    Notes:
It never seizes to amaze me about a tank's suspension. Torsion bars, etc. Each tank seems to have its unique setup. This centurion model features Hortsmann suspension system, which is fascinating. Each wheel has lots of travel and is very springy, but when moved together at the same time, toughens up. The end result is agile on uneven surfaces, and yet proves ample support. So the ground clearance is high, and that gives this tank an edge on rock crawling performance.
The default battery tray is at the rear of the tank and that makes the battery easily accessible by removing the rear engine bay cover. However, the tank is very heavy in the rear and it doesn't climb well. I moved the battery to the front inside the hull, and added some extra weight. That improved the performance of the tank by a while lot.
    Below is excerpt from TamiyaUSA.com:
The Centurion Mk. III was developed as a heavy cruiser tank to counter the powerful German Army tanks during WWII. The Mk. III was perhaps the most polished Centurion variant, equipped with the L/66.7 20 pounder long barrel gun. It was also deployed in the Korean War in 1950, and showed off overwhelming strength which saved the Allied forces from crisis many times. The production reached about 2,800 between 1948 and 1956. After the Korean War, the Mk. III were deployed in European countries, but also other areas such as India, Israel, and Egypt with their formidable force.

Great weathering! Especially the rust, corrosion etc. A scale paint job makes all the difference to final presentation with those Tamiya FO tanks.

Fantastic work, it really does look the part!
The Centurion really is a fantastic kit, but I couldn't personally justify the price this time.
I have several Tamiya's but I opted to wait for the Haya version.
It's not in the same realm as Tamiya,.but it did come with metal tracks and a Clark board for half the price.
I'm sorry to say that I was really underwhelmed with the sound in the Tamiya.
    It's a shame because it's such a beautiful model.
Enjoy your Centurion, it looks great!

How do you get the tank to recoil both ways. Like when you fires backwards, it moves forward, and fireing at front, it boves backwards.
