Enjoy theses video tom...I had to do my windscreen washer bottle yesterday as f30 are so fuzzy when it comes to mixing screen wash and it block my filter inside the bottle so I cut end of filter off so it won't happen again lol as they are known for blocking
@Tom-dz7of only cut top off m8 they aren't needed and just block they are so fuzzy with different brands of screen wash they are like a living breathing being theses cars 🤣🤣
hi, thanks for the good video, i just changed my right side jet and plan to do the left tomorrow, they've been rarely working the last few weeks so planned to change, now ive changed the right, they dont seem to be coming out at all when i test the washers, the windscreen washers etc work fine but the headlights are not activating - i havent put a cover on but surely thats not an issue? any idea what could be wrong? there isnt a separate pump is there? thanks
Hi mate as far as I know there is a separate pump, the headlight washers won’t activate the same as the windscreen washers probably every 3rd time or so, I can look into it for you, the cover won’t make any difference mate, how were the old jets? Did they reassess properly? If it’s just there not spraying at any point, might be a pump or a blockage
@@330dfam cheers for the reply - yeh i tried with the lights on & waited about a few times, weird as they were working last night, even though barely, unless that separate pump was on the way out. Ye the jets are pretty stiff tbh so prob needed the change. i guess ill have to check that pump tomorrow and see if i can clean it up/unblock anything
Great - thank you - I know they are cheap, but if its only dirt, etc, is there any mileage in removing and cleaning rather than replacing?? Mine are playing up, and the car only has 22k miles on it - so barely been used. Thank you.
@@330dfam yeah - I thought buying a super low mileage car was a good move - but it’s definate pros and cons - some stuff is much better for it - some stuff is worse for it
How long have u had it, if it’s 22k probably only done 2-3k a yr, good oil change and a run, cars like to be used and not sat, but it’s a balance mate, low milage is good but like a hight milage there may be a few faults, just nothing major engine wise 😎😎
@@330dfam not had it long, but it was the mother in laws from new - so I know everything about it - actually sold a lot newer (but higher mileage) Audi to buy it - good car, but defo feels like it’s getting better with more use - suspect it’s never been above 2500 revs and 1/8 throttle in its life - but freeing up as I use it properly - except (even when driving like miss daisy) only getting 17mpg (only a 320i auto - but is in London)
Mate, change all oils engine, gearbox, diff and I’m sure it will love you for it, if it’s had regular short journeys should be ok, but u may need to change suspension bushes etc, other than that sounds like you’ve got a good car mechanically, few teething problems, nothing major and it’ll be mint low milage car 😎👍🏻
Thank you for this, I had no fluid from the windscreen washer jets so I’ve previously removed and cleaned out the reservoir and filters and now they work great. Will be doing this to get the headlight washers to work as when I activate the pump there’s a pool of water and nothing else. Do you have an eBay part link or part number? Cheers
@@330dfam I tried to get one from my parts place, it didn't look anything like this one and turned out not to be correct and was returned. Can you recommend a parts place please? Or a parts code please? I need to find a locking wheel nut tool too, cos guess what the seller forgot to give me when I bought the car.. that's right #fail Cheers
On both of them mate I’d visit the bmw parts desk and sometimes the prices arnt that bad and the product will be better quality and last don’t buy twice ..wheel but defo go bmw 😎👍
Hi mate it’s possible, the ones on mine didn’t fully retract all the time, but work perfectly now, I would say if your removing them to inspect for the money it’s just worth replacing 😎👍🏻
Welcome to the stealership Mr Tom… come to collect your 330? That’s smashing. Here’s your invoice… that works out to £300 per side. £10 fluid top up. £20 scope. £100 diagnostics. Plus VAT so that’s 10million pounds please. Oh and we done a free health check and recommend another 10 million pounds for 15 mins work. Would you like a mindless cup of coffee and a subspecies biscuit whilst the valater finishes spraying you pride and joy with powerful chemicals for minimum wage. Thank you very much for your business… the shareholders will be very pleased. ✌🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
@@330dfam Must admit I enjoy writing up comical patronisation in the guise of comical situations. I think most of us has had the situation I describe. Being British we have a stiff upper lip and most of us grin and bear it. Then most of those people avoid talking about it afterwards as they then feel like they should’ve questioned the it. Which takes me onto the genuine parts thing. I can confirm that my local BMW dealer uses euro car parts for brake discs and pads. The oil they currently put in our cars is Mannol. Meets BMW specifications. But isn’t Shell or Castrol as you may believe. The used oil is “part exchanged” with their suppliers. Not sure what happens to it after that. Someone suggested the oil was used for heating. But I can’t find any evidence of that. Anyways mate… hope your getting along with the new addition. I’m sure you will let us know your findings. ✌🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
That’s shocking about main deal oil discs lad etc but I can believe it ..as for the new addition it landed last night but he wouldn’t face time me 😂😂said I have to wait 😂😂
Personally I’d remove the wheel as the car would definitely need to be jacked up to remove inner lining bolts etc, but if u manage it without let me know 😎👍🏻
Hi mate I bought them off eBay, if you do a search loads will come up, there pretty much a standard fit throughout the modles etc so just make sure you put your car details in and you’ll be fine 😎👍🏻
It’s an easy ish job mate, no longer than an hr, did my head in mate, had to push them in all the time, paranoid someone will catch them in a car park😂😎👍🏻
Hi mate, that’s strange both work on mine and still do, I’d contact the seller and send back, unless the pump is faulty and not delivering pressure? But if old ones work shouldn’t be the issue 😎👍🏻
Mine just came flying off today and took the part that comes out with it 😂😂😂😂 going to do this once I get the parts! Great video
Thanks mate, easy job 💪🏼😎
Great to see this, lovely job done!
Great video. Well done on the camera angles.
Thanks mate 😂, hope it was helpful 😎👍🏻
@@330dfam took about 20 minutes per side without taking the wheels off or jacking the car up
👍🏻, obviously I mainly took the wheel off for the video and ear off access 😎👍🏻
@330dfam I only did it that way because my jack wouldn't fit under the car so I couldn't get the wheels off
Nice video , just made my life a lot easier thank you .
