I almost never talk about packaging, but WOW, talk about well branded. The boxes are beautiful and functional (from what I can tell, anyway), and they look like they even close with magnets. I know this is very business-nerd of me, but I can't help it! It's so rare to see art supplies packaged and decorated with such care and actually looking aesthetically pleasing to keep on your desk, and I love it. It definitely speaks to the attention to detail Arrtx has for their products. Something tells me those colored pencils probably won't be ending up in one of your cups, lol
Right! And you would think that all art supplies would have some beautiful, amazing packaging, but they're even more boring than most other product packaging 🤣🤣
@@amypanddirtytoo1926 Right?! You would think that companies would know that if anyone will appreciate the way something looks, it's artists! We spend a lot of time designing and creating, so having something that is aesthetically pleasing should be an obvious choice!
Arrtx has the best packaging!! I wish Ohuhu would take up a better packaging style like Arrtx has

I'm drooling. I have an unhealthy obsession with art, craft, and office supplies despite having no use for most of them. This menagerie of art supplies is like a dream come true. I'll just pretend that I actually have them, not just watching them in a video. 🤤😍
I got the pencils a while back and I really love how they blend. I do agree with the fact that they have a large range of yellows, and I was hoping to see more pinks and reds.
I would love to see a comparison of these VS Arteza pencils. previously you had recommended those as close dupes and good pencils to try. I bought those and did like them.
I love that you're honest with your reviews, it's one of the many reasons I come back to your channel. I've also never had a problem with arrtx art supplies, I love their gouache, their acrylic brush pens (that act more like gouache than acrylic) and their mixed media sketchbook, so I don't doubt that their markers and coloured pencils would be good. Btw paul Ruben watercolours are amazing and you'll love them. I'm asthmatic, so I cant use oil paints, but I have no complaints on the watercolours.
I concur with your thoughts regarding this channel. I did not realize that oil paints could be bad for asthmatics. Thanks for the heads up.
@@annihull6373 it's mostly the solvents needed for them, charcoal, sharpies and chalk pastels are also bad for asthmatics. You shouldn't use them if you have any breathing issues. A good work around for charcoal are carbon pencils, as they blend as easily and get as dark but there are no negative effects in breathing
@@annihull6373 oh, and most spray fixatives are also bad for asthmatics, I use acrylate based hair spray which does the same thing but doesn't cause an asthma attack
I have the Arrtx 72 colored pencils and I have REALLY enjoyed them! I am going to order the 80Ct Oros Markers and see how I like layering them! Thank you SO MUCH for trying these products out so we don't have to!!! Ha ha ha.... really enjoy ALL of your videos.... keep arting!
I absolutely love my Arrtx markers. I only have the skin tone pack but have been so impressed with them I am saving up to buy the rest of the range. Now I'm tempted try the watercolor paints. I love your review and your picture was amazing! It was inspiring to see you use your chosen colors.

I enjoy watching your well-researched and as-unbiased-as-possible art supply reviews, and your coloring process is lovely to witness! Plus as I am a newcomer to markers, using markers and pencils together (9:13) is something to consider. Markers for large gaps, pencils to fill in the smaller details.
It's refreshing that Arrtx is responding so promptly and transparently. I do hope they'll expand on their color range - then I can skip on Brutfuner and, instead, use these potential Prismacolor competitors :D
I have these Arrtx pencils and love them! I totally agree about so many yellows in this set and would love to see a larger set with more range of colors! Thank you for a great review of these Arrtx products, I have so many alcohol markers (Ohuhu) that I am going to experiment with them.

In my humble opinion....the metallic water colour was a risky but brilliant choice! It goes with the colour palette and adds to the whimsy of the picture. Great job!
I just got the pencils two days ago. The packaging is the first standout! I feel like packaging is a customers first howdy do to the product so I was impressed. I’ve just started playing with them but really hoping some pros start doing color alongs! I was rather relieved to see your review to be honest! I saw another colorists reviewing them and the packaging alone drew me in!
I have this set and I LOVE them!! I've had them for a few months now. I am a yellow lover and that is what drew me to this set, haha. More yellow the better. I find that often sets don't have enough yellows. So, with that, I am very pleased. I'm also glad to hear that they will make them open set as well. That's good news!! Thanks for the review. I would love more videos specifically using this set. How to choose colours to blend for example. It's nice to be able to follow along with a set to match with the creator. I don't have any high-end sets so it's hard to get that. Most creators use the expensive brands and then I scramble to find a match. :)

Love love love that picture. I would love to see comparison videos of both the markers and the pencils as well. I’m always on the lookout to expand my collections. The packaging is great. Not too big and and I wouldn’t have to but yet another pencil case so I could store them.

I have these pencils. I love how Prismacolors are specially their white. But these Arrtx are fantastic. I had one pencil that had the engraving upside down and I sent them an email, they replied super fast.

I only use Paul Rubens watercolor paper, some people have difficulty with it due to the low amount of sizing but I love it. The paper is just so wonderful to use for my techniques.
Love the pencils and the packaging great for coloring in my chair.

