I'm used to larger, corded routers ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.
Great jig. I dumped my own jig (which had a dust collection connection in the edge guide) and rebuild your jig this weekend. I estimated the dimensions based on the aluminium profiles and the router base. It came out pretty nice and works great :-) Instead of your fine adjustment bolt I used the one from my jig, which I can take easily out for big quick adjustments.
Extraordinary... Sincere admiration and recognition. Amclaussen, Mexico City.
@I SIMPLY BUILT IT hello, can you please share the overall dimensions of the router base and the minimum radius of the circle cutting function? I would like to draw out plans to some of your projects because I'm a fan of your work! Thank you!
I was looking at the CRB7, but I think what you devised is more rigid. While plans would be helpful, since you don't have them yet, I believe I will get to work and do it without plans. Thanks for the video!
@@ISIMPLYBUILTIT With the current Covid-19 situation, I have some shop time (I am a hobbyist). I built this jig 😎. I had a Craftsman router for about 35 years, before it let out the factory installed smoke 😲. It had a fence with a micro adjust. There is a reason I don't throw much away. I was able to pull this out of "junk" storage and use it. A little work with a dremel cut-off wheel, and 4 newly drilled holes, and wa-lah, I have a ready made micro adjuster. I made this one for my trim router, but I believe I will make a second one for my mid-sized router. Thanks for your videos. I find them very helpful.
Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
What an awesome jig - well thought out and the microadjust feature - wunderbar! Perfect for trim routers and it has all the features that one would see in multiple jigs. Love the storage feature too - Ausgezeichnet!
nicely done ! i always try to mount my shop routers into some type of a wood base as it makes it faster and easier to attach jigs or guides to for various tasks i too liked the T track tip inthe video
Very versatile router base, full of interesting features! But what I loved most, was the way you converted cheap aluminium profile to t-track! That's something I'm going to copy from you, as t-track is not easily available here and it's expensive (it's also odd-shaped for mail order and shipping kills the lower online prices).
very nice, I am definitely going to make one of these. one suggestion....show the finished project being used at the beginning of the video so that the viewer is able to understand better what is coming together as the project unfolds.
Awesome Jig! Please note that we realy want plans for this one. Even if we have to pay for it. Thanks for idea, planing, filming, editing, sharing.. (There are two kind of engineers in the world: german ones and the others.)

Genau, einfach Mal machen.
