wife so he decided after making lots of enquiries about work in Thailand on computers & setting them up & programming them & was told there was loads of work out there for him & he should be able to earn good amounts of money so he decided to go there & see how things were. So he gave everything up here & went out there & he liked it & set up business out there. Then once he was earning good amounts of money he got tempted by these lovely looking girls & I must admit he loved the company of beautiful sexy girls & gradually he got involved with some of them & you can guess the rest . They ended up conning him out of his money & business for more or less they same way most of them do & has ended up with nothing & not even enough money to come back to the UK & recently I have not heard from him & would not be surprised if he joined the flying club as you call it because he realised what a prat he had been letting his cock rule his brain & lost everything to these girls getting depressed & did not know what to do. The amount of these girls out there that do this to older english blokes there must be a lot of these girls that are very rich & I can see why they all do it because they must know that the english blokes are an easy target..
So I will stop now & will look at many more of your stories & I am surprised that a lot of these girls don't get murdered because of what they do.

It seems like a common belief, in recent years, is a girl with a college degree is a good one. Like they are in a different class of people. Truth is you can't judge a girl by her level of education. A lot of girls earn their way through university on their back. Often times they get a farang boyfriend to pay for university, along with maybe a new house for mom and dad. Once she's gotten every penny the man has, he's shown the door. I've seen this time and time again. Guys think just because they meet a girl outside a bar it must mean they are in a different league and can be trusted to do the right thing. The best way to get a laugh out of a group of expats is to say, "I'm lucky, because my girl isn't like all those other girls. She's special!"

Good point mate, but the sugar daddy thing with uni student girls happens all over the world. Most of the time it’s a better option for girls than whoring themselves to different men every week . At least that way they can bring the man home to the parents and keep up the veneer for both parties ;-) . He’ll pay for her phone/ internet , help out with university fees, some money for clothes and give her some petrol money. But you’re right, when the man’s down to his last pennies he’s shown the door and the cycle begins again. ;-)

This is really sad. If i wanted to form a long term relationship with a Thai girl (which I don’t because i’m happily married to one) I certainly wouldn’t go looking in Pattaya. As you say many of the girls working in the markets and malls there are also on the game and if they aren’t they ALL know what the score is with the male farangs that flock there in their thousands and what is to be ‘expected’ of (from) them. Once a girl has left the village and hit Pattaya (other locations in Thailand are available) they soon become corrupted by their co-workers and the farang wallet. On the other side of the coin, i have seen on numerous occasions so many loud mouth, ignorant, hideous drunken foreigners treat girls appallingly so they too must have their own fair share of horror stories. You can only imagine the stories some of those girls could tell. It’s all very sad. So sorry to hear about your friend here.

Like i said though, its not just one sided. some guys are just nasty pieces of work, maybe because of their own bad experiences in the past or maybe because they are just not nice people, but then I guess that goes for folk and places the world over. To me Pattaya is just a fun city. Playtime in between work, that’s all. Have your fun then go back to work. Easier said than done -.even for the more experienced traveler. I once read somewhere if you’re ever on a train to heaven and it stops in Pattaya, get off! - just don’t miss the last train home. 😉

Never, ever, sell your assets back home to fund anything in Thailand. It is common knowledge that you only spend in Thailand what you are willing to lose, and that includes money spent on women. I have a Thai wife and we have been together 6 years. All my assets are NOT in Thailand and in my name only. She will only get some of it when I die, and since I take good care of her and she is a "good girl" (tm) hopefully she will not get any funny ideas about hastening that event. My main worry is that once she starts talking to other Thai women they can become corrupted and get bad ideas.

One aspect that perplexes me is the apparent absence of legal safeguards adopted by Western retirees in Thailand. While complete ownership of land may be restricted, which serves as a commendable measure to prevent property prices from skyrocketing and excluding most Thais from the real estate market, it raises the question of why retirees don't employ legal contracts for protection. I find it hard to believe that it is not possible to set up contractual agreements outlining the equitable distribution of assets in the event of a separation, thereby offering retirees a measure of financial security.

Bitcoin is defying all laws of nature and TA in this new era with many speculations and many predictions gone wrong, it's outrightly wrong to just sit back hodl and wait maybe incur some losses along the line, that's a wrong mindset for an investors because as an investor finding ways to always increase and stack up more coins thereby making profits should be the way of life, even experienced traders are in doubt to take long or short position. People who invested in Bitcoin at the beginning or even in 2013 or 2015, when Bitcoin was crashing, have now become millionaires. Thanks mainly to the good time, my initial investment was multiplied by 5 in 2 months. After getting in touch with Mr Adam Oliver, an expert in cryptography, who showed me how to use his program to make transactions and got 14 Bitcoin in 2 months with him. If you are looking for a way to increase your profit or been scared of investing as a beginner, I will recommend you to expert Adam Oliver and you can always contact him on his Telegram Channel.

Hi Peter , thank you for the story , and sad ending. But I don’t understand some men logic . 60 y.o. Met a girl half age younger , at least . Things were going well… sold everything .. did not add 49% of the company as suggested from Solicitor, as suggested , conclusion . 10K miles away from U.K. , after 6 months wanted to settle in Thailand with a young girl ? Who will do the same in U.K. ? How many men in UK or Europe have relationship with young girl at that age ? … unless very wealthy … well if some people want to live a dream … soon or later all dreams will end .
