- It's been already 2 weeks since Luke Perry passed away. I just can't believe he's gone, when I heard the news I was shocked, I really thought he would be fine, never thought it would be the end. An end of a era, perhaps, for 90's kids. Just wanted to pay a brief tribute to one of the most iconic character Luke played. Dylan Mckay, which will always belong to Brenda Walsh for me, and apparently for Luke too, since when in 2016 they asked him which couple of the show was his favorite, he asserded Brenda & Dylan. RIP Luke, you'll be deeply missed.

lorelai44 well they are! There’s no comparison! Brandon loved and respected Kelly in a way Dylan never did. Brandon took her seriously and listened when she talked and valued her opinions and saw her as an intelligent capable woman. To Dylan, Kelly was just a good time. He never felt the same things for her that he did for Brenda. And i don’t believe Kelly ever felt the same things for Dylan that she felt for Brandon either because she had never been respected and valued by a man before Brandon.
This is a beautiful tribute to Luke Perry and to Brenda and Dylan. Love the song choices and the voiceovers, they were endgame. Great job, love it.

Ci tengo a dire che la morte di Luke Perry mi ha devastato come la maggior parte di noi tutti, ero fermamente che ne sarebbe uscito e si sarebbe ripreso, quando ho letto della sua morte sono rimasta sconvolta. Brenda&Dylan sono stati una delle mie prime OTP insieme a Ross&Rachel di Friends e Doug&Carol di ER.
Erano i giovedì sera passati sul divano con la mia migliore amica a mangiare schifezze e guardare questo tf che all'epoca era l'unico che parlasse dei teen ager. Se ne và un pezzo di vita.
Saranno sempre Dylan&Brenda. Non ho mai amato particolarmente Kelly, non la ritengo cattiva ma con Dylan non mi piaceva.

Ma grazie mille a te per le belle parole! Comunque si, Kelly secondo me poteva essere un personaggio interessante, però hanno rovinato tutto facendola mettere in mezzo alla storia fra Dylan e Brenda. In automatico è normale che la gente abbia iniziato a detestarla. Poi l'hanno pure fatta diventare motivo di contesa fra Dylan e Brandon. Insomma è sempre stata quella in mezzo a tutto, invece di avere una propria storyline. Poi non so bene come sia proseguita la cosa perché io smisi di vedere la serie alla fine della S4 con l'addio di Brenda. Però il livello di emozioni che ci hanno trasmesso i Brylan non credo siano mai riusciti a raggiungerlo con nessun'altra coppia all'interno della serie.

They ruine the story with DylanKelly.. I can't understand because the original writers of the show always wanted BrendaDylan at the end: these writers said it in their past interviews.. Most of fans also wanted it, waited for.. Originally it was the story of twins came in Beverly Hills from Minnesota, then it became the story of Kelly. Brandon Brenda and Dylan were the main characters and their story were interesting emotional and attractive... We were watching young people who were not like other rich family's children.. Some writers of the show ruine this for what?? For that DylanKelly? = The biggest mistake.
even though I eventually shipped DK too, it was always brylan & brelly for me, forever my BH90210 otps and ICA, it was supposed to be brylan as endgame, their last scene in s4 showed that! DK was okay but IMO they had just lust, brylan had a real love, raw emotion & a strong connection snd they destroyed it for DK! it should've been brylan & brelly! the fact that the writers & Luke wanted it should say something!!
I know it may seems as a mistake , I'm a fan of Dylan and Brenda myself but I think this way the show was more realistic..I mean in our teenage years we all make that kind of mistakes and get in the wrong relationships and hurt our other half ..because that's what love is all about.. Romeo and Juliet were the exception not the rule ..
yes absolutely, from the very first episode Brenda's character explains to her brother that she wants to integrate and make friends, and Kelly was the friend who showed her how to integrate, Brenda's character represented All that a teenager was, Brenda was a bit of the American dream, she was a high school student trying to fit in among the most popular and richest girls, but towards the end of season 3 she was the character of Kelly who was the most popular high school student who was the star of Beverly Hills, the character of Brenda had been put aside

Unfortunately in Italy I could see just a few episodes because on Rai4 they aired in the morning when I had to go to school and my parents thought it was tough for me(now I am 17 but this happened when I was still at elementary school)
Now I want to watch it for the first time all the series for three reasons:
Because there is Shannon Doherty, who played an amazing Prue on Charmed;
To honor Luke Perry;
Because now they're doing the reboot and there will be characters for the original Beverly Hills 90210 and the remake, so I want to be prepared and connect everything
Of course I will watch it in original tongue because in spite of having good dubbers, I think it's another thing hearing the actors' voices
And I want to compliment to you: now I'm catching up on many American shows from the 90s and seeing an Italian UA-cam channel make this video on Buffy, Dawson's creek, Girlmore Girls etc. inspire me to keep on this intention!

It'll always be Brenda and Dylan. Shannon would have still been on 90210 had it not been for Jennie Garth she wanted to be the female lead and was constantly jealous of Shannon. Tori and Jennie were best friends so Tori had her daddy kick Shannon off the show. Luke never wanted to be in an on screen relationship with Jennie. It takes some digging but you can find old cast interviews
