This is probably the most random video to ever appear on my channel.. definitely the ugliest, worst quality one since my windows movie maker days lol. I apologize for that but this show is over 30 years old and I couldn’t find better scenes anywhere, but I couldn’t shake this video idea so I just had to make it despite the quality.
Do any of my subs watch Beverly Hills, 90210? I was born a year after the show started, so it was before my time but growing up I always heard about it and then even more so in my teens when I started getting into teen dramas, I always heard it referenced. I first started it back in 2019, because there was a reboot of it airing that summer and I somehow began watching that even though I had never seen the original.. so soon after I figured I better check it out to see what the reboot was referencing. I watched until early season 4.. but honestly I got bored and was kinda over the soap opera aspect/dramatics of the show. I dunno if this was a sign of the times and if all early 90’s shows were just soapy and overly dramatic, but ya it was getting a bit too much for me lol. I’m sorry some aspects of the show are good but others are just not my favourite. But recently I didn’t know what else to watch and decided to start back up again, and have now gotten to mid season 6. Though it’s hard to continue right now because I’m sad that Andrea and Dylan are both gone, they’re my two favourite characters.. I like Kelly a lot too but I kinda don’t wanna continue the show just to watch her be with Brandon or other randoms. I tried my hardest to give Kelly/Brandon a chance last season but I just couldn’t get into them I’m sorry, not only for the fact that I just really ship Brandrea, but my second favourite ship after them is Dylan/Kelly.
My favourite part about 90210 though and why I kept going throughout the first three seasons were these two. They’re my otp of the show and I’m so mad they were never given an actual chance to be something.. imo they had the most solid relationship and base to build on, their chemistry was so strong, and they just made so much sense to me. Obviously Brenda/Dylan are the main couple you’re supposed to be rooting for in the beginning, but I never enjoyed that relationship much, I dunno it was never interesting to me and in all honesty Brenda is probably my least favourite character lol I’m sorry she just rubbed me the wrong way. So ya I was really solely invested in these two. And then in season 3 when Dylan/Kelly started I really loved their chemistry so I became invested in them too. I think I’m in the large minority with these two couples as my two favourite ships from the show but oh well I don’t choose what I ship the ships choose me haha.
I feel like I’ve read that in season 4 had the actress playing Andrea not gotten pregnant in real life, they may have finally gotten her and Brandon together for real? I dunno if that’s true but either way, the characters pregnancy and then shot gun wedding to a dude she’d known for like 5 episodes just felt so wrong. It totally ruined Andrea for me and as she is my favourite I started to become disinterested. Anyways, these two were the perfect initial strangers to competitive rivals/enemies to friends to best friends TO SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOVERS. Ugh the wasted potential of a slow burn. I still don’t understand why they had them kiss so many times and almost hook up twice, all for nothing.
Isn't this song so perfect for their relationship?! Throughout their friendship (well seasons 1 to 3) they were always friends that had feelings for each other but just never fully acted on them or the timing was off and they kept missing each other. I only used scenes from seasons 1 to 3, cause obviously by season 4 she was married with a kid on the way (ugh) so by then I guess their potential was over for good. Though I’ve gone ahead and watched the two episodes later in the series that she comes back for, so I know her and Jesse get a divorce (shocker lol) and also know the outcome of the show that Brandon and Kelly break up and he leaves.. SO THEY’RE BOTH SINGLE BY THE END OF THE SHOW SO IN MY MIND THEY FINALLY GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER AS ADULTS AND FALL IN LOVE AND ARE TOgether forever fight meee lmao. Eventually I’d like to make a vid of their entire relationship, it’s just so precious and I love it!

I think Brandon was drawn to her because of her innocence. it made her different and mysterious as opposed to the other girls that were just sleeping around with everybody.

I think it was mostly the actress getting pregnant IRL and wanting it on the show. Still, they gave up on them way too quickly. They could have made Brandon the dad, they could have made her give her kid up for adoption, they could have had the baby die after birth. Any of those options would have been more IC for Andrea. I feel like they were a bit too eager to get her out of the way and make room for Brelly (which had 0 moments in s1-3??? If they were really planned from the beginning why did they spend all their time on brandrea?)

@@fandomsupremacy570 LITERALLY something I've been wondering for 30 years! Thank 👏🏻 you 👏🏻! Apparently, Jason Priestley liked the "will they/won't they" tension & he thought the fans agreed. Ummm no! Brandrea had a huge fan base that I didn't know existed until the internet. I literally thought it was just me until Google, UA-cam & podcasts. It feels SO good when I see other people see what I've seen all these years!
@@LauraRyan2007 Omg! Same with me! I just found out that Brandrea has a huge fanbase. I also thought it was just me and a few people. So good to know how many fans love this ship. Wish they went all the way with it instead of cutting it too short. Because the writers totally killed Brandrea, I moved to Brandon/Kelly - but I still prefer Brandrea. Oh well, at least I can headcanon them together.

"Friends with feelings" is a GREAT way of putting it. I hate how everyone (INCLUDING the WRITERS who WROTE the scene where Brandon says "I can't get over my possesiveness with her" to Steve in season 3) pretends it was always one-sided.
God, they would have made such a great couple. Can't believe the writers never took that road.
I'M SOOO EMOTIONAL NOW!! I almost screamed when this video popped up as a recommendation. I shipped them so hard for so many years! I still can't accept that they didn't get their chance together as a couple. It would have been an epic romance. They are soulmates, it's pretty obvious. Gossssh, they deserved the whole world, but instead they got nothing. Andrea and Brandon were one of my fav BH90210 ships, I'm in tears whenever I think of their wasted potential. This video is incredible, your talent is just...WOOOW! :D

I love your description & it is exactly how I feel. They ARE endgame & ARE together in my head. I wish the reboot had been in-character at Dylan's funeral. It would've been very sad, but it would be the PERFECT chance for Brandrea. I imagine them sitting at the funeral & someone saying don't let love slip away, what if the love of your life was in that casket? And they just look at each other & know. And they talk afterwards & decided to finally give themselves a real chance.
I think if a hypothetical reboot did happen I'd rather see them already married with kids in a blended family. Kelly ended up with Dylan in the OG series so there's no reason to believe they didn't get together a few years after. Seeing a Dylan funeral would be very sad though.
@@fandomsupremacy570 I'm sorry. I need to see how they finally get together 😂 If they're already married in the first reboot episode, we still don't get to see HOW it happened. Unless you count when he was jealous of Jay & he tried to tell her, there's really no scenes of him telling her how he feels & he NEVER said I love you, even in a friend way. She said it at least twice & he could never bring himself to say it back.

aw I shipped them too- only seen a handful of episodes from season 3- sad to see how they end up. So far Brenda is my favorite lol love the twin energy with Brandon and Brenda.

Great edit. 14 year old me was really sad that Andrea and Steve didn't get together after their kiss. That would have been a great dynamic.
I will never forgive the show for not marrying these two characters. But supposedly Gabrielle Carteris got pregnant in real life and thats why she was written off. Too bad 💔 they would've really made a good couple. The actors that played em both had so much chemistry. Far more than they had with any of the other characters on the show.

It sucks being in love with your bf. Most male/female friendships one of the two is attracted to the other. And just not confident enough as a man/women yet to make a move. Especially that young. Just my opinion.
I honestly think you all need to let this one go. They wouldn't have been a good couple. Because he didn't ever really care about her. The way she cared about her. The writers didn't drop the ball on this one at all. They made the right call and knew what they were doing.
