A grayscale page using only one pencil. For color I think yellow would be really challenging because I find many of them hard to see. Another idea is to do a paint only page!
Absolutely agree with both: grey because it would be sooo pretty, and yellow to be a little mean, because that would probably be even more difficult than red!
I'd love to see a grey or orange challenge! Also still hoping for a yellow challenge, and a brown one. Since this is your channel, I also don't think this series would be complete without a teal challenge, and while you're at it, maybe also turqoise and peach?
I loved the red leaves you painted in the background. I don't think I would ever do a challenge like this with every art supply, it looks too stressful, haha, but I LOVE watching you do it! Sometimes I wish I didn't immediately watch every single video you post...then I could have new videos of yours to binge-watch :D
BROWN! BROWN!! BROWN!!! Any coloring artist gets jazzed about browns! So many different browns! And what a beautiful vintage feel you could achieve on a detailed page, just the thought gets me hyped up. Keep them coming Sarah you are the best
I love how this turned out!! Monochromatic artworks are such an interesting challenge. I just finished this exact same challenge and so I understand your struggle with keeping contrast and interest without the whole artwork becoming a mess. The only difference is I used browns that fell into their respective colour groups and I kept all the mediums separate (planned the artwork to have multiple elements). This kept the contrast (except for yellow! My god that was a pain) so maybe that's an idea to not exclude your darkest supplies in future. The same would be normally done for blue, green and purple anyway, the only difference is red, orange and yellow become browns instead. Such a great job though, especially using around 900 art supplies which is just insane!! I'm curious to see how much green and blue you would have since those were my biggest colour groups.
I clicked this video SO FAST!!! I've been waiting for another one! I was actually thinking the other day how cool it would be to turn a coloring page into looking like a sepia tone photograph or an antique tin type. PLEASE take this challenge on. You're the only one I trust to do it justice.
I can't get over how much it still looks right even though it's all just one colour. I love your commitment to the video with even having only red skittles or m&m's, can't quite tell which as watching on my phone today. You did an amazing job
Lovely result Sarah! Try using household alcohol, rubbing or vodka(hic) to blend your soft pastels, stix, pencils and the pastel pans. You can really get some lovely effects. Don't forget your foreground, Pebbles, stone or clumps of grass will let you use a few more of your supplies to shade and 'plant' said pebbles, stone or grass. and lead the viewer into the art. I think you are super brave to challenge yourself with so many mediums at one go. I've done grey scale water color, and a portrait commission in blues and black... As always, Thank you for sharing your time, your tremendous skill, your amazing talent and your adventure.👍🤟🪡🎨
This looks amazing but I love creating art with pink and red so I might be a little bit biased haha! I definitely would have started with watercolour too, you had a great system in place for the order 😊
Instead of a "One Colour Challenge" - how about a slight take on that, where you take the rainbow (ROYGBIV) and take ONE pencil variation of each of them colours (7 pencils only in total) and colour in a famous picture / scene from movie that is / was traditionally black and white (Frankenweenie?) .
I've always loved watching you color. I hope you will post more videos of coloring book projects. These one-color series are very interesting. Keep up the great work 🖤
Impressive! I especially appreciate that you didn't over plan. As always it looks great. Feel free to pick another color to try out. I know that purple has already been done, but I don't think there could ever be too many purple art pieces in the world. Blessings.
Wonderful challenge and fabulous result!! ❤♥️ But despite the difficulty of this challenge, I think the real challenge was not eating all the red M&Ms 😅
Hello Sarah, What a beautiful page!! When you mentioned "red" I was extremely curious as to how it would turn out but it's absolutely fantastic! I too was thinking of a grey/black or yellow page. Thank you for sharing I Love your channel. 🤗
I loved it! We are old so it's ok to forget abot simba, he is in our hearts but no in our minds for details hahahahahha When are we going to have our favorite color ? TEAL
At the end of my brief watercolor journey I used the paints to lay backgrounds and pencils on top for details. It worked quite well. But since you were putting watercolor over pencils I wonder if working with a very dry brush might have been easier? It turned out lovely in any case. Well done!
I would love to see purple or grey! I love seeing you do these challenges. You make such beautiful work! AND you have given me an idea for a new video. I haven't make a video in over a month after losing my Grandma. It's time to get back in the saddle!
This turned out lovely :) love the lion king myself. I am so happy you done another one color challenge ❤ I cant wait to see another one color challenge in the future.
The green was my favourite. I don’t know why but all this red made me anxious. Still, amazing job. This was such a hard challenge because there wasn’t a lot of variation in tone. I have mad respect for your colouring skills.
I'd love to see you color in the stranger things coloring book. I saw it at Walmart and wanted to get it but I got the world of color on by Kirby Rosones. I still got it on my list though. Btw I love the art work! I have such a good day when I see a video by y'all!
I really like your 1 color challenges. Please do a lot more of them! I like to see almost any color, yellow sounds good and I wonder is it even possible to do with black?
For sure, pink is light red & should be allowed in this challenge, just the way pale blues & greens can be used in those challenges. Thank you for exploring all these materials & how they interact! And it's satisfying to see such a huge stockpile of materials all dumped out on the table! 😅
Simba turned out amazing!! 🦁 What a challenge, and you did a very creative job on the project!! ❤ It looks fun and lighthearted!! 🥰 My first thought since you kept seeing a muddy look was actually brown... But grey could be interesting too! 🤎 However, I'm a big rainbow lover and you are missing orange and yellow yet!! 🌈 Good luck!! 💞
“Is this Simba?” Me yelling at home: YES THAT IS SIMBA FROM THE SONG SCENE “JUST CANT WAIT TO BE KING!” You even have a Simba mug in the background sometimes that could have been use for reference! @ 7:15 “yes this is Simba from my favorite scene “Just can’t wait to be king” “ Me: yes!
It's been a while since I don't watch your videos. You used to sound like you felt pain by pronouncing each word you said, so I would often watch your videos without sound. Now, your speech has improved a lot, I don't know if you actively did anything about it, but it really has improved. Your video was lovely, as always, and your speech was very pleasant.
I really enjoy your one color challenges but I also wonder how it would be if you did a 2 or 3 color challenge by picking random colors. It would be interesting to see what would be easier or harder with multiple colors.
A challenge where you use only neons ❤, since you seem to hate them so much, should be fun to see you use them as the main supply. Since neons are kind of weird, you are allowed to use other colors just for light and shadows effects.
This turned out awesome٫ i thought it was going to be too red and painful to stare at but you did amazing٫ everything you did worked perfectly and the finished piece is really something to be proud of (even though im sure your proud with everything you create٫ i know its all amazing ) and i love watching all your vids and it inspired me to do colour challenges myself and it really made me think about the values and was fun
Have you seen my ONLY GREEN challenge? ua-cam.com/video/OmWEmJwrmRI/v-deo.html
no and i want to llearn how to make realistic art
yes
The green is my favorite so far..👍🤟🪡🎨

