Grabbed a serving for take away the other day, perfect in this cold weather and during lockdown. Peter seems so passionate about the pho and it shows in the taste
I went here on a Sunday, it was busy and there was a line. We had someone wait 45minutes for one Satay Beef Banh Mi and It was at least a 40minute wait for takeaway. The serving of Pho Everything didn't even have tripe, it was 2 meatballs and 2flanks of meat, nothing like your video. The tables weren't cleared and customers had to clean the tables and take plates and trays up to the counter themselves. There were only 2 Aunties behind the counter sorting out the orders for a while as well. There needs to be an improvement to the service, order organization and takeaway orders, I was disappointed when we got home. There is nothing wrong with the flavour for the Pho and Banh Mi.
Should pass that feedback on to the owner if you can, I'm sure he would appreciate it! Keep in mind I did order extra brisket and meat though, like I said in the video.
@@SydneyFoodBoy I travelled from Hornsby to visit 2 Foodies only. I wouldn't be going back to give him feedback. Also one last thing, I think it might be less confusing if they gave people numbers instead of taking names or little brother.
Sate dipping sauce is a must. Agree pho noodles from overseas aren’t as good as Aus. They as you said come dried prepackaged and usually thinner as well. Makes a big difference to the overall taste and enjoyment of eating pho.

Just went and got 3 phò, (beef and everything) and have to say YUM! the Broth is amazing, totally different to any i have had before, yet has all of the fragrant herbs etc with a rich, silky body. Thanks for your recommendation on this one👍
Best pho I've had. The soup with the morrow is off the hook and what proper pho place doesn't provide you with a deep spoon? Destroyed the xlarge pho there no problem.

Bro, take me here after lockdown pls?! The broth looks hectic. I’m the same, I don’t like adding anything to my pho broth to appreciate it more and same with most broths like with ramen too. But will follow your chilli blend recommendation for this one.
Im the same as you - I just use a few bean sprouts, lemon/lime and I rip the basil leaves into the bowl. Only other condiment I use is fresh chilli. Awesome vid bro!

Great video!! Could you do more of Vietnamese dishes but from the North? I would recommend going to Marrickville and try out Pho at Pho Hanoi Pho or Crab Noodle Soup at Thuy Huong.
I request that the bean sprouts are cooked/blanched and add the lot to the bowl. I don’t use any sauce but have fresh sliced chillies with a splash of fish sauce and soy on the side.
For me I add basil and bean sprouts first. Taste the broth then add lemon to it. I keep my satay and hoisin mixed but separate from the bowl and use it to dip my meat.
Hopefully I haven't made it tooooo public Simon 😅 it's been our hidden gem for a long time, but any business is good business for them! Always happy to support a good restaurant

Went there after saw sydney food boy video. 1st time was not what I expected. Broth was not tasty as claimed. Gave it another go a month later. Got there 10am the place was dead empty. Service was bad, as if the lady didn't want to be there. Pho came out, broth was watery. No flavour as if water has been added to the soup. Not going back there again. If they said this is the best pho. It's all hyped.
Haven't had those experiences myself so can't relate but sorry that you haven't had a good time there. Have never had a pho without flavour here in my experience

Tried this spot for the first time last week and my goodness it did not disappoint. The flavour in that broth was really something else. This is definitely one of the places I'll be dining at religiously from hereon in!
I paid 15$ for bowl of phở at this joint, broth got alittle more flavour, but the portion is tiny, doesn't look anything like the bowl of phở you show us 😆😆😆
I did ask for extra brisket meat on this one, like I said! But I've never gotten a tiny portion here regardless, talk to the owner if he's there he'll make sure your looked after Thi!
The best pho I’ve had. And I’ve tried every heavy hitter in syd. And not just by a bit, but by leaps and bounds. The owner is in it for the love of finding the perfect pho. He always goes out of his way to help you experience his food in the best way, as intended. Awesome owner and awesome food.
I ate at this place a while back and I must say the broth is very unique compared to other places. Very hearty with strong flavours from all parts of the beef which sets it apart. I wondered if this is how the pho would’ve been like back in the struggle days in Vietnam utilising head fat and all.
i tried this place today ordered pho with everything and the beef roll. sorry sfb i was a bit disappointed. the pho is nothing special and the beef roll is just ok. i was not happy as well with the order as the people taking the order didn't speak much english. most of the people who were coming were ordering in vietnamese and they got their orders ahead of mine. i think i'll stick with my pho at pho tau bay. thanks for the review anyway. i'll keep trying your other recommendations
Just had a bowl of pho here. Sorry guys can't rate it too high, very hot broth which is a plus but very on the bland side taste wise. Sat there the whole time surrounded by dirty trays and bowls and the boss was just sitting there chatting. Passionate about the pho but not passionate about the standards.
As soon as lockdown is over, I’m going. Chilli oil in Pho is so much better than Sriracha!!🤤
