When this CD Tales is playing. I think of my friend Eric Nance!! Eric passed away last year and we were "Miller Heads"!! I have great memories of playing all the Miller music gong back to the Sun Don't Lie" I miss my friend Eric Nance aka RIT Grad!! You should have been with US In Washington, DC back in the day!! [90's]
This by far my favorite Marcus Miller album. I had most of all of his albums. This was the most played.
I first heard of Marcus Miller when I was listening to Luther Van Dross song, "the night I fell in love". I had to know who was playing that bass on it and sure enough discovered it was Marcus Miller in the credits for bass on all luther's albums. I been a Marcus miller fan ever since. My favorite is "sun don't lie" album.

I remember sitting in a coffee house in Ottawa studying for an exam and heard this album for the first time. It blew my mind then and still does today.

I'm a little shocked that there are no comments @ strange fruit, masterpiece, considering the masterful performance on bass clarinet by Marcus, and the Powerful Bill Withers intro!!!
