I only had one with this problem, I bought a spare motor but that was worse. Doesn't seem to be many suggesting similar so perhaps its not many. Hope you manage to fix yours
@@itsallabouttheclag I don't repair except my own, sorry. The motor is a sealed unit , I only partly opened it to clean the commutator but I would agree its not that easy. May be better to buy a new motor for your model
@@itsallabouttheclagdid you manage to fix the motor problem?I’ve just stripped mine and found that the flywheel needed to be adjusted by pulling it outwards on the shaft a fraction of an inch.Also the pole magnets had become unglued causing them to drag on the armature.I suspect that the most common problem is the flywheel rubbing on the motor’s mounting.Mine is running as it should now. I hope this might help with your motor issues.
Great video, i have 2 Bachmann 66s i perchesed around 2010 and the motor's seem very good indeed although they haven't been used much... who actually manufacture the Hattons 66 ?

Hattons themselves made their 66 directly but recently sold the tooling to Accurascale who are making several improvements for future models
