louder isn't always better. Plus you can rite music just as it is or spice it up with your swag to it. That's what make The Human Jukebox stand out from the rest. The arrangements they play are threw the roof and unmatched!!!
As a trombone player I'm glad to see Southern with more woodwinds. They add a color to your sound that you just will not get from brass only.

I give SU the edge because of the arrangements but SU has some bias ass fans. Trumpet from TC fucks up, everybody hears it but when SU clearly fucks up people all of sudden are deaf and didn't respond to shit.....smh Good job to both bands though. TC did their thing just need better arrangements when facing SU.

Volume wise talladega has the edge, southern on the other hand had volume and sounded decent on most songs....I give the victory to southern.... But This wasn't just an SU knockout though, Talladega has come a long way.....to even be in the same stadium with southern!!

This the footage I've been looking for. From a distance relatively midpoint. This is when you can really hear if there's a real difference in sound between bands. Good positioning and a solid camera/mic. Just gained another subscriber.

both bands have their pros and cons. everything will always be opinionated. it depends on what the listener likes. ppl with musical backgrounds will always push the technical issues. where on the other hand u have the fans who only know volume. Question is who decides the winner? the fans or the experts? that leaves me scratching my head lol.

Just because you have a musical background doesn't mean you have to always push technical issues and not care about volume. And why are you acting like SU is playing soft. They are playing with power and loudness just like Talladega.
marshall Winston that's true man. Southern play more technical songs that are powerful, loud, and clean. Talladega play non-technical songs that are powerful, loud, and not clean. SU was louder during this botb, and they sound AMAZING! SU WON this battle hands down! They definitely shut down TC. Also, Talladega made themselves look bad, by insisting SU used a mic when they didn't. SU known, and famous for their powerful sound, and their ability to maintain balance. So I agree with you here 100% buddy.

TC has came a long way. But SU was better by a mile. TC was louder but that's the only thing they had on SU. TC had potential but need to focus on cleaning up the sound quality. TC is better but has a long way to go before you're up there with SU.

I am a fan of both bands, but this was similar to a Varsity 1st string playing the 2nd and 3rd string. SU took TC to school, ate their lunch and sent them home crying.

I strongly agree. SU has so many band fans to where the average person watching SU battles are manipulated into thinking SU is invincible. SU stands out in the SWAC because they're the only band that plays the music as it was written by the composer. Every other band in the SWAC just goes for volume. I'm in no way, shape, form, or fashion saying that SU's not good but, place SU in the MEAC and they will only blend in.

Then, the band director talks too much. He’s so immature. His band IS loud but that’s all they have going for themselves. They’re a disaster. Every band they face exposes just how unpolished they are. BCU, FAMU, SU, etc... they have a ton of growing to do. He says “we’re not Grambling” and he’s right. At least Grambling behaves in a poised and respectful manner. The sad part is: the members must follow an idiot leader.
