Cold for the Alleghenies at least. Our wood stove has been running 24/7 and we have some of those wall heaters for supplement heat.

Now that is a birthday cake. Great to see you were prepared with backup heat. It has been cold here and snowing for days. I get to take my Yooper shovel up on the roof today and push off the snow before it turns to ice and more snow piles up on that.....the joys of living in the north lol. Maple sugar all day every day in my book.
There was only one time we thought we might have to shovel our roof, and it was one of the most unpleasant thoughts I've ever had about winter 😅😱 Be safe up there! I'm so looking forward to spring after this recent winter blast! Yes, maple sugar is going to be a staple around here - I can feel it in my bones 🤣 Stay warm and cozy!
Yikes. Sorry about the furnace. Our heat pump quit heating as normal during the last cold spell. My neighbor stopped by and looked at it yesterday. The capacitor was going in and out (mostly out). It was still keeping the house warm using emergency heat. But I'm gonna hate to see the next electric bill. But we are fixed now. Great idea for your natural gas heaters. We don't have gas service here. I'd have to look at a propane tank.
