Bought RC Tank as Antique on eBay: WILL IT WORK?

- Bought an old Tamiya 1/16 RC M26 Pershing Tank on eBay that is sold as antique. No testing whatsoever and sold as-is. I was lucky that it's actually working!
So I cleaned it, installed new receiver, run some basic functionality checks, and took it out for a spin!

Turret rotation problem are an absolute nightmare with this particular Tamiya F/O tank. The way so much cabling has to be packed into such a tight space around the rotation gears results in constant issues. Not the best design by Tamiya but to be fair the company's learned from its mistakes. The Pershing has the best sound effects (clanking tracks).
Agree with the tight space in the hull. May have to fiddle with it more. The sound effect is so cool I had to get one even it's discontinued! Thanks for the comment!
Barrel elevation certainly not right. Wow have I really had mine 20 years and still not completely finished!?! 😂
Yes I need to fix that barrel. If you treat it properly it should run fine for another 20 years. Cheers!
