Please folks who watch great UA-cam videos, leave a thumbs up or down even, it is helpful on both counts and creators like Lindsay who in my opinion is in the top ten presenters for fly tying, will get some benefit from the free information they provide us. It is the least thing we can do for great information. Now the pattern. Lindsay thanks for a couple of good points. First I had never seen the two hackle feathers bound into the correct angle before wrapping. I think that has to be helpful!! Also you touched on showcase flies vs fishing flies. So many new tyers are embarrassed about showing their flies online and I think it is ashame. So many folks fail to understand right away, that flies do not have to look perfect (To us Humans) in order to catch fish. That is a fact! Just keep tying and keep fishing and keep learning. Thanks Lindsay
Its a blend that was created for me by Andrew Ellis from Troutstalkers. There is a multitude of colours its a really interesting blend. The colours include red, blue and yellow. It is still quite subtle though.
That's a good tip on setting up the hackle feathers, I'll remember it!
Every bit helps! 👍