I would love to see an orange only page! Such an under-utilised colour.
Same
I agree
Yes! Also companies never put enough orange colors in pencils and markers
@@Snickerszn omg thank you someone else is saying it! There are so many amazing shades and we never get any of them!

This is stunning Sarah! I would love to see this challenge in yellow. It’s such a bright and happy color!

IT IS A GREAT IDEA TO CHALLENGE ONESELF WITH ONLY ONE COLOUR. HI, I AM MARIA, RECENTLY FOLLOWING YOUR VIDEOS, I AM FROM MELBOURNE TOO. BYE MARIA
I clicked this video SO FAST!!! I've been waiting for another one! I was actually thinking the other day how cool it would be to turn a coloring page into looking like a sepia tone photograph or an antique tin type. PLEASE take this challenge on. You're the only one I trust to do it justice.
The hard work paid off! And I love the detail of only red M&Ms lol
Also: Nice linework! 👍
Next challenge: Design a series of colour cubes using the “only one colour” theme. 🙂
This turned out very well. 👏 Next challenge? I would like to see one using a warm gray or French gray coloured pencils palette.🤩
Sarah is so extra for also using red tape to hold down the paper and only red M&M's. I love your videos!
Red is my favorite color. So glad it finally got a chance to shine ❤
You can do a hole painting with every color and supplies you have. Acrylic, pencil, markers with more
I can't get over how much it still looks right even though it's all just one colour. I love your commitment to the video with even having only red skittles or m&m's, can't quite tell which as watching on my phone today. You did an amazing job
I was waiting for this challenge for so long as red is one of my fav colours thank you sarah ❤
Glad you finally used RED! My favorite color! Very NICE, as your art always is!
Simply amazing!
You're like a color magician. This is my first time watching one of your videos and I'm so impressed.

