**WOLF PART OF VIDEO EXPLAINED!** Up in the arctic circle there is tribe of Eskimo's who have learned to set a very simple yet effective trap for wolves. First they sharpen a knife razor sharp. Then they dip it in the blood of a seal they have killed. (you see seals are fairly easy to trap but wolves are very dangerous). After dipping the knife in blood they set it outside in the cold so the blood freezes on the knife. After if freezes (a matter of minutes) they dip it again into the seal blood and again take it out an let the blood freeze. Layer after layer they make a blood popsicle. When they are done, the knife's blade is hidden inside just like a popsicle stick. Now they take the knife out into the wilderness where they think a wolf might be. There the bury the handle of the knife in the snow leaving the blood popsicle standing up and they leave. Now after a while a wolf will come along guided by his sense of smell and find the "bloodsicle". He will being licking it, enjoying every taste. Over and over he licks the knife and soon his tongue is so cold he cannot feel it any longer. It's numb. But his taste for blood is growing and he is not getting as much as he wants - you see, popsicles are slow eating. Finally his licking exposes the razor sharp edge of the knife. It cuts into his tongue again and again but he does not even notice for his tongue can no longer feel anything. The wolfs own blood now flows from his cut tongue. The wolf is thrilled, blood is now more plentiful and he continues to lick more and more. Soon he notices something is wrong, he is getting weaker not stronger. Since he knows blood as food he increases his efforts to feed on the ever increasing flow of blood. His last thoughts are of how good the now warm blood tastes. Within minutes he licks his last and collapse next to the now fully exposed knife. Here the Eskimo knows he will find the wolfs body the next morning. (The wolf gets caught up in its own hunger and lust before it realizes that it is killing itself)
Actuly it shows kinda addiction you know .. like a drug addiction . Lets say that the wolf is drug addicted or starving boy ... can you understand what i wanna say ? GMO ? And etc ..
Addictions come in many forms.. most scrutinize alcohol.. drugs. Both used as weapons by split up sides. One addiction that is obvious number 1 in my books.. is partner addiction. Hearts on a Sleeve... only leaves you with one thing by the end usually.. Dammit.. you need another T shirt. Stay strong. Good luck. Choose. Love.
Just saw these guys at Rockfest. One of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life. I will never miss another show of theirs locally. This is a special band.
One of their best songs ever written, such a masterpiece. Seeing them play this live at their reunion show in LA was something I'll never forget. 7/13/19
"All my life I've been waiting for something, That never came. It never came. But I'm still saying...All my life I've been searching for something, To break these chains. To break these chains. But I'll keep swinging..."
The best part of this song is near the end when all the clean vocals and instruments just come roaring in together after the quieter, subdued bridge. That just completes everything.
TGI really nailed it on this song. Sick intro. Straight forward lyrics. The structure is really easy to digest. A lot of happens in the first 1:15. The song is catchy and has straight forward lyrics. I mean that is the best of compliments. Many bands wish to have a song like this in their discography.
I remember watching these dudes live at the house of blues in Chicago. The crowd was jumping in such perfect sync that you could feel the floor wiggling.
Its not about the way music is portrayed, music is in the heart, i seen this band live only bout a month ago but Vigil said, "i may not have the best voice, but i love music and its what ive always dreamt of doing and its amazing so thank all you guys for coming this means alot to us, thank you but just dont forget that music is all in the heart."
Aaliyah-Mai Secka I hear you! I saw them at Eastpak Antidote Tour in 2011 and they were awesome though they didnt played this song because obvious reason (it was not even released lol) but they played UNSPOKEN and the entire crowd was moving all around the place :D It was the best perfomance ive seen ever^^

NOW IF YOU BUY ONE OF THEIR STUFF THE MONEY IS GOING ALL TO THEM, DUE TO THE BUS ACCIDENT, IT'S TIME TO SHOW SOME LOVE TO THE BAND!!! (I wrote this on capital letters in order to have the attention, because I think that this deserves it)
now is this actually true or press boost cause I know their drummer lost his leg and honestly I'd drop some money on their merchandise if it legitimately goes to them atm
+Dani Atlas Thank you for the information. I really feel compeled to their music, this type of hardcore comes from the heart and it's what this world need. It simply puts my feet back on the ground.

I'll never forget seeing them live at a Impericon Festival in Leipzig (Germany) with the whole damn hall singing "all my life I've been waiting for something that never came". It was surely the most impressive thing that I've ever seen.