Super Vision watercolors are super granulating and ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I LOVE THEM. I use whenever I can.

Howdy and happy day!! What a great looking set of pencils! (Now I’m considering how I can justify purchasing yet another set of pencils…😂) The page turned out great! I can see how the first “traditional” finish could be more attractive to ya but I like the metallic add ons… as Bob Ross says- that was your bravery test. You totally passed imo.
And of course, now you’ll be able to use this experience to adapt that to something else later, which will be fun!
I’m looking forward to what you do with all those oil paints too!

I liked the gold being added, makes it look like the reflection from the sun.
I really like Arrtx. I use their alcohol marker for like not serious art and the boxes are always so gorgeous. Plus their jelly gouache is nice

Love the colouring page. Your art is really pretty. I like both versions, before the paint and after. However I prefer the before the paint version. Please do an alcohol marker comparison video. I loved this video. It is great when we get to see other people try out brands that are cheaper and compare them because then we get an idea how good/bad they really are without having to buy the most expensive brand to get the highest quality and results. I do not know how I missed this video as I have been checking to see when your new videos are coming out. I have not seen much content lately, which has actually been good for me because I have been busy. However I miss your videos. Looking forward to more of your art and videos. I love watching you. I enjoy your joy and overachievement capabilities.

Enjoy both the oil paints and the watercolor sets! Watercolor is my favorite one to use these days. Interesting set of pencils, I agree: too much yellow, maybe more pinks and violets? I don’t know, I don’t like yellow that much. Nice video as always!
def pinks , purples and reds , different greens but i can see if they do a bigger set more of those colours will be prob introduced i hope !
For the arrtx pencils on Amazon. I just found out today that they have not only a 72 count set but a 126 count set as well. I definitely want to try these pencils out for sure 😄

I think the colouring page came out wonderfully. I'm looking forward to seeing you compare the markers - another channel recently tested the Arrtex bullet nib markers, and found them a bit dry - I wonder if their set was a bit old, or if perhaps it's just how their nibs are.
The chisels on a few of my ALP markers were dry too, so I think it is an age thing. My Oros markers were perfect
They look GREAT. I have some prisma colour pencils but they break ALL the time and I'm so over them. I'll wait a bit until they make the changes you have spoken about and will then invest in some of these pencils. I don't mind if they aren't as ??smooth as prisma, they look like they would suit me.
I’m really really tempted to buy these but I’m not sure why. I love the wax pencils I have (Black Widow). Maybe I just want them for the novelty? Thank you so much for contacting them with our concerns. I think I will hold off for now and buy the Derwent 36 Inktense instead and learn how to use those. Still the look of the Artexx is really nice❤. I’ll wait until a larger set is available with a better color selection. If I can buy them open stock that will be a real plus. Right now I’m very happy with my Black Widows.
I think im going to try these over castle arts! My b-day is soon lol! I think im liking this range of colors over castle arts and im wondering if the yellow range here for arrtx has been tweaked since 9 months have passed. I like the case more for arrtx too...

The Paul Rubens paper, and their metallic watercolor palette, are completely unrivaled to me. I've finished three Paul Rubens 5x7 blocks this year alone!
I was guessing that these artex 72 coloured pencils will be a little bit like beginner's coloured pencils but when I saw the swatches I was surprised 😮 by these and one more thing that you can try faber castell 48 triangular coloured pencils I use them only in my coloured pencils drawings

Totally enjoying these pencils.
One other thing that I'd like Arttx to consider is that I'm finding that the writing on the pencils wears off with continued use.
Other than that, I'm really happy with them. Larger sets, individual stock with larger writing will be very welcome.

Nice page with markers and pencils. The other products are looking good too! Watercolor pans allow you to control water more if you want to use bits of color on top of your coloring pages. Just light touches of iridescent watercolor in some areas, maybe, and built up in layers.
When using tubes, you don’t need to get so much out. Tip: unused tube watercolor pigments can be scraped on your tin palette, add glycerin (a couple of drops) to keep it from breaking into pieces. The pigment will keep its moisture and It can be used again without problem. When you are on a budget, or art supplies are so expensive, you want to save as much of the pigment as you can. This is my situation: almost all the good art supplies are imported, so they are pricey, really pricey. Add to this that I do not live in a big city, and my closest specialized art store is 20 kms away… saving pigments is a must!
The tube watercolor basically pushed itself out of the tube, probably because it was brand new 😬
@@SarahRenaeClark yes, that will happen to you all the time, with any brand. That’s why I keep a tin palette nearby for those extras that come out in excess. I add glycerin and let the palette around for the next time I need the colors.
Another thing I do with new tubes is that I use a needle to make 3/4 micro holes to let some air go in and then push the tube softly, it helps control the amount.
There are watercolor pigments that are worth saving like the glittery or metal ones. I give this tip to my students, as they tend to push so much pigment out of tubes (not only the first time the tube is open).