Very interesting concept, thanks for sharing ❤
Great video Sarah, I’d love to see purple x
Thank you so much for sharing that amazing piece of art!
From all your, one color challenge, this is my favorite. Very challenging indeed!
We will always support you. Keep up the good work.
Looked amazing 😻. Well done

Beautiful picture. I think orange or brown would look really nice.
I thought you did a brilliant job. You inspire me every time I watch. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
I love your art and how you explain how to do certain things
Wow ! This artwork is amazing ! I love it !
WOW STUNNNG GORGEOUS GREAT I LOVE IT!!!
Seems as though a greyscale challenge is quite popular! (I agree! Maybe a scene out of The Frog Princess?)
Wonderful challenge and fabulous result!! ❤♥️ But despite the difficulty of this challenge, I think the real challenge was not eating all the red M&Ms 😅
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting forever for a coloring video

I loved that you didn’t use the original paper, it looks great!
I think you did great with the all red picture of Simba 😊🥰❤️
i love how this came out. It didnt look muddy to me at all. The page is beautiful :D
the piece is stunning!

Great work by a great artist ❤
Great piece
Finally Sarah! 🎉

I LOVE THE COLOUR RED I WILL TRY IT MYSELF TOO
I'm ACTUALLY early! I love your videos you inspire me soo much as a young artist. Keep making amazing content ❤️
Orange would be lovely!

Yes!! I love Red!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Also yes that was Simba. Glad you recognized later in the vid what scene it was. lol
That’s so cool!
What an awesome picture anyway please keep safe and well 😍
You are the worlds best colourist and artist 🧑🎨 ❤

Well only CERTAIN pinks should be allowed as the bright pinks (like pig pink) shouldn’t be allowed
Wow, so beautiful ❤
Well done!
This was fun to watch. I can’t believe how many red art supplies you have.
Would love to see a yellow page 😍
I’d love to see an all yellow challenge. Yellow is notoriously difficult color to work with and I’d love to see your take on it
Simba turned out amazing!! 🦁 What a challenge, and you did a very creative job on the project!! ❤ It looks fun and lighthearted!! 🥰 My first thought since you kept seeing a muddy look was actually brown... Awesome video Sarah! 😊
Yellow or orange would be fun.
“Is this Simba?”
Me yelling at home: YES THAT IS SIMBA FROM THE SONG SCENE “JUST CANT WAIT TO BE KING!” You even have a Simba mug in the background sometimes that could have been use for reference!
@ 7:15 “yes this is Simba from my favorite scene “Just can’t wait to be king” “
Me: yes!
In lieu of the fact you already did blue, I'd say a good idea would be a teal based set👍❤ could see you being able to tackle that happily
Too the untrained eye it looks fabulous. Maybe a white to highlight areas of the leaves would have made it pop but other than that it looks great!
I just got the 120 set of castle art pencils and I love them so much 🎉❤😊 they are the gold set have you done an all orange theme?
You have my dream art room
Black/gray for Halloween!! 😁
How did you upscale the image size?
Photocopier
Thank you.
Beautiful. I’d be hiding some mediums lol. Great job Sarah 💜💜
I was definitely tempted to hide the watercolor paints! Haha
Nice use of reds in all different mediums. Not my favorite color, but the result is great!
HAVE YOU TRIED A CHALLENGE OF THE COLOUR YELLOW? IT IS A LOVELY HAPPY COLOUR
So excited! Instead of buying the traditional wall calendar for 2024, so I chose your Planner!!! Ordered last night.
Hope you enjoy it!
@@SarahRenaeClark I am sure I will!
Do Gray or all the pastel colors that would be so pretty!!

What is that red jar skittles?
Simba's smile must have made you happy while colouring!
Use all black, gray and white supplies, or at least color pencils and jelly markers (that way you could use the white to highlight).
Amazing😍
I know it's not the most interesting color to draw with, but it would be cool to see how challenging it would be to do an all black one.
I really enjoy your one color challenges but I also wonder how it would be if you did a 2 or 3 color challenge by picking random colors. It would be interesting to see what would be easier or harder with multiple colors.
What was the light she used for the tracing of the coloring page

I loved how you started panicking about whether or not it was Simba.
