Great video! Will this also give "Engine oil level critically low" warning on the dash? Mine is intermittent. Also do the shields covering the Solenoid screw/clip on to the engine? Cheers

I dont think so mate, ive not come across that warning with this fault before.. they just sort of wedge into place, no clips 👍

I have the same issue and same critically low oil level warning, even though oil level is good. I read on another forum that it's an indication of solenoid fault. I'm going to change the solenoid but it's really difficult to reach when the vehicle is on the ground!

​@@stephenkerry5561 I had difficulty obtaining the solenoid (only 3 in stock in the whole of the UK!). Am collecting it on Friday and hopefully fitting it on Sunday. Time will tell!

Having changed the solenoid (pig of a job to do 1 x 8mm bolt!) the engine feels much better and i haven't yet had another low oil level warning but there's still an intermittent P049B fault with the exhaust gas recirculation. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

​@@ian001sometimes when I change the automatic transmission from R to D I get the message "low engine oil" even though there is enough engine oil in it. I read it via the OBD2 system and got this error code