Saw them play this live in Philly on their tour with STYG. Talked to Jesse and Jon after the concert. They were really relatable, at least for me. Ive had close ones disappear, and this music is what keeps me going nowadays. Big thanks to TGI/STYG.
Since the release of Aftermath I've been revisiting all my favorite tracks from TGI, which is basically their whole discography. Even their EP from their, A Dying Dream days. And in their last 2 albums it's almost as if they invoked this tragic tragedy. This song alone in particular, "Full speed ahead, it's time to start things ove" and tracks like Phoenix, and Mercy,"life is swing hard, but I'm swinging harder" It's as almost as if life was literally like, "Ok, put your money where your mouth is."
The wolf licking the blade disguised as something satisfying is a perfect representation of addiction (this song is about addiction for those who don’t know)
"All my life, I've been waiting for something, That NEVER came, it never came, but I'm still saying: All my life, I've been searching for something, To BREAK these chains, to break these chains, But I'll keep swinging..." I've heard that so many times and I was every time so sad, because you haven't found what could fill that empty space on you, what can still now broke every chains! I hope you'll one day discover this peace on you, like I have. 💎 (This message is for everybody who recognize hisself in these words)
It's funny, when I first saw the thumbnail and title I thought it was a new video game because of the engine part of the title. I have to say it was the best mistake ever because I really like this song.
This song still hits deep , ALL MY LIFE IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMETHING THAT NEVER CAME , ALL MY LIFE IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING TO BREAK THESE CHAINS
I was at the last concert they ever had here in San Antonio the next morning I heard about he accident on their way to El Paso and I literally balled my eyes out! These are some of the humblest people I've ever met. 😢
Saw them in NY a couple of days before the accident... I'm from Europe and this was my first show in NY. I couldn't believe what happened afterwards... "All my life..." I hope I will see these guys playing live again...
After all there time off. Seen them live the other weekend at unify. To say they havnt lost it is an understatement. The vibes were electric. Cant wait to hear the new album. You guys are an inspiration!
I found this band through this song and I remember learning of the bus accident through a comment on this video. I cant find the comment but the person had mentioned how the comeback from it would legendary In 2020 after the release of TGI self titled..it certainly was
Found this song over two years ago and to this day it still gives me goosebumps when i listen to it. Like i know this genre is always bashed for being relatable and manipulative but something about this song strikes such a strong emotion that cant be described. I hope these guys fully recover soon and get back to making some legendary music.
5 years since this masterpiece was out. Probably my favorite song of all time, too much feelings. Hope they are doing better, we need so much more TGI :)
In case you don't fully get the knife thing and why they chose that specifically as the imagery for the video, it's something eskimos used to do to catch wolves. Dip a knife in seal's blood, freeze it, dip it again... til they have a bloody popsicle with a knife inside of it. They keep going at it faster and faster because they're getting rewarded with more and more blood, not even realizing it's their own.
I swear that no song has made me want to quit my addiction more. Thank you because over the last two years I have done much better because of the motivation I found in this song.
I've been waiting ages for something like this. Riffs that can drop a powerful emotion in heartbeats. Lyrics with strong senses. Voices that could wake up deads. Really, it has been so long. I feel may be the day you'll earn a top place in my heart, For me, at the same level as All that Remains and Bring me the Horizon, and I fuckin' love them. My most honest congratulations. I really enjoy your music.
For Today, The Ghost Inside, Parkway Drive, Fit For a King, The Devil Wears Prada, Of Mice and Men, Born of Osiris, Beartooth, and The Word Alive!!! It's going to be a sick nasty Warped Tour.
Hope to see these guys live again, they are absolutely phenomenal live. One of the few bands who sound as good live as they do on records. One of the best shows I've been to!
