We were there in July 2019, the day after Ricardo Rossello resigned. There was a lot if graffiti on the historical buildings and celebratory riots in the streets. It was a great day to visit! Everyone partied all night.
I’m really surprised watching a video of you in San Juan, thanks a lot for coming here and show to the world how beautiful Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 is. You are really welcome!!!
I got to say for being that you live in NYC and know alot of NYC history the fact that you know alot about Puerto Rico is awesome. Thank you for this history tour .🇵🇷 🇺🇲
We really enjoyed your tour of Puerto Rico. Thanks for making it. We loved Anthony Bourdain and could see you doing something like he did. You are a gem of a person!!🇵🇷
How in the world does this guy know so much about every area he is in, he doesn't skip a beat. I do find him interesting and entertaining, and he'd be a cool dude to meet.
Aside from all the fab insights and your originality on these tours, I love the way you point out the animals.....the NYC dogs, the cats, pigeons and chickens in PR. You seem like a sincere and warm guy! Always awaiting the next video! Gracias!!
Old San Juan is still as beautiful as I remember on my last visit to P.R. Enjoyed the tour, Tom. Hope tourism increases by next year...it's such a beautiful island. Thanks for sharing!
Great job Tom. Your videos are great, funny and very informative. FYI, the reason why the Puerto Rican flag has the colors of the Cuban flag is because Cuba helped Puerto Ricans whom were persecuted by American government by giving them shelter in their country so we adapted their flag colors in honor of their hospitality and help. Also Dr Albizu Campos was an extraordinary man who wanted the best for the island. Please do more research about all he did and attempted to do for his people and land before and after Luis Muñoz sold his soul and that of the people of Puerto Rico to the US. Overall great video
You are so right. Pedro Albizu Campos was Everything! Everyone needs to read the book "War Against All Puerto Ricans" so they could understand how the U.S. did Puerto Rico dirty in the 1900" s.
@@annettecotto1088 I wish more people did research about all our great forgotten leaders. Especially Doctor Albizu Campos. “. War against All Puerto Ricans” great book!!!!
@@lookingback5889 I be on twitter posting his photos from Harvard law school, the sugarcane plantation strike, and many more. I also use his name on my account in capital letters. Til the day I die I'll share his life stories. In Harlem, NYC they are learning about him , and the lower east side. I just learned about him in 2020. I cry when I seen him tortured with human radiation. I Love him! He loved us all. Pedro Albizu Campos VIVE!
Good to know your in my island. I actually follow you and Sarah some years ago and it was impressive to see you here, not only in my island but in my neighborhood, Old San Juan. I am also a volunteer of Save a Gato. Thanks for mentioning us in your video :)
So many people leave out these parts of PR history. Thank you for full transparency/accurately sharing our history with the world. Thank you for speaking of the good and the ugly.
Didn't expect to see you outside NYC. This video was a nice surprise. As an Aussie, I knew Puerto Rico was a US territory but didn't know much about its history. Thanks for the tour and all the sick plugs 😊
You should read "War Against All Puerto Ricans" you are gonna be in shock what the U.S. has done too Puerto Ricans. The U.S. forced sterilization on Puerto Rican woman from 1930-1970. Charles Herbert Allen wired Puerto Rico entire sugarcane plantation economy to Wall Street which is Domino Sugar today. Pedro Albizu Campos was the first Puerto Rican too graduate from Harvard law school. He was burned & tortured with human radiation, by the hands of the United States. Please read the book. So much in it. Thanks
Tom,Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful place I have ever visited and beautiful ppl.I would love to visit again.I miss sipping on Piña colada.enjoy ur time.thank u for the video.

Tom, I had to watch this video through twice in prep for my visit in 2021. I honestly don't know how you retain all this badass info. SICK, as the kids say. Had my History Profs been this hilarious, I would have retained something! Excellent job, as usual. Sweating your ass off for all of your followers (and we thank you, baybay!) ¡Otro fantástico tour! ¿Cómo puedes recordar tanta información? Increíble! No sé si estás ahora en PR, pero si es así, no dejes de ir a Ponce, seguro te gustará. ¡Saludos!

Tom I do believe you are moving into "Anthony Bourdain" territory. Next stop the island of "Cyprus"! I would love to get your take on that divided island of Greeks and Turks. Oh, the island is quiet lovely too, so I hear.
