I’m no dev, so I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors of making video games. But this post is so true that I have to think there is a pretty big reason for this. My novice assumption would be that it comes down to passion for the project and the freedom to chase that passion when it comes to AA titles vs a large studio that is all about profit margins
Ironically, because the budgets are so large, AAA publishers are very risk-averse. Which leads them to greenlight stuff that is currently popular, which will be played out by the time the project is done. It's a safe way to get a flop.
The Pathless, Greedfall, Biomutant (my #4 game I played in 2021), Solar Ash, and Psychonauts 2 (my #2 game I played in 2021)also get my vote; great choices! Might as well through in Neon White with all the Annapurna games you've mentioned in these past 2 vids. I didn't get Journey though; just wasn't my thing.
If you believe that then you fell for the marketing. It was made mostly before they were part of ms, and didn't have those resources during development. Then marketing sold it as nv2, which it couldn't live up to
Can you put a time stamp with the name of the game in the comment in future videos?
Outlast: A new beginning was a big surprise for me. The game just wants you to have fun and it delivers.
Chorus deserves a mention for best space combat rpg type thing lol 😂
It was there in the first video, so good call 👍🏻
Keep going man, you make great videos!
I really appreciate content like this.
I bought jagged alliance 3 from the last video. 👌🏽👌🏽
Great video bro. Make more if it's possible. Thank you
funny how low budget AA games are far far far better than so called next gen AAAA game. (No star wars outlaw was hurted)
Quadruple A games made for making happy a woke basterd shareholder not gamers

Better the Cyberpunk 2077 that's for sure.

Shadow Tactics has a 90% discount on Steam at the time of this post, until 7th Sept 2024, at least where I am. So bought.

Was really surprised to not see Hollow Knight on this list
Both Remnants and Evil West should be on this list
Remnant and Evil West were both on his previous video. You should definitely check that one out too!

Oh mb, new channel for me so i didn't check the previous videos.
Nice. Is outer wilds bang your head against the wall hard/confusing? I’m not great at puzzle games
If I were to rate the puzzle, maybe it’s around 3.5 out of 5. I think it’s more of a problem-like stuff that you need to solve.
To me, yes. I loved it but I just couldn’t finish it because I got too frustrated
You know what, I was wondering if that was the case with this game as well, cuz if the puzzles aren't,Dr. Mindbendingly hard ,then I will grab it.
@@jayesun3420 I’m also not great at puzzles and as he said in the video they do not hold your hand! Maybe I’ll try again at some point
can u make a video of tatics real time games just like no 1 game of this video
What is the game at the intro with fire boss
The pathless
in exile, as in they've been exiled. not inziled...
GG.
25:45 It's pronounced Shogun not Shogan
Really liked the Number 18, might check it out

outer worlds is AAA

Starfield was better
I prefer Starfield
The sad part is that Biomutant was a AAA game. It just flopped hard after YEARS of development.
😊
Krypto Mac, Wanna be friends?
Biomutant is one of the shitiest game I ever bought
Biomutant on pc bad the game goo from 120 fps 50 and 60
Small studios can be owned by big publishers... That isnt AA.
No that's shady, usually, nice point
AAA refers to the budget and size of the team. Psychonauts 2, Grounded, HellBlade 2 and Plague Tale series are all AA games.