Marianne Almardeni ya Idk either I've been forced to sit through asking, 3 times and each time it gets drastically worse yet somehow they still manage to headline over bands way better then them that can actually perform like ghost inside for instance lol
In fact for me, the song is getting better after a while. ^^ I also have trouble with the voice at the beginning but sometimes it pays off still listening through the entire song. :)
CrusaderPRT Na, I'm a DBA fan. :) Love pretty much all of their songs from the beginning until the end and there's also some other songs which are real metalcore, that I like. Also my taste has changed a bit within these few months. ^^
+CrusaderPRT Here's some examples of songs (or bands) I really like: BMTH, Dez Moines (The Devil Wears Prada), Trivium, BFMV, A7X, TAA, Few songs from Alesana, etc.
yea most music not in the pop lexicon is quite lyrical or it doesn't go anywhere. You need to grind extra hard and be extra expressive or you get ignored. People aren't just dancing to this music they are emotionally connected to it. It's quite beautiful
damn.. end of 2024, i'm still here for that's one masterpiece! All my life I've been waiting for something.... every fucking time i had goosebumps everywhere
man, this song never gets old and inspires me every single time i hear it. struggled with addiction to IV heroin, crack and basically any other drug i could get my hands on for years, and been clean since Sept 2016, don’t even smoke weed anymore (used to be another every day thing for me), most i ever do now is have 1 (occasionally 2) drinks socially when out with friends or having dinner with family, but then, i was never a big fan of drinking or getting drunk anyway. this song means so much to me
I'm here at the end of 2024. At almost 40 years old, I am here to say this song will remain relevant. Well done.

That was fucking brilliant to read.
Which obviously ties right in to the fact this song is about addiction.

Fuck reading that lineup just made me flashback to being there that year. Was a good one.
Hope to see these guys live again, they are absolutely phenomenal live. One of the few bands who sound as good live as they do on records. One of the best shows I've been to!
I'm going to see them next month together with Asking Alexandria.
I'm so hyped, they sound really good :)
They'll blow AA out of the water. AA Just sucks period.
In Melkweg ? I'm really doubting about buying a ticket cause AA is shit imho and I'm a poor student so every concert counts.
how the hell is a band like this preforming with a ban like AA? The Ghost Inside is to good to play with a shit band like AA
Marianne Almardeni ya Idk either I've been forced to sit through asking, 3 times and each time it gets drastically worse yet somehow they still manage to headline over bands way better then them that can actually perform like ghost inside for instance lol
The Asking Alexandria concert was the first time i heard them And i found them good!
Now i'm here
I feel like this beatiful song has been publicated yesterday
The Kasin I read that as "Pubicated" and I was all like "dafuq is pubicating" actually I don't want to know.
Zakass Of 'Murica TwT pubicated is the new black
This song always makes me cry
LOVE THESE GUYS!!! Such an awesome song! And these guys are some of the nicest poeple too! Huge fan of The Ghost Inside!
In fact for me, the song is getting better after a while. ^^ I also have trouble with the voice at the beginning but sometimes it pays off still listening through the entire song. :)
CommanderCH Wow commander likes metalcore. Haha, nice man! Love your payday vids!
+CommanderCH omg I totally agree with that and Dez Moines too lol
Atley Meow Hmmm... someone who seems to like the same type of music. ;) Want to share some tracks somewhen?
7 months sober, this is the song i come back to when i feel i’m going to relapse
you've got this Lauren stay strong my dude
This song always reminds me of the animated movie "Alpha & Omega".
A very good movie which is to much underrated.
xD lol i like that movie
These guys were amazing lined up with bmth iktpq and trs at say goodbye tour, have loved them ever since!
It took a while for me to understand metal and now i understand, the beat is good an if you listen closely you can hear the good lyrics
Welcome to metal brother
yea most music not in the pop lexicon is quite lyrical or it doesn't go anywhere. You need to grind extra hard and be extra expressive or you get ignored. People aren't just dancing to this music they are emotionally connected to it. It's quite beautiful
2:49 This is glory!
this song is godlike
2019. Thank you for this song. Hits home so hard right now.
Such an awesome song
holy balls this is amazing
Drummer is freaking insane!
damn.. end of 2024, i'm still here for that's one masterpiece!
All my life I've been waiting for something.... every fucking time i had goosebumps everywhere
This is awesome !
my favorite band. going to see them on saturday with the devil wears prada :D so fucking excited. omg.
still listening in 2016 ❤💙💚💛💜
man, this song never gets old and inspires me every single time i hear it. struggled with addiction to IV heroin, crack and basically any other drug i could get my hands on for years, and been clean since Sept 2016, don’t even smoke weed anymore (used to be another every day thing for me), most i ever do now is have 1 (occasionally 2) drinks socially when out with friends or having dinner with family, but then, i was never a big fan of drinking or getting drunk anyway. this song means so much to me
It really sounds like Jeremy McKinnonin the first verse of "all my life". this recording. He produced this album.
He has guest vocals on the track if u look it up. He is the backing vocals as well.
